Error when activating Infopath form deployed as a feature

I've packaged a form as a feature and created the appropriate WSP file for it.  i then deployed this feature to a target system using the following commands: @SET STSADM="C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN\STSADM" @ECHO OFF ECHO Retract Solution %STSADM% -o retractsolution -n "Crown.SharePoint.CAPEXForm.wsp" -immediate ECHO ====== %STSADM% -o execadmsvcjobs ECHO Remove Solution %STSADM% -o deletesolution -n "Crown.SharePoint.CAPEXForm.wsp" -override ECHO ====== %STSADM% -o execadmsvcjobs ECHO Adding Solution %STSADM% -o addsolution -f "Crown.SharePoint.CAPEXForm.wsp" ECHO ====== %STSADM% -o execadmsvcjobs ECHO Deploying Solution %STSADM% -o deploysolution -n "Crown.SharePoint.CAPEXForm.wsp" -immediate -allowgacdeployment -force ECHO ====== %STSADM% -o execadmsvcjobs The deployment process completes without errors, and when I check under Central Admin > Solution Mgmt, my feature is there and shows as "Deployed/Globally Deployed".  So all looks good at this time. However, when I go to the Site Collection and try to activate the feature I get this error -- any ideas what may be going on here or what I'm missing? Feature '25f5615f-b338-48ff-8eb7-2ba05dd9972c' could not be installed because the loading of event receiver assembly "Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Server

"None of the selected features can be installed" error on SQL 2005 Cluster

Hey All, I installed SQL 2005 on a cluster.  Everything on the primary node works fine.  However, as the documentation suggests, the SQL Management Studio (and other tools) are not installed on the standby node by default.  However, when I go to try and install on the 2nd node I get the following error: TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Setup------------------------------ None of the selected features can be installed or upgraded. Setup cannot proceed since no effective change is being made to the machine. To continue, click Back and then select features to install. To exit SQL Server Setup, click Cancel. For help, click: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkID=20476&ProdName=Microsoft+SQL+Server&ProdVer=9.00.1399.06&EvtSrc=setup.rll&EvtID=SQLSetup90&EvtType=28108 ------------------------------The link is referencing something about requiring a complex SA password.   I can verify that the directory structure on node 1 where the management studio and client tools exist does not exist on node 2.   I'm at wits end here, I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling/everything. Anyone have any ideas? thanks!

Side-side by config error on Win7 64 apps if VS2008 is not installed on the system

Hi, I am using Win 764 bit application. When I try to run my application in target machine Iam gettting the following error. The application is running fine if the target machine has VS2008 and SP1 installed   "Unable to Load TekRobo Dll. The application has failed to start because its side -by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe for more detail (Exception from HRESULT:0x800736B1.)"        The Evn log viewer mesaage is as given below: Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Tektronix\TekRobo\TekRobo.dll". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT,processorArchitecture="amd64",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8" could not be found. Error deploying workflow feature in VS 2010

Hi all,

I have a VS 2010 state machine workflow solution, and am getting errors deploying the feature.  It is a 2 part question:

1. The error is: "Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features': Feature with Id '8ebb19f1-c0cc-49be-9d48-f56d0c0cfdf8' is not installed in this farm, and cannot be added to this scope."  Here is my feature:

<Feature Id="E7A6A9DB-FAA5-430E-8380-1C60A372879B" Scope="Site"
 ReceiverAssembly="Microsoft.Office.Workflow.Feature, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c"
 ReceiverClass="Microsoft.Office.Workflow.Feature.WorkflowFeatureReceiver" >
 <Property Key="GloballyAvailable" Value="true" />
 <Property Key="RegisterForms" Value="*.xsn"/>
 <ElementFile Location="ApprovalFormWComments.xsn" />

I added in the feature Id attribute just to try to resolve the error, but that didn't help as VS adds in the ID and scope automatically based on your settings in the feature designer window.

