ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation. I am populating drop down list client side

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 27, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

 Hi All.

I am populating a dropdownlist based on another dropdownlist. all this is done via client side. it is for a search page. Anyway, it gives me an error and says that i need to use ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation. I get the error when i click the search button.

Anyone know how i can solve this without setting eventvalidation for the page to false?

Dynamically (on client side) populating data control (repeater) when dropdown item is selected

Hello!I'm currently working on a project and I want to make as much things as possible performing on client side - with as little loading as possible. The project consist of three "main" pages. On one page I use jQuery DataTable plugin which is working great. One page has tabs (using jQuery). I want to put datacontrol (repeater) on this site and when  user selects one item in dropdown, data in repeater loads on client side, without performing the action on server.I wonder if this is possible and if somebody can give me some case to help with? Thanks!I hope I was clear enough. all the best

Button On client click event Loads Drop Down List

Hello All

Right now my ASP page has a text box and a submit button, what I am trying to do is once the user hits the submit button load a drop down list.

The drop down list should not be visible before the submit button is pressed

Thanks in advance

Client-side checkbox list validator?

I've looked at these:

http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/tips/t040302-1.shtml

http://icelava.net/components/RequiredCheckBoxListValidator.aspx

but these both work server-side (unless I'm missing something). I had hopes for the second one because it embeds javascript.

I have other validators on the page, and I want to show everything at once.  But the other ones are client-side, while the two I tried don't show the error message until the page posts back.

Use jQuery and ASP.NET AJAX to build a client side Repeater

By sending only data to the client, you can profoundly reduce the size of what you send and see a substantial increase in performance. You also allow yourself the ability to easily add features like light-weight sorting and paging on the client. This can not only improve your users' experience, but reduce server load and bandwidth requirements.

Client Side Gridview Pagination using JQuery

I would like to show how to use Client Side Gridview Pagination using Jquery Table Pagination Plugin by using Ryan Zielke.

To that end, I'm going to walk you through these four steps to effectively implementing a client side Repeater, using ASP.NET AJAX and jQuery:

Adding Client-Side Confirmation When Deleting

The JavaScript confirm(string) function displays its string input parameter as the text inside a modal dialog box that comes equipped with two buttons - OK and Cancel (see Figure 1). The confirm(string) function returns a Boolean value depending on what button is clicked (true, if the user clicks OK, and false if they click Cancel).

Populating Dropdown List using FK

Hi Folks,

2 Questions. I am trying out Data Entities in VWD 2010 Express. I have a parent (Customers) and child (Orders) table. Customers table has FirstName, LastName and Email columns.

Q1. When I view/edit/insert an Order, it shows the customer's first name in dropdown list whereas I want the full name. How can this be done?

Q2. How can I change the default behavior of PK/FK relationship so that customer's Email is displayed instead of Name?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers
