Package Load Failure

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 27, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

I don't know if I got a bad download, starting a new one tonight to make sure.  But after I installed beta 2 of VS2005 it seems just about everything I do, including just opening it causes a slew of Package Load Failure errors.

Here is one of em:

Package 'Visual Studio Common IDE Package' has failed to load properly ( GUID =
{6e87cfad-6c05-4adf-9cd7-3b7943875b7c}). Please conatct package vendor for assistance.  Application restart is recommended, due to possible environment corruption. Would you like to disable loading this package in the furture? You may use 'devenv /resetskippkgs' to re-enable package loading.

I've done a repair using the dvd image I downloaded the other day and still no luck.  I'm going to try to remove the installation and download another copy of the image and see if it helps.  Also when I installed the software I did get some errors upon installing here they are:

[04/17/05,09:20:59] VS Scenario: [2] *** Blocking Components exist and must be satisified before continuing to install ***

Package Load Failure

I've been using the same version/installation of BIDS (SQL 2005 SP3) for several months now.  All of a sudden today I started getting this error message when I try to load any SSIS, SSRS, or SSAS projects:

Package Load Failure

Package 'DataWarehouse VSIntegration layer' has failed to load properly ( GUID = {4A0C6509-BF90-43DA-ABEE-0ABA3A8527F1}).  Please contact package vendor for assistance.  Application restart is recommended, due to possible environment corruption.  ...

If I click "No" to disable loading of the package in the future, the error message pops up again for each project in the solution, followed by another error message that says "The application for project '...' is not installed.  Make sure the application for project type .dwproj/.dtproj/.rptproj is installed."  The project(s) then show in the solution explorer as unloaded, and when I close the solution I get another error message that is a generic null reference error.  These are team projects in TFS, and other developers are able to open them no problem, so I know it's not the project files.

I read in a couple places to try resetting all settings, but that did not work.  I also read that sometimes the CLSID entry for the package gets pointed at an incorrect file name, but I couldn't even locate the CLSID entr

Getting "Provider load failure" from SSRS Configuration Manager (SQL 2008 R2 Hot Fix CU3 did not fix

After upgrading our SQL 2008 cluster to R2, SSRS on one node works fine, but the second node will not allow connection via the Configuration Manager (getting "Provider load failure").  We've done re-installs, repairs and applied Hot Fix CU3, but the issue remains. NOTE: It's understood that SSRS is not a clustered resource.  We have it installed as separate instances on each of the two cluster nodes.

Reflection.Assembly Load Failure on GAC Deployed DLL From Layouts Directory

So, I've got the oddest thing going on with a web part project that I'm working on for our MOSS '07 server farm.I created a web part that connects to our Active Directory as a sort of company directory thing.  Permission requirements seem to be such that I have to deploy the DLL to the GAC, which I've configured my setup package (WSP Builder) to do.  Everything seems to be working just fine. Then, I add an ASPX page to the Layouts directory in the 12 hive which is supposed to display all the contact details for the domain user by accessing the same DLL that the web part uses.  However, the ASPX page can't find the DLL in the GAC.  I get the following error message in my popup window:File Not Found.   at System.Reflection.Assembly._nLoad(AssemblyName fileName, String codeBase, Evidence assemblySecurity, Assembly locationHint, StackCrawlMark& stackMark, Boolean throwOnFileNotFound, Boolean forIntrospection)    at System.Reflection.Assembly.InternalLoad(AssemblyName assemblyRef, Evidence assemblySecurity, StackCrawlMark& stackMark, Boolean forIntrospection)    at System.Reflection.Assembly.InternalLoad(String assemblyString, Evidence assemblySecurity, StackCrawlMark& stackMark, Boolean forIntrospection)    at System.Reflection.Assembly.Load(String assemblyString)    at System.Web.Configuration.CompilationSection.LoadAssembly(String assemblyName, Boolean throwOnFail

When I execute a DTSX (which was developed in BIDS 2005) in through

command prompt (on a server which only has SQL Server 2005 and SSIS 2005) using dtexec.exe against /File paramger, it was working perfectly fine.

However, I get the following error message after executing on a server which has SQL Server 2005 and SSIS 2005 & 2008.  Is it possible to execute a DTSX, which was developed in BIDS 2005, on a server that has both SSIS 2005 & 2008?  Please advise.  I often get the following error message in such case.  Thanks!

Error occurred in deployment step 'Recycle IIS Application Pool': Provider load failure

Hello,

I am using Visual Studio 2010 to create page layouts and preview images(http://blog.beckybertram.com/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=71). I was successful in creating page layouts but the image was not coming properly.

So I decided to change the path of image and deploy the project (Empty SharePoint project). But this time, I am getting an error
Error occurred in deployment step 'Recycle IIS Application Pool': Provider load failure
I am sure there is no relation between changing image path in elements.xml and this error.

I also browsed through and found some related issues, but they are not specific to VS 2010 or SharePoint 2010. And I am apprehensive of implementing them.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb961987(VS.90).aspx

1. The logged in user is site collection admin and local admin
2. Windows Management Instrumentation service is running
3. App pool's identity is configured to the local admin & password has not changed.

Thanks in advance

unable to load package

I have created an SSIS package in BI dev studio which i can debug and run fine. I have saved the dtsx file to a production server which calls it using dtexec as part of a batch script (we are migrating from foxpro). I am getting the following error that i dont understand.

I dont know if this is relevant but i cant execute packages by double clicking them as DTexecui is not installed (not sure why as i have installed the client tools and integration server). Hardware is Dell poweredge 2850 dual xeon 2gb ram with win 2k sp4 and sql 2005 sp1.

VS2008 unable to load Integration Services package document after creation

Upon creating a new IS project in Visual Studio 2008, I get this error message in a tabbed window:

"Microsoft Visual Studio is unable to load this document: To design Integration Services packages in BI Development Studio, IS has to be installed by one of these editions of SQL Server 2008: Standard, Enterprise, Developer, or Evaluation.  To install IS, run SQL Server setup and select Integration Services."

But I do have IS installed.  I have two databases, one from the free Express Advanced edition and one from Developer edition.  SQL 2008 setup (Developer edition) shows IS installed as a shared component.  I installed the Express edition before later installing the Developer edition and had no problems.  What needs to be done here?  Help, and thanks for any help!

I experienced this problem while running and following a video tutorial "Creating a Basic Package," from this MSDN site:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc952921.aspx

If it helps, I have .NET 3.5 SP1 installed.

Cannot add the selected toolbox item to the package.Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlS

Hi

I recently installed SQL server 2008 entreprise edition on a windows 7 machine but I'm surprised by the error

Cannot add the selected toolbox item to the package.Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Diagnostics.STrace, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one

The complexity resides in the simplicity

how to have full and incremental load in a single package

I have two separate packages one for full laod and the other for incremental load.

In full load I will be truncating the destination table and loading the data but in incremental I am using lookups for checking the record whether it is new or old record.

Is it possbile to have a single package so that if I select full load ,it should do full load or else it sholud do incremental skipping trunctaing task and perform the load operation.

SSIS Package Execution Failure in ASP.NET

Hi All,

I am new to ASP.NET and SSIS Package . I tried to execute a package. Package Execution is working well in my local server but it not working in web server. While trying to find the error, i got the following,

System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: Showing a modal dialog box or form when the application is not running in UserInteractive mode is not a valid operation. Specify the ServiceNotification or DefaultDesktopOnly style to display a notification from a service application.

It would be helpful if any one find a solution.

Thanks in advance.
