Posted By:      Posted Date: October 27, 2010    Points: 0   Category :.NET Framework

Hello friends,

I am trying to retrieve AppDoma information of .NET 4.0 Applications.

I am using ICLRAAppDomainResourceMonitor Interface.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd627196.aspx

Following is the part of code.

ICorPublish *pub;
hr = CoCreateInstance(__uuidof(CorpubPublish), 0, CLSCTX_INPROC_SERVER, __uuidof(pub), (LPVOID *)&pub);
ICorPublishProcess  *pProcess = NULL;

pProcess->GetProcessID (&pid);

hr = pProcess->EnumAppDomains(&pEnum);

if (SUCCEEDED(hr))
{
	ICorPublishAppDomain* appDomains[1];
	ICLRAppDomainResourceMonitor *appDomainsResMon = NULL;
	ULONG aFetched = 1;

	<em><span style="text-decoration:underline">hr = pub->QueryInterface( IID_IUnknown, (void**)&appDomainsResMon);</span></em>

	while ((hr = pEnum->Next(1,appDomains, &aFetched)) == S_OK && aFetched > 0)
	{ // Get information about each domain.
		ULONG32 id = 0;
		DWORD Lid = 0;
		ULONGLONG milliSec = 0;

		appDomains[0]->GetID(&id);

When running your tests how do you know which parts of your product code are actually executed and tested? This article presents a complete system called Fundamental Function code coverage that operates at the method level. The author gives an overview of the system so you can understand code coverage principles, explains the key parts of the underlying code, and discusses how code coverage fits into the overall product development cycle. After reading this article you will be able to perform code coverage analysis on any .NET software system.

C# and the Web: Writing a Web Client Application with Managed Code in the Microsoft .NET Framework

When the author wanted to build a middleware Web client to connect to other applications over the Internet, he realized that the XMLHttpRequest COM object was not sufficient for his purposes. In order to build a Web client using managed code, the author had to use the HTTPWebRequest and HTTPWebResponse classes provided by the Microsoft .NET framework. These classes are used in the sample project as a substitute for the less powerful XMLHttpRequest COM object, allowing the author to build a full-featured Web client. They also take advantage of all the benefits that the CLR and managed code have to offer.

Show WPF Window from any application via Com-Interop (OLE) Interface

Hi,

I have a C# dll library which contains several utilities and WPF Windows.
I need to use these from an unmanaged application (actually written in Delphi 2009).
To do so I added an Ole interface to my dll.
In my initial call I start a thread and create an Application object in it whith its own Dispatcher.
Every time I need to show a WPF Window I do this by Invoking an the Applications thread.
This works so far, but seems to have a bit overhead when I try to open a WPF window for example.
Here is some of my code below:

  [Guid("B7433689-5159-4d46-B9BC-1B878D658691")]
  [ComVisible(true)]
  public interface IOleBridge
  {
   [DispId(0)]
   bool Startup();

   [DispId(1)]
   void ShowWindow();
  }

  [Guid("454C1B99-4275-46c4-A46D-89C7AF5D627C")]
  [ComVisible(true)]
  [ClassInterface(ClassInterfaceType.None)]
  [ComDefaultInterface(typeof(IOleBridge))]
  // [ComSourceInterfaces(typeof(IOleBridgeEvents))]
