So I've found Stephen Howards presentation on how to send an email when a specific field changes and it is great:
The problem is that I would also like to initiate the workflow, resulting in an email notification, only when a Date field changes. Immediately I run into the issue that although it appears to be an empty field, the Condition 'Is Missing' is not available
for 'Date Fields'. It appears that SP is defaulting what appears to be the empty date field to a value of 12/31/1899? Sometimes that Date field is empty on initiation and somewhat through the process too.
Any ideas on how to create an email notification workflow in SPD 2010, or 2007, only when a List-Item's 'Date'-Field is changed? For reference it is Date only, not Date/Time.
