When we use the rating scacle fied to create question in survey. You can only set three range texts for each question. Is there any way to locate a range text for each range ? Such as below :

                                 low             normal          high       important        very important

                                 1                  2                  3               4                     5

When adding new calendar item the title field is missing - MOSS 2007

Hello,

A staff member just noticed that when adding a new item to a vacation calendar we have set-up - the Title column is missing.  They will finish creating the new calendar item and then when they go to edit it the Title column appears and they can fill it in.

Can figure out what caused this or how to fix - any ideas?

When I create a new test calendar the title column is displayed properly when creating new item - so not sure what happened with this calendar.

Hope someone has come across this before.

Thanks so much!
Tammy

Display name not updated in MOSS 2007 after updated in AD - tp_Title field not updated

Hello,

After changing an account's Display Name in AD, the change is not reflected in MOSS.  In MOSS, in the top right hand corner, it still says Welcome OldDisplayName instead of Welcome NewDisplayName.

I've found that this data is located in the UserInfo table of the site's content database in the tp_Title field and I've changed the info in that location to test and it worked.

I'm wondering if there's a way to change this information without actually going into the database and modifying it manually as this is not supported by Microsoft.

Thank you for any assistance.

Content Types in MOSS 2007

In this article I will try to describe the one of the best feature in Microsoft office Share Point 2007 called Content Types.

Content types are simply collection of contents.Each content in a Content type can have different settings.Basically it is a reusable collection of settings which you want to apply to a particular category of contents.

FormView Text Field Being Set by A Drop Down List

Hello, I have a FormView which is used to insert a record into a database.  Outside of this formview i have a drop down list, I want to grab the value from that drop down list and set one of the text fields within the formview to it's currently selected value.  I've tried the following code, but the dynamic categorytextbox line is what seems to not be working.

                    <asp:DropDownList ID="ddlCategory" runat="server" AutoPostBack="True"
DataSourceID="SqlDataSourceCategory" DataTextField="CategoryName"
DataValueField="CategoryID" Width="200px">
</asp:DropDownList>

                            <asp:TextBox ID="CategoryIDTextBox" runat="server"
Text='<%# Bind("CategoryID") %>' Visible="False" />

        protected void FormView1_DataBound(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
dynamic varCategory = ddlCategory.SelectedValue;
dynamic categoryTextBox = FormView1.FindControl("CategoryIDText

MOSS 2007 and MySite in Outlook

Looking to get the My Site feature working in Outlook 2007 when you right click someone's name in an email. I've followed this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968115) and I can add/remove various fields but when it comes to the My Site feature it nevers show a link to the users Sharepoint My Site. It's strange because the URL for people's My Site is in AD. It's not like I even get a error message where the My Site option should be - the field never displays...help!

Unable to open pdf from document library MOSS 2007

When I click on a pdf document uploaded in a document library it comes up with a blank page.

I guess it's trying to open pdf on the browser. I turned off "Display PDF in browser " option in Adobe Preferences, but it doesn't help, same issue.

I tried other browsers too, it's the same issue.

I am able to open all other pdf files local to my machine fine.

I am using IE 8 on my machine (Windows 7) and the Sharepoint server is MOSS 2007.
