Team System: Custom check-in policies

Team Foundation Server provides APIs that let you create check-in notes (categorized string data) and custom check-in policy implementations. These features combine to give project administrators better control over the group development process.

"Enable this Form to be filled out by using a browser" check box is grayed out when publishing InfoP

When I try to publish InfoPath form to a SharePoint site collection, "Enable this Form to be filled out by using a browser" check box is grayed. Also, I see the following warning message: This form template is br owser-compatible, but it cannot be browser-enabled on the selected site. This may be cased by one of the following reasons: -The server is not running InfoPath Forms Services. - The necessary features are not available on the site collection. The policy setting on the server does not allow user to browser -enabled Form templates. I have tried the following: 1. Deactivated and reactivated " office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site collection features" 2. Deactivated and reactivated " office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site features" 3. "Form Templates" document library exists and visible. 4. I am able to check the box in other site collections without any problems. 5. Ran the following stsadm commands: STSADM.EXE -o deactivatefeature -filename IPFSAdminLinks\feature.xml -url http://siteCollection -force STSADM.EXE -o deactivatefeature -filename IPFSSiteFeatures\feature.xml -url http://siteCollection -force STSADM.EXE -o deactivatefeature -filename IPFSWebFeatures\feature.xml -url http://siteCollection -force STSADM.EXE -o activatefeature -filename IPFSAdminLinks\feature.xml -url http://siteCollection -force STSADM.EX

MessageSecurityException "Identity check failed for outgoing message" when using custom endpointaddr

Hi! I am currently developing a WCF service which will use ASP.NET Membership and RoleProvider as authentication/authorization. I followed the description in on this page http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff647294.aspx to do this, and everything works as expected when I try add a reference to my development service and uses that without any interaction. But, I want to be able to override the enpoint address in code since the server may be placed on other servers, but when I do this in my code (with the same enpointAddress stated in the client wcf file for testing purpose) I get a MessageSecurityException with this information: "Identity check failed for outgoing message. The expected DNS identity of the remote endpoint was 'localhost' but the remote endpoint provided DNS claim 'MyCert'. If this is a legitimate remote endpoint, you can fix the problem by explicitly specifying DNS identity 'MyCert' as the Identity property of EndpointAddress when creating channel proxy." I have search the net for information about this, and found that the only thing I had to do was to add a <dns value="MyCert" /> to my client wcf configuration, and everything should work. But it doesn't, I still get the same error. My server behavior configuration looks like this: <serviceCredentials> <serviceCertificate findValue="CN=MyCert" />

Cannot enable Ribbon Edit Tab buttons and "connect" them to a list item in my custom webpart

I have one list with some custom fields and I want to develop a custom page. So, I created an ASPX page and added my custom webpart. This webpart has just a RichTextField, in edit mode, "linked" to one item of the list, like below: SPSite _SPSite = SPContext.Current.Site; SPWeb _SPWebProjects = _SPSite.OpenWeb("/Projects"); SPList _SPListProject = _SPWebProjects.GetList("/Projects/Lists/Project"); int _ID = Convert.ToInt32(this.Page.Request.QueryString["ID"]); RichTextField _RTF = new RichTextField(); _RTF.ID = "RTF"; _RTF.ControlMode = SPControlMode.Edit; _RTF.FieldName = "History"; _RTF.ItemContext = SPContext.GetContext(HttpContext.Current, _ID, _SPListProject.ID, _SPListProject.ParentWeb); _RTF.RenderContext = SPContext.GetContext(HttpContext.Current, _ID, _SPListProject.ID, _SPListProject.ParentWeb); this.Controls.Add(_RTF);   Then, I "turned on" the edit tab on the ribbon by doing the follow: protected override void OnPreRender(EventArgs e) { SPRibbon _CurrentRibbon = SPRibbon.GetCurrent(this.Page); _CurrentRibbon.TrimById("Ribbon.WebPartPage"); _CurrentRibbon.MakeTabAvailable("Ribbon.ListForm.Edit", string.Empty); _CurrentRibbon.MakeContextualGroupInitiallyVisible("Ribbon.ListForm.Edit", string.Empty); _CurrentRibbon.Minimized = false; _CurrentRi

Query DB and update Check Box List on JS/jQuery Function

Hey guys.  I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in but I've come to a roadblock in my app and I'm not sure which way I should go.  Currently, I have a slider control and two text boxes used to set the Start and End times of a section of a video.  Let's say the video is of some Music Awards.  In my database, I've tagged the start and end time of each celebrities on-screen appearance.  When the user adjusts their start and end times on the page, I want to query the database table and pull back all celebrities within that range.  The problem is I don't know how to do this in JS.Can I use the Check Box List and bind the values to it?  Do I need to render a table of Check Boxes in JavaScript?  Do I call the Server-Side code via Ajax and then partially render the page?Any help, comments or suggestions would be great.

