Attachements problems - also - How to add Office Communicator link to sharepoint Form ?

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 26, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Hello

I have created an Infopath 2007 form and published it to Sharepoint 2007.

1. I can add "attachements" to the form, but the function can handle only one attachement per link. If i need to add 10 attachements, i have to create 10 attachement functions to the form.

Is it possible to create one attachement function in the Infopath form, that is able to save several attachements under it?

2. Is it possible to save .exe, .msi and similar files to the form as attachements? Sharepoint says security settings prohibit this.

3. How can i add a link that shows up as MS Office Communicator link in the form? For example: John Smith in Office communicator is now Online. I want his name and his status to show also in the Infopath form, when somebody opens it in Sharepoint.

Please help!

Sharepoint Foundation 2010 problems with Office 2007 ActiveX controls

I have a SPF server that I recently upgraded from WSS 3 using the database attach method. The new server configuration is SQL 2008 R2 with SPF 2010 on Windows 2008 64bit SP2. Mostly things are working fairly well, though there have been a few fires to put out. The latest inflamation seems to be centered around ActiveX controls for Office 2007. I'm getting the following message whenever I try to create a new document using the New button: " 'New Document' requires a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible application and web browser. To add a document to this document library, click the 'Upload Document' button." On the client side, the browser is IE8 on Windows 7 (Windows is 64bit, though the browser is in 32 bit mode.) using Office 2007. I've also had the same problem with systems running XP. In terms of troubleshooting, other activeX related features seem to be working fine. I can open datasheet views, if I click on a document, it will open in the appropriate client. However, I have some libraries where the Word document template opens the document information panel and those will give thhe following message on open: "One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either: 1)Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on thi page , or 2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the contols. As a result the page mi

To restore the association data to the workflow, restart the workflow settings wizard by selecting the workflow node in Solution Explorer and then clicking the ellipsis button (…) on one of the properties in the Properties window that has an ellipsis button.”

I'd really appreciate of any help.

How to link or hyperlink files form a File Share from SharePoint

Hi all

We want to put a hyperlink to a directory in a shared drive where there is plenty of space for archive and the overflow of documents.

When someone goes to a document folder and wants to upload their document on SharePoint, when they click, instead of going to the upload page, is there a way that they are hyperlinked to a share drive folder where there is plenty of room.

Is there a way to link or hyperlink  directly from a SharePoint document library to a file or file share?

Please advice

SharePoint 2007 - How to associate a Custom List View with a Custom Edit Form. Edit link always re

Can someone give me a clue of how to connect a specific Custom List View with a custom Edit Form.

I have created a custom list, and I have created a custom view attached to that list.   I also have a custom CustomEditForm.aspx form created using SharePoint Designer.

I want to associate the Custom Edit form directly with one and one view only for a given list so that when the user clicks the edit icon in that view, they are linked to the custom Edit Form.  But all other views including the All Items view behave as normal, i.e. using the normal EditForm.aspx.

I can replace the EditForm.aspx in the Url with my custom form and it works fine, but I can't seem to figure out how to connect the custom view edit link to the custom form.  It always takes me back to the default EditForm.aspx page.

I have investigated the href="{$URL_Edit}?ID={@ID}" onclick="GoToPage('{$URL_Edit}?ID={@ID}') in code, which appears to  be how the URL is generated but I'm not sure how or where best to set the value of URL_Edit parameter so that I point to the custom Edit Form.  This is somehow getting passed into the custom view, but I'm not sure how best to set it for a specific non-AllItems view.
