I'm a novice to SSRS 2008R2 and have SSRS 2008R2 reports which got upgraded from SSRS 2005. I need to load those reports from a web application. The reports use custom data processing extensions. Reports run fine from Visual Studio 2008 IDE. I'm running
a Windows Server 2008R2 machine.
In order to load configuration information specific to the web application, underlying framework used as a data access layer utilizes AppDomain.CurrentDomain.FriendlyName to decide the name of the web application. The frame work is a separate assembly referenced
in my web application project.
Previously, while using SSRS 2005, since IIS was used to host the report server virtual directories, the web application name was easily determined from the current application domain. With SSRS 2008R2, the virtual directories are hosted by the report server
itself by making use of http.sys ( not quite sure how this works exactly yet). The friendly name I get from the app domain is not what I expect, i.e., my web application name. Instead, I get something like this: ReportServer_MSSQLSERVER2K8R2_0
Any suggestion how to resolve this issue?
