Process incremental - few records not appending

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 28, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

out of 1000 records 10 records not adding to cube when i am incrementally processing the partition. what could be possible reasons for this exclusion?

Query i have binded with incremental processing returning 1000 but the difference between measure group count (before and after partition processing) is not 1000 it is less by 10 records.

what could be possible reasons for this exclusion?

Process incremental - few records not appending

I am doing incremental process to append records modified since last processing date. And it is binded with a query. Number of records query returning are not fully appending to cube partition. what could be possible reasons for this exclusion.

ex: query used to do incremental partitioning returns 1049 records (on relations DB) and then after cube processing i found the difference in measuregroup count (before and after) is not equal to above count..but less by 6 records. why is it excluding them? what could be possible reasons for this exclusion?

Thanks in advance

Process Data VS Incremental Process

HI All. what is the difference between Process Data VS Incremental Process.   Regards Amit

dimension's incremental process generates processing on all partitions in cube

Hey eb

Have any one noticed this behavior??

Incremental process (process update) of dimension generates reprocessing of indexes on all cube's partitions, even when no change has occured in that dimension.

I am using SSAS 2005 sp2.

This is disturbing because my cube holds some 700 daily partitions so processing indexes on all of them - on an hourly basis - is very time consuming.

Also it flashes that cube's cache!

I did noticed that changing heirarchies memberskeysunique property to True + changing the toppest attribute in this heirarchy mambernamesunique to true solves this problem.

Is this a must then to prevent recalculating indexes on partitions every process update of dimension??

ASP.NET Architecture - ASP.NET Worker Process - HTTP Pipleline - Http Modules and Handlers

"ASP.NET is a powerful platform for building Web applications, that provides a tremendous amount of flexibility and power for building just about any kind of Web application. Most people are familiar only with the high level frameworks like WebForms and WebServices which sit at the very top level of the ASP.NET hierarchy. In this article I'll describe the lower level aspects of ASP.NET and explain how requests move from Web Server to the ASP.NET runtime and then through the ASP.NET Http Pipeline to process requests.

ASP.NET GridView - edit records using JQuery Dialog

There are many ways in which you could modify modular data in Grid View:
1. Inline by making rows editable when u click on Edit
2. By using separate pages for Edit
3. By using popups/dialogs for adding/editing

adding XML 'records' with a key field

I have a vb.net Sub that is successfully adding 'records' to my XML file:

Private Sub btnSubmit_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, _
ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnSubmit.Click             'for adding an XML 'record'
        Using ds As New DataSet()
Dim dr As DataRow = ds.Tables(0).NewRow()
            dr("subject") = txtNewEvent.Text
            dr("year") = DateTime.Now.ToString("MM/dd/yy")
            txtNewEvent.Text = ""

For Multi-Language website which process is better in asp.net

I want to build multi-language website in asp.net 2008 and asp.net 2010. So, which process is better for building application? Using either Local and Global Resource or New Folder to make separate according to language?

Application performance should be good and also easy manageable.

Please suggest me in which way I will build the application either using resource or folder. If there is any other better solution then please share.

Patterns in Practice: Incremental Delivery Through Continuous Design

The end goal of software projects is to deliver value to the customer. Software design is a major factor in how successfully a team can deliver that value. The best designs are a product of continuous design rather than the result of an effort that tries to get the entire design right up front. This approach lets you strive to apply lessons learned from the project to continuously improve the design, instead of becoming locked into an erroneous design developed too early in the project.

Test Run: The Analytic Hierarchy Process

Most software testing takes place at a relatively low level. Testing an application's individual methods for functional correctness is one example. However, some important testing must take place at a very high level-for example, determining if a current build is significantly better overall than a previous build.
