Access WSE 3.0 web service through SOAPUI tool.

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 27, 2010    Points: 0   Category :.NET Framework

Hi All,

I am receiving below error message  when calling the WSE 3.0 enabled web service through SOAPUI :

Header http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing:Action for ultimate recipient is required but not present in the message.

Whereas, my web application perfectly works well with bellow code and referenced policy file.

WebServicewse proxy = new WebServicewse ();

In SOAPUI, I have taken below step:

* In SOAPUI request, added WSS username token. (username, password and have set WSS password type = PasswordText)

When I try to run it, I receive below error:

Header http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing:Action for ultimate recipient is required but not present in the message.

Hey Dipsky, you have mention in you post below that you were able to execute web service client using SOAPUI successfully.  Please let me know the steps to do that.

A little background because I feel I have an out of the ordinary architecture in place and don't know if this is contributing to the problem.

We have an existing ASP.net application that is undergoing expansion.  The new functionality is all written in Silverlight 4.  As part of that expansion I gutted all the old Linq to SQL and put Entity Framework 4 into place.  To do this I created a standard .net Class Library and added my edmx files there.  Naturally, the business entities created by this cannot be used in Silverlight.  So I created a Silverlight Class Library and added all the business entities to that Silverlight Class Library as linked files.  I changed the name space to be the same.

So I have the following assembly / namespaces

Company.Project.Dal.csproj / Company.Project.Entities (.net 4 class library)

Company.Project.Entities.csproj / Company.Project.Entities (SL4 class library)

With this architecture I was able to share my business entities with my SL enabled web services, my asp.net projects, my silverlight projects.  Really it's a beautiful thing.

Once this was done I added "message" classes to Company.Project.Dal and again shared them with the other entites using linked files.  These messages are things like MyObjectRequest; they are class

WPAsign application service unable to succesfuly pass the BVT tool

Hello, I'm getting a bunch these messages every two hours in my Windows 2003 application log. The server in question does not have outbound internet access where by the server is configured as a web server for the WPAsign application. Message: Failed auto update retrieval of third-party root list sequence number from: <http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootseq.txt> with error: The specified server cannot perform the requested operation. and when I run the BVT tool form the comand window I am getting unknown error and the output has some partial files but not the whole list expected at succesful sign. What does this mean? How can I manually update this? Any help or insight would be appreciated.

With Anonymous access disabled, is there any way to use an AJAX-enabled WCF Service?

I have a website where anonymous access is disabled but I want to user an ajax-enabled WCF service. Configuring the service's binding security to use "TransportCredentialOnly" with clientCredentialType="Windows" seems like the obvious thing to do; indeed, many posts in various places suggest this approach. Unfortunately, however, it doesn't work. I always get the error "Security settings for this service require 'Anonymous' Authentication but it is not enabled for the IIS application that hosts this service." How can I configure the service to function correctly. I'm running IIS 7.5 with .Net framework 4.0. Thanks.

Access denied to Search Service Application

I just "upgraded" my installation of SharePoint 2010 Foundation with Search Server Express 2010.  During the installation, I was able to access and configure the Search Service Application. However, a day later, I cannot access the application management page: I get an access denied error.  I am the farm administrator, so supposedly I am supposed to have access to the management page.  I've also tried adding my login to the "Full Control" group of the Search Application; it gives me the same error.  It appears that the only account that can access the administration page is the service/system account.  Obviously this would not be ideal. I've tried looking around for logs to see if anything is amiss, but there appears to be nothing logged. What gives?  How do I fix it?

WCF Service Unable to Access Personal Certificate Store Unless Service Account is Logged In

I created a WCF service that has a method which makes a call to a SOAP web service over the internet. In order to make a call to the SOAP web service, it requires that an X.509 certificate be sent with the HttpWebRequest. The X.509 certificates are loaded in the Personal and Trusted Certificate store of the account which the service is running under. When the service account is logged into the server, everything works just fine. However, when the service account is not physically logged onto the server, it has problems loading up the X.509 certificate and fails authentication when trying to make the HttpWebRequest. I am new to WCF services so I don't even know where to start looking. Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance.

Search Server Express 2010 - Access Denied when attempting to manage Search Service Application or P

I first noticed this error with the Search Service Application when I was no longer able to use the search portal, but have since noticed the issue with the PowerPoint Service Application.  When I navigate in Central Administration to either the "Farm Search Administration" or the "Manage service applications" pages and attempt to manage the "Search Service Application", I get this error: Error: Access Denied  Current User You are currently signed in as:  WHEELERS\MyUserName   Sign in as a different user    I have tried removing the service application and re-adding it, changing the application pool to running under an existing application pool as the farm administrator, as another application pool with the same identity as the primary web application, and as another application pool running under the SP-SearchService identity. The big recent change with SharePoint, aside from fixing the previous issue where I was incorrectly using CNAMEs with Kerberos, was to switch the main web application to claims authentication. That site correctly works with claims based authentication and Kerberos.

Access from Reporting Service database in Sqlserver2005 to Sqlserver2008 R2 database

We are going to upgrade our databases from SQLServer 2005 to SQLServer 2008 R2. Today the databases including Reporting Services are running in SQLServer 2005 9.0.4211 and in a cluster environment. We are planning not to upgrade the Reporting Service database to Sqlserver 2008 R2. The Sqlserver2005 and Sqlserver2008 R2 will be run side-by-side.   My question is: Is it possible to access a database running in Sqlserver 2008 R2 from a Reporting service database that is running in Sqlserver 2005 (9.0.4211)?

problems with Consuming WCF service in SoapUI

Hi,   Rather new to WCF!! I have created a simple WCF web service in a Console application and successfully tested consuming it in a .Net Console application client. i have used the default binding behaviour stuff in my host as below: Uri baseAddress = new Uri("http://localhost:8000/ServiceModelSamples/Service"); ServiceHost selfHost = new ServiceHost(typeof(CalculatorService), baseAddress); try { selfHost.AddServiceEndpoint( typeof(ICalculator), //the contract new WSHttpBinding(), //the binding "CalculatorService"); //the endpoint address ServiceMetadataBehavior smb = new ServiceMetadataBehavior(); smb.HttpGetEnabled = true; selfHost.Description.Behaviors.Add(smb); selfHost.Open(); Console.WriteLine("The service is ready at {0}.", baseAddress); Console.WriteLine("Press <ENTER> to terminate service."); Console.WriteLine(); Console.ReadLine(); // Close the ServiceHostBase to shutdown the service. selfHost.Close(); } catch (CommunicationException ce) { Console.WriteLine("An exception occurred: {0}", ce.Message); selfHost.Abort(); } my problem is that I would like to consume this service in SoapUI. Web Service Unable to access Directory (Temporary ASP.NET Files) CS0016

QuestionMoving web service to a production level server. This is not a new server, but is new to running an ASP.NET 2.0 web service. No other websites or services existed on this server.

Installed .Net 2 and specified that ASP is registered for 2.0 using aspnet_regiis. Installed missing components such as Front page extensions. When I try to browse to the services asmx page I get the error saying that the process has a compilation error and cannot access the asp.net temp directory under the 2.0 Framework. I looked at the directory and it appears that the asp.net process and others have correct access.

Note a basic asp.net page will come up as well as a basic html page.

All comments are welcome.
