I believe this goes on this forum since it's more of a WCF question. I have created a service that passes in a scope (string) and a filterToken (string) and is suppose to return a custom object. The class in question Inherits from Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.DbSyncProvider.

I pulled a WCF trace and it's returning the following error:

Type 'MyProvider' cannot inherit from a type that is not marked with DataContractAttribute or SerializableAttribute.  Consider marking the base type 'Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.DbSyncProvider' with DataContractAttribute or SerializableAttribute, or removing them from the derived type.

I've seen plenty of examples where somebody has inherited from their own class but I am inheriting from DbSyncProvider so I don't think I can change any properties on it.

Here is my Interface:

Imports Microsoft.Synchronization
Imports Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.SqlServerCe
Imports Microsoft.Synchronization.Data
Imports Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.SqlServer
Imports System.Data.SqlClient
Imports System.IO
Imports System.Xm
