Anonymouse user - Cannot see search results in SharePoint 2010 internet facing site. They see blank results.aspx while admin see all search result.
How to make Anonymouse user - see search results in SharePoint 2010 internet facing site?
This code was working before, but something has changed and I don't know what. I have an anonymous registration page. On it, I have a CAPTCHA image, with a URL pointing to an ASPX page that is generating the image. On the Registration page
I am generating a 6 digit code to be displayed in the CAPTCHA image, then saving it to a Session variable. On the CAPTCHA ASPX page, I am grabbing that Session variable and creating the image. However, the Session is resetting when the CAPTCHA
ASPX page is called. If I debug it, it has a different ID and the variable is gone.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it? I have Sessions enabled in SharePoint 2007.
I have created a SharePoint Foundation Web Application with Windows based Authentication and I have Allowed

When i search the It does not allow search for Anonymous user to search. I really do not understand to fix this Problem .
I am new to SharePoint Foundation 2010.
We have two site collections in Production (using MOSS 2007):
Public URL for Zone
Public URL for Zone
We have two Content Sources:
1) It has address: http://server.domain.com
2) It has address: http://projectserver
Full crawl is performed every Friday evening.
But the crawl is working only for /sites/ but for /pwa/ it throws an error:
"The crawler could not co
I am in the process of implementing MOSS 2007 and we have 2 site collections.ÃÂ ÃÂ When we get to either site there are 2 search option This Site:ÃÂ and All Sites.ÃÂ ÃÂ All sites returns all the results but when search This Site I get no results.ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ We removed the People Scope because we aren't implementing mysites with the first release.ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ
Does anyone have any suggestions.ÃÂ ÃÂ I had Microsoft on the phone yesterday but they didn't seem to be able to help.ÃÂ ÃÂ
I have setup search services and Finally got it to work! HOWEVER it only works from the search center page. If I try to do a search from the with in a site page (ie the search bar in the top right corner) I get no results. If I go to the search center page
I get all the search results.
There appers to be a disconect between the two I need to resolve.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I created a new users by adding them to an AD group that is already in the site and has contribute access. The user has the ability to login, add content, and everything the goes with contributing, but cannot search for content on the site.
The other users have no issue and when they search for something; for instance the location of something in the document library "new york" they receive results; however this user doesn't. I also do not see the new user in the "All People"

Any help is appreciate, thanks,
I would like a user to be able to enter some criteria in a search box and then have them click on a search button to filter the data using a "contains" logic and not an exact match.
Anyone know if this is possible?
I have downloaded the DynamicFilterRepeater and that works well, but you end up with one search box per colulmn...I would like to have one search box that columns could subscribe to and that would be filtered automatically.
Not sure how to go about doing something like that...I'm still quite new to DD and I am still trying to get a grasp on the basic stuff.
I have Web application with NTLM and this webapplication extended to Internet zone with anonymous for public facing site.
Now i have developed WCF service to get data from sharepoint calendar list which will be consume by silverlight application.
This works fine on Intranet Zone with Windows authentication but on public facing site it Prompt for Credentials and if i cancel it doesnt get data.
Please advise how can i make it work for Internet facing site.
Search works properly for another user, who is also administrator. And I am trying to figure out this mystery: I was added to the SharePoint team site a week ago, so far 5
days I am an administrator. Crawler should update at least on a daily basis, as far as I understand. Unfortunately, I am not an enterprise administrator, so I need to list possible causes of an issue and forward them to her, if it is her responsibility. The
issue persists with all browsers and was experienced on different computers.
Any advice for further digging will be highly appreciated.
Is there a membership function to search a username Like this: LIKE '%UserName%' ?
This is not working.
MembershipUser User = Membership.GetUser("%" + TextBox1.Text + "%");Thank you.
Sorry for a basic post here; I am very new to VB!
I am currently building a search page, which includes a textbox and two drop-down lists, a search button, and a datagrid. If results are found and displayed, I would like a label to display:
(e.g.) "24 results found for 'blue sky clouds' "
...where the integer represents the results count, and the keywords and/or drop-down list selections are included in the string.
If no results are found I would like the label to display:
(e.g.) "No results were found that match your selection. Please try again"
I would also like the label to be invisible until a search occurs.
Thanks in advance!
