I have the outlook social connector connected to my mysite host in sharepoint 2010, it is pulling activity feeds just fine but not the photo's.
When I was running SharePoint 2010 Beta and Office 2010 Beta, this worked fine, but since I have installed RTM for both, the photo's do not show.
I have not done a 2 way sync with Active Directory to send the photo's to AD, as I did not do this at beta, but as I already mentioned - i could see the photos in the beta environment.

Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Office 2003 supported only Microsoft Word and Excel. The new version, however, has the tools you need to create managed code add-ins for Outlook 2003.

Using Microsoft technologies, you can insert, edit, query, and delete database entries using any e-mail client such as Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or even WAP phone. While e-mail is certainly a powerful and widely used tool, it is usually not integrated with an application for performing any tasks other than sending reminders. The application scenario described here, an e-mail-based SQL update program, uses a simple data model; however, this solution will apply to any data model that you are working with. It will also eliminate the need for complex n-tier Internet applications and serves as a low maintenance solution for providing data access.

Digital dashboards gather information and functionalities from a wide variety of sources ranging from Web pages to applications such as Microsoft Outlook and SQL Server, and present the resulting information in a single user interface. Digital dashboards built with the Digital Dashboard Resource Kit (DDRK) are made up of distinct units called Web Parts. Web Parts, introduced with the DDRK 2.01, can contain any Web-based information, are reusable, and integrate with each other and with other dashboards. Creating Web Parts and getting them to work together is illustrated via a sample application that uses a PivotTable view. Integrating Web Parts with Outlook, the Outlook View control, storage, and debugging are also covered.

I'm using and administrating sharepoint in the education environment and have a question regarding Mysite.
I have created a central portal for the office I work in for internal use, and within that have created department sites from that. For the sake of it it's hosted at sharepoint.local.office, with MySite being hosted at mysite.local.office.
As other districts join the domain forest I've asked if they would like to have their own sharepoint site. In saying yes I then create sharepoint.districtx.whatever, but have disabled MySite creation for them.
Each district is tied to their onw Shared Services for the purpose of searching and such.
Ultimately I would like to permit each district to have their own MySite domain, but I have glanced through various things and keep seeing this thing that if MySite is deployed a certain way users will get a disconnected experience with sharepoint and other
users. I'm just not unserstanding what is meant by the "disconnected experience" any ideas on that?
In addition, I would like each shared service to have their own mysite, if that's possible under their own URL. I'm sure it is, but maybe I'm just missing some central piece that gives me that Aha moment of understanding.
How are other folks using mysites under such an environment?
Does each distri
I'm using Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 64bit.
My company uses a hosted Sharepoint server (I guess it's Sharepoint 2010). There's a team calendar, which I would like to connect to my Outlook 2010. Linking it to Outlook works fine until it tries to update the calendar with the Sharepoint server. I shows
the following error:
Error (0x80070005) when running the task "SharePoint": "You are not authorized to view the SharePoint list (team calendar). Contact the administrator of SharePoint site. HTTP 401."
So this tells me, I'm not authorized to connect - which is quite clear because Outlook never asked my for any username or password.
Funny thing is when I try to add an internet calendar (Right mouse click on calendars, Add calendar, Internet calendar) and use the url of the sharepoint list, it asks me for username and password, but then fails to add the calendar, as it isn't a webcal
(which is OK).
BUT: As Outlook at this moment has the username and password, the exisiting Sharepoint calendar synchronizes correctly. This works until Outlook is being restarted.
Does anyone have an idea why I'm not asked for any authentication? Maybe there's some setting I haven't found yet? It works with trying to add the webcal any time when I start Outlook, but t
I looked the other topic and it doesn't answer my problem.
When I receive an email with hyper-links in them they seldom connect and only if the full link is available can I copy & paste it into my browser. Soemtimes there is just a comment with the link behind it and it's impossible to pick up the full link
details. A box appears saying that Outlook is blocking this action and I should refer to my administrator.
I am the administrator and have too little knolwedge to know what I would need to do do to create the bock so please help to sort out this annoying and time consuming issue.
I have a requirement to create a Outlook Task , from a custom webpart through code .

We are accessing our sharepoint services 3.0 document library through outlook 2007.
We can open the files in word/excel etc, but when we go to check-in the document the application tells us that we only have read access to the document, and cant check the document back in to the server.
It works fine via the browser, the read only problem is only when checking out through outlook.
I have given all users full access and design access to the doc library.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