Check if custom culture exists

Hello, I created a custom culture using the 'Register' method on the CultureAndRegionInfoBuilder class. But if you execute this method when the culture has already been registered, then an exception will be thrown. So, is it possible to check if the culture is already registered on the machine? Check Box List Problem

I have a check box list, using a for loop to loop through the list items of the check box list. Content that is wrapped in a div statement, is being output at the click of the checkbox(not using javascript). The first two items of content show when the checkboxes are selected, but when I uncheck the first check box of the list, the content does not go away, and stays on the page. Here is the code-behind in vb:

Protected Sub cblProd1_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles cblProd1.SelectedIndexChanged
            divFacetsDB.Visible = (cblProd1.SelectedIndex = 1)
            divPrdReg1DB.Visible = (cblProd1.SelectedIndex = 2)

            For Each cb As ListItem In cblProd1.Items
                If cb.Selected = True Then
                    If cb.Value = "1" Then
                        divFacetsDB.Visible = True
                    ElseIf cb.Value = "2" Then
                        divPrdReg1DB.Visible = True
                    End If
                End If

        Catch ex As Exception
        End Try

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Am I missing something simple?

Check Box List Item in ASP and JS onClick item

I have a js function to show/hide content placed in a div. I want it to show/hide when a list item is selected in a check box list, but just can't seem to get it to work. Here is my code:

    <script type="text/javascript">
        function showHide(obj)
                var element = document.getElementById(obj);
                if (element.style.display != 'none')
                        element.style.display = 'none';
                        element.style.display = '';

 <asp:CheckBoxList runat="server" ID="cblProd1" RepeatColumns="1" OnSelectedIndexChanged="cbl1_SelectedIndexChanged" AutoPostBack="True">
                            <asp:ListItem onClick="Javascript:showHide('divText1');">Text</asp:ListItem>
                            <asp:ListItem >Text1</asp:ListItem>
                            <asp:ListItem >Text2</asp:ListItem>
                            <asp:ListItem >Text3</asp:ListItem>
                            <asp:ListItem >Text4&l

Remove Check in/Check out functionality altogether

Ideally, I would like for users viewing items in document libraries to not have the option to check out a document. I have done some research, and I am aware of how to hide/disable the corresponding buttons in the ribbon. However, the option to check out still exists in the contextual drop-down menu when a document is selected.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Edit: Here is a link to how I am removing the ribbon buttons, I will continue with this and then go from there.

Update: I was able to remove the buttons from the ribbon successfully, But when I open the drop-down menu for a document I still have the option to check-out. Any way of removing this?

Using custom code on report services to check if directory does exist or not (need help)

I am trying to check if a directory does exist.  I have used the vb.net to create a very small function and embedded into the "Custom code:" section of Report Properties.  It’s output is a return of Y or N (string) or 1 or 0 (Integer) if directory exist or not.

Here is the code which returns a String

    Function ifDirExist(ByVal mypath As String) As String

        Dim flag As String

        If Not System.IO.Directory.Exists(mypath) Then

            flag = "N"

Copy List Item in SPD 2010 Workflow Fails if Check Out/Check In Required

I've seen this issue on 3 different Sharepoint 2010 implementations, including upgrades and fresh installations...

The workflow, which works fine in WSS 3.0/MOSS, operates on change of a document.  Workflow reviews a specific column and based on contents of that column, it checks out the document, copies the current item from the current library to another library in the same site and then deletes the item in the current library.

In SharePoint 2010, the following occurs.  Again, this occurs in the upgraded workflow as well as in a brand new workflow created with SPD 2010 on a site that blank / not upgraded.

  • Workflow starts on an item that is verified to not already be checked out.
  • Document is checked out
  • Document IS copied to the other library
  • Workflow fails and is canceled with the following errors:
    The workflow could not copy the item. Make sure the source and destination lists have the same columns and column settings.  (They do.)
    The workflow operation failed because the action requires the document to be checked out. (The item is checked out by workflow - as is evidenced by the fact that the item is still checked out after workflow fails.)
  • RESULT:  the copy operation does work, workflow thinks it doesn't and fails on that step, item is not deleted

I've tes

How to check who is the person that change the list permission or the list item permission?

Does SharePoint out of the box has any reports that report the change of permission to list/list item?

User A change the permission of List Item A by adding a new user
User B change the permission of List Item A by removing a user

Thank in advance.

How To Enable Custom List To Receive E-Mail?

Under https://www.surfgroepen.nl/_layouts/help.aspx?lcid=1033&cid0=MS.OSS.manifest&tid=MS.OSS.HA10099248 I found: "Other lists can be enabled by your administrator with a custom solution such as an e-mail handler."

I have no clue how to do this. Is there any useful information.
