ASP.Net and C#

Hi Guys,

My issue is that I am pulled three tables together using the Query Builder and I only want to show data where a specific date is greater than todays date. Here is what i have so far:

SELECT        salesitems.sona, salesitems.sonitem, ZOverdueOrders.ZOOType, ZOverdueOrders.ZOOReason, salesitems.sduedate, salesitems.soitemstate
FROM            salesorders INNER JOIN
                         salesitems ON salesorders.son = salesitems.sona LEFT OUTER JOIN
                         ZOverdueOrders ON salesitems.sona = ZOverdueOrders.ZOOSON AND salesitems.sonitem = ZOverdueOrders.ZOOSONI
WHERE        (salesitems.sduedate > CONVERT(DATETIME, '2010-09-01 00:00:00', 102))
ORDER BY salesitems.sona, salesitems.sonitem

Where it says '2010-09-01 00:00:00' I want that to be the todays date.

Is this possible? Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

Seperate DateTime into Date column and Time column in query

This is probably a simple question but here it goes.

First off let me state that the naming of these columns is not by my choice nor can I change them.  We purchased some software that automatically does the naming conventions for it's fields (Sample1).

I have a table with 2 columns in it:

Sample1                      Time is in GMT Time

Time           DateTime, PK

LMP             Float

Table 2:

ABC_Price                   (Day, Hour) is in EST Time

Day               SmallDateTime   PK

Hour              TinyInt       PK

MW                Decimal(7,3)

Price              Money

What I need to do is split the Ti

Linq to XML query doesn't show data with null values...need it to!

I've got a web service that returns xml from a linq query.

If i have fields 'name' and 'title' my linq query will return results that have data in both 'name and 'title' fields.

How can I get linq to return a query when both fields are populated, and when only the name field contains data?

Here's what I've got:

        public XmlDocument GetUsersByDate()
            StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
            XmlWriter writer = XmlWriter.Create(sb);

            var SelectedUsers = (from u in db.Users
                                 select "<UserName>" + u.UserName + "</UserName><x>" + u.Title + "<x>").ToList();

Query for Values based on Max Date

I need to find distinct Courses a Student has taken but the ones with Max date. Suppose we have the following data:

How to format datetime & date with century?

Execute the following Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL datetime, date and time formatting scripts in Management Studio Query Editor to demonstrate the usage of the multitude of temporal data formats available and the application of date / datetime functions.

ReadOnly DateTime attribute stores correct date but only retrieves DateTime.MinValue on Delete

Hey everyone,

I have a dynamic data site that stores Event data using LINQ-to-SQL. When someone requests an event, it is first stored as a PendingEvent (which is a child of Event) with a column/attribute called receivedAt, which is [ReadOnly(true)] and which is assigned in InsertEvent as shown.

        partial void InsertEvent(Event instance)
            instance.requestedAt = DateTime.Now;

This works fine. The event displays with the correct receivedAt date, and it's correct in my database. It shows up just fine on my Display, Edit, and List pages. However, if I try to delete, the receivedAt in the instance (retrieved with my debugger) in my delete function is 01/01/0001 12:00am, also known as DateTime.MinValue. My other dates appear correct.

If I remove "ReadOnly(true)" from the received at, everything works fine. Why won't "ReadOnly" allow me to have a time?
Thanks in advance,

I forgot to mention why I care. I can't submit the instance to be deleted because DateTime.MinValue is outside SQL's available datetime, so I get a SQL error. The delete also takes place in a custom dele

DateTime custom managed property search fails with " Your query is malformed. Please rephrase your q

I've created a front end search page in Silverlight 4 for SharePoint Search.  Currently we are using WSS 3.0 + Search Server Express 2008 (v  The page interacts with the MOSS version of the search web service at:   <site collection>/_vti_bin/search.asmx The reason for this approach is the unique way the requirements specify the look and behavior of the results.  The built-in Search Center page or web parts will not satisfy these requirements. We are going into production but I still cannot figure out how to search against my custom managed properties that are of Type DateTime.  If I cannot get this to work, it is a showstopper. I've tried numerous variations on the SQL Syntax and cannot get it to work.  I know the error is in the date portion of the WHERE clause since I can remove it and searches work fine. Here is a working query: SELECT Size, Rank, Path, Title, Description, Write, RequestSubmittedDate, DocumentType, RequestPromisedDate, ProblemDescription, DatePublished, RequestOwner, RequestingDepartment, DocumentAuthor, ProjectNumber, ProjectDescription, RequestStatus FROM scope() WHERE CONTAINS ('"nmr"') ORDER BY "Rank" DESC yet if I try to use a date literal in the WHERE clause as in the following query modification, I get the "malformed"

Application to Constantly query Table Values and Refresh with most recent value

Hello, I must apologize in advance because I am not sure if this is the correct place for this question. I am looking for ideas on how to build an application that in the most basic sense contains a field with the most current data from a table in a SQL Server database (this would be based off of a datetime timestamp in the table). I am new to this kind of problem and am unsure where to start looking for solution ideas. The table value updates variably and could possibly update every second to every hour. I would like to design an application that would be lightweight to both the server and the user's machine. This would take the place of an unneeded report on my Reporting Services server. Any and all suggestions would be welcome because I am not sure of options I even have on this. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration, Matt

Is it possible to use multiple date fields to have an event show more than once on a Sharepoint 2007

Hello, Is it possible to use multiple sets of start and end times to have events display multiple times in a sharepoint calendar? To clarify: - I have the standard fields of "Start Time" and "End Time" in my calendar list. - Events show on the calendar just fine. - Would like to create additional fields called "Start Time 2" and "End Time 2" within the same record and have the event show multiple times on the calendar. - The recurrence functionality of sharepoint will not meet my needs because the pattern I need to use is not in one of the allowed choices. Thanks in advance, John

Need to add hard coded values to LINQ query result

I am running a LINQ query which populates a list used by a DropDownList, I need to insert an "Unassigned" value to the list. The function below queries the values correctly from the db but does not insert the "Unaasinged" value to the list. SSRS 2008 R2 - Query builder freezes and needs to be shut down Report Builder 3 when attempting quie

Hi, In SSRS, using Report Builder 3.0 (SSRS R2), after choosing a Report Model as the report's embedded data source, launched "Query Deisinger…" from GUI to build data source in report.  First 1-2 attempts at querying underlying data source (Oracle back-end), are successful, but later attempts freeze application to the point where application freezes and overall Report Builder application needs to be forcibly shut-down. This system freeze has occurred when referencing tables containing a very small number of records as well as larger data sets.  Suspect that application freezing may be caused by timing-out of connection to back-end database. but I am not sure. Any suggestion to solve this issue? Problem with date values in data-driven subscription reports

Hello together, I have a question in regards of data-driven subscription report. I already have an ad-hoc report in place which can be customized by date etc. I now want to run these reports with a subscription. My challenge is now that I don't know how I can pre-define the date. I basically want the start date of NOW() and the end date 7 days in the past. I was looking around but did not get any clue where and how I have to configure it the way it works. I found this thread but honestly do not understand it well... :( http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/fb48fd15-09dd-4f5f-a09f-d92bf304c1a2 Can someone help me out please?
