I dont know what i am missing here
in the permission level creating page i see this
Edit Items - Edit items in lists, edit documents in document libraries, and customize Web Part Pages in document libraries.
My understanding is above role will give users the capabilty to edit list and documents check out and check in etc..
but we dont want users to modify the web part that are stacked on a page. is there any way we can stop users from modifying the global view ?
but still we want them to have check in check out option on document.
i dont understand why this level is given because when we enable the edit items they are able to modify the the web parts even on a team sites home page. but the permission says you can only modify web part pages in document library.
Add and Customize Pages - Add, change, or delete HTML pages or Web Part Pages, and edit the Web site using a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible editor.
Is it a bug or i am missing something here?