2. If you noti

"This feature installing a form template does not match the expected format" error

I'm trying to create a new SP Feature that consists of the following components -- an InfoPath form, a document library (list) where these forms will be used, and a custom Task list (that will be used in a workflow that is triggered when the form is submitted).  Each of these components was created in a DEV env and is working.  I then created my feature in Visual Studio 2008 and successfully created the WSP file.  I then (successfully) installed the WSP (I got no errors on install and all seemed well -- the "solution" shows up under Central Admin and shows as being deployed.

When I go to site settings, the feature shows up, but deactivated.  WHen I attempt to activate it, however, I get this error in the SP Logs:

Install Error -- The install in progress conflicts with a previous installed MS Office 2010 Server P

Working on a development image in Hyper-V.  This image had never had any beta installed of any product.  Had SharePoint Server 2010 and Office Web Apps installed but another installation of another product messed up IIS settings.  It was easier to just uninstall both and start again.  I uninstalled both fine but now when I try to reinstall SharePoint I get an error message saying:

"The install install in progress conflicts with a previous installed Microsft Office 2010 Server Product"

I have done multiple reboots, manually deleted the SharePoint folders on the machine and run CC Cleaner.  Still I get this error.

I even tried the advice suggsted in this blog post: http://blogs.technet.com/chad/archive/2010/04/28/Installing-SharePoint-2010-RTM-Over-Previous-Versions.aspx even though I never had beta installed.

Anyone have anythoughts?

The feature is for event handler.
After installation, I got the message as "operation completed successfully" on command prompt.
But, when I moved to site settings->site features I got the error as

After uninstalling the feature, I was able to view the page as it was.

I tried installing the same feature on another server and it worked fine there.
Can anybody help me?
Why I am getting this error?

Feature 'df31abb1-d432-4fa5-bdb1-25a2a5dd7e86' for list template '7655' is not installed in this

Hi guys!

I recent started developing issues in SharePoint 2007 and I'm find a little bit lost.

Recently, while creating a little windows application that go across a SharePoint portal finding documents, it recives the exception "Feature 'df31abb1-d432-4fa5-bdb1-25a2a5dd7e86' for list template '7655' is not installed in this farm." while try to enter in a list called Caml Query List.

I saw a lot of forums that recomend me to install the U2U feature, remove the list and then uninstall again the feature, but I don't know where I can find this feature and how I've got to do that.

Is this feature on the 12 hive?

I need to use the stsadm.exe aplication to install/uninstall or remove it?

Thanks in advance for the replys!

404 Not found error when redeployed a feature with different name.

Hi All,

I have deployed a feature globally with name say Feature_1. This feature contains 3 .aspx pages (page1.aspx, page2.aspx and page3.aspx). After deployment the feature was working fine.

Now I want to change the feature name and also want to add one new aspx page, lets say page4.aspx. So i modified my feature by changing the name form Feature_1 to Feature_2. And also added the new aspx page. After then I retracted and removed the Feature_1 solution through SharePoint Central Admin. And deployed the new solution i.e. Feature_2.

But now when I am browing the aspx pages I am getting "404 Not Found" error for page1.aspx, page2.aspx and page3.aspx. Whereas page4.aspx page get displayed properly.

Can anyone explain me why i am not getting the old aspx pages after changing the feature name.
Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Getting error while deactivating feature

I am getting below error when I try to deactivate a feature. Upon debugging it is failing when trying to delete the job (that is job.delete in the code snippet below).

I have observed that both feature activation/deactivation from 'site collection feature' link fails.

I am guessing it is a permission issue even though my account is included in site collection admin as well as farm admin. Please suggest if any other accounts (app-pool, system etc) needs any other permissions etc.

Below is the code snippet

        public override void FeatureDeactivating(SPFeatureReceiverProperties properties)

            SPSite site = properties.Feature.Parent as SPSite;

            // delete the job

            foreach (SPJobDefinition job in site.WebApplication.JobDefinitions)

                if (job.Name == TASK_LOGGER_JOB_NAME)
