i'm new in reporting so thanks to be patient with me,

i'm working with local data stored in List<object>, i tried to fill my dataset (data) with those local data stored in the list, i filed
looking for yor help
Suddenly sharepoint designer decided today that it doesn't want to insert a custom list form anymore...
To be more specific, it doesn't work anymore in a site that uses the Microsoft budgeting and tracking template. In a website that uses an out of the box template, it still works.
It did work before, because I did it in other websites using the same template (it's broken there as well now).
Why oh why does SharePoint refuse to do this now?
I searched google and here on the forums, but all I could find was some issues after installing SP1, but we did that already long time ago and it was still working after that. I checked with our infrastructure guys and they didn't install new updates they
I also tried the solutions listed here:
But they don't fix the problem.
So my problem is, I can go to Insert > SharePoint Controls > Custom List Form
I pick my list, content type and form type, I hit OK and... nothing happens.
I have 2 tables in SqlServer 2008.
Table1: T1id, SomeData
Table2: T2id, T1id, SomeData
I am using DataAdapter.FillSchema to create shema of tables in DataSet. I created DataRelation on columns T1id in both tables.
Now when i try to Update Sql Database T1id in Table2 remains 0 and not the value of T1id in Table1.
I can successfully update Sql Database if i fill DataSet with records first (Using DataAdapter.Fill), but that's not what i want to do. I don't need "old" records in my dataset. I want to use dataset just to store all imputs from user until the proccess is done and then insert all those records "at the same time".
I think i'm getting it wrong with ForeignKeyConstraints, maybe UpdateRule is not set to cascade, i just don't know.
I have been trying to work this out for 6 days now and i'm about to break something on half.
Can someone please guide me to right direction, maybe post some sample, anything.... please!
My old post regarding this:
How to update Sql Server related tables from Dataset(SchemaFill)
SqlDataAdapter.Update related tables
When Lookup Column of a List does not contain a value in the DropDown menu can it be added/inserted into the source Lookup List from the NewForm without leaving the NewForm?
Is there code or example how to insert the Item in the source List, then refresh/repopulate the Lookup Column's DropDown menu (in the NewForm)?
please give me sample code for insert data to MS ACCESS from grid view using dataset
1. We have requirement where users can build there own SSRS Reports and integrate it with the existing system dynamically.
2. We have an Existing Application (Called
APP1), our approach is user will build the report as per there requirement and from APP1 we have report configuration screen when user will select the report file to import to our system.
3. While doing importing, we have special requirement like
3.1 Retrieve the all fields from the Report DataSource and display to the user
3.2 User configures that what values they want to filter when the report is shown from the application. ex: employee information is
displayed in the report, DataSet query is "select empid,empname,..... * from employee"
3.3 from APP1 when user gives the report we have to dynamically load the report and get the fields from the dataset, so user can configure like this, when the report
is shown report must ask for parameter value for empid .
I m using WSS3.0 and one of my requirements is to insert data into SQL from Sharepoint list (automated process) .
Can I use webservice / workflow / other tools.
Need suggestions or way to do this and if its possible.
I have put a Content Editor WebPart on a page and I'm trying to insert a picture from the Rich text editor, but whenever I try this I get this error:
List does not exist.
The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user.
This also happens when inserting links. When I use Fiddler I can see that the error occurs somewhere in AssetPortalBrowser.aspx and It's likely that the last location used to insert pictures and links no longer exist. So the question is how do I reset the
location to point to a list on the current site, or any other list for that matter? I tried deleting and adding the WebPart on the page without any luck. Typing in a valid link in the link text box or setting the attribute "DefaultToLastUsedLocation" to "false"
in the call to AssetPortalBrowser.aspx did not work either. I read the solution at
http://mossipqueen.wordpress.com/2008/08/08/assetportalbrowser-error-list-does-not-exist/ (de- and re-activate Office SharePoint Server Publishing feature) but the feature is not activated on my web. Does anyone have a tip on what to do? This happens
on a live SharePoint environment so there may be some restrictions as to what I can
I have a dripdownlist
<asp:DropDownList ID="DropDownList1" runat="server" DataSourceID="NameSource" DataTextField="Choice" DataValueField="Appliers" AutoPostBack="True"> </asp:DropDownList>
I want to insert into database with the following code. I want the Appliers instead of Choice to be inserted. Now this code insert the Choice field only. How should I modify this code ? Thanks
e.Command.Parameters("Name").Value = DropDownList1.SelectedValue
I tried SelectedItem it becomes error too... help...
