How can I dynamically hide/show the stock edit or display form of a list item?

I am working with a custom edit form in SharePoint designer and I notice that when the form is displayed it shows the form field title
in the column on the left and also in a tab directly above each field in the column on the right. My question is how do I remove those tabs? IOW I just want to show the form field title on the left and the form field on the right; I don't want those
grey tabs above the form field.
How to show column value in display mode and hide in edit mode for my custom page layout?
I need similar functionality like PublishingWebControls:EditModePanel with
I cannot use nor server-side code neither third-party web-parts. Only pure APSX+SP Contol Libraries and client JS allowed.
We have 100s of Infopath 2003 forms published on our Sharepoint site (MOSS 2007). These forms are updated constantly. The problem we have is that anytime we change the form's design (ex. change wording on the form), the user will get the
"Form Template Conflict" message when they click on the form. This is very confusing to them, and although we've asked them to click on "Replace form", they still get confused.
This message is very confusing to anyone, not just a user. We would like to suppress this message so that every single time we update a form, they don't have to see this. I'm not sure why it even saves a copy locally on their machines, anyway. The
fact is that in 100% of all cases, they will need to replace the form on their computer. Renaming the forms every time we edit them is not an option - there are too many and links would all be broken.
Can anyone tell us how to "hide" or "suppress" this error for our users? Or design a form on the back-end that won't show this? Could possibly changing security settings prevent this? Any suggestions would be appreciated on how to prevent
this message from popping every time we update a form.
1) I have a ORDER form which is a usercontrol(webpart in sharepoint)
the first field is a autogenerated column given as ORD01,ORD02,ORD03...
for this i have a column in the list which stores these values into list after user submits data.
Now i want to show last inserted ORDER + 1 in the first field .
i.e., when user opens this ORDER page it should show the value.
2) the second case would when user submits data simultanoeusly.
Can anyone suggest a solution for this
I have a document library that contains a Category column that is a lookup field. This is a default column that is a required field when uploading documents to the document library. The Category column is empty and I am unable to amend, hide, make it not
required or delete it.
I have gone to Modify settings and columns -> clicked on the Category field to edit, but there is no option to amend the content or delete it. I am only able to amend the Column name and Description.
Since then, I have amended the column name to eg. Category1 and created a new Category field as a lookup and linked it to the correct list.
The problem I am facing now, is that I cannot hide, delete or make the Category1 (old Category) field NOT required. Either I would like to update the original field to display the correct values or alternately hide, delete or make the column not required.
I have 1 dropdown in my sharepoint list with other columns. If dropdown value equal to 'xyz' i need to display some other controls, otherwise these controls should be hidden.
I have a user who is unable to view the edit drop-down menu next to documents in a document library.
The user was able to view the drop-down before, but it seems since upgrading to either Office 2007 or IE7 that the problem is occuring. The user is an administrator on the site so it doesn't seem to be permissions issue.
I have had the user run an Office Diagnostics but this did not resolve the problem.
Any ideas please?
I am designing a data form - adding some formatting etc. I am able to see the webpart correctly in SPD split view, but when I trying to preview it, it gives me the following error
I have a web page that contains an UpdatePanel. In that panel, there is a TabContainer control that has 5 TabPanels, only the first one "Tab 1" will be displayed during initial page load. There is an Add button in "Tab 1", whenever it gets clicked, I will add (show) the next TabPanel (Tab 2, Tab 3, etc., all the way to Tab 5). "Tab 2" thru "Tab 5" contains a Close button that will close (hide) the current tab when clicked.
I'm doing all of these from code behind (dynamically create controls in Page_Init event and re-generate them during postback, track each TabPanel's content in a session variable, etc.), and everything seems to work just fine IF after adding several TabPanels, I remove them in order (i.e. remove Tab 5 first, then Tab 4, Tab 3, etc.). It will NOT work whenever I try to remove a tab in the middle, then I will get all kinds of strange results.
I've attached the sample codes here for reviewing and testing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had created one application and this is multi client application means code is same but setup is different for each client with diff. client Code in app config file, diff product code, upgrade code, setup name, display name.
So i am looking for a way to edit my MSI file dynamically and made changes into that for each client using code or any other way dynamically.
Do any one has idea how to do this Dynamically/Anyother.
Thanks in advance.
