can anyone tell me why i am getting this error
hello i need help , any ideas are welcome i have been working on this for two weeks now and cannot seem to be able to advance
I've got a ListView with textboxes inside (bound to a property) and a button behind it.
I'd like to make the button enabled only when:
1) Each TextBox is not empty (each property has got a value)
2) Each TextBox has not got errors
How can I do it via code behind?
I Simply drag a button from the toolbar onto a new page with a master page and a title, double click it so that I enter the Button1_Click function and sets a breakpoint and add some random code. The breakpoint nor the code never fires. I've tried this on several different pages and controllers, but with the same results: The page reloads, but no code is run.
I Have Tried:
Ive tried with three different webbrowsers with all plugins disabled.
I've tried to turn of Causes Validation, - Nothing changes.
I've tried to clean and Rebuild the project, - Still nothing.
I've tried to create a whole new project, - Does'nt work there either.
A RadioButtonList OnDatabound Event works, but whenever i try to do a Button or ImageButton click event the code for the event never fires. Ive programmed several webapplications in other versions of visual studio and ASP.NET but I have never encountered this problem before.
Breakpoints work in other parts of the code and the compile settings is set to DEBUG.
I am using
* Visual Studio 2010
* ASP.NET 4
* MVC 2.
Am I supposed to file a bug report or does anyone out there have a solution?
Many thanks in adv

When the page opens it loads the gridview.but I don't want this.I would like to load the gridview after I press a submit button. so infact after postback...I tried to remove the select Method in aspx and set programmaticallyin the submit button eventhandler but then I get an error thatSelectmethod is not set.Can someone advice me how I can load the gridview usingobjectdatasource after pressing a submit button?
I have a Button control in webpage.
<asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Button" OnClick="Button1_Click" OnClientClick="test()"/>
When i click on button, i want to check some conditions
I am trying to call a function when the button is clicked, but the button is inside a repeater. The functions are also called when the page loads because I need to load the values. I am getting this error:
BC30408: Method 'Public Sub getProductSize()' does not have the same signature as delegate 'Delegate Sub EventHandler(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs)'.
I am having trouble with two buttons on a page. I dragged them on to the page and then double- clicked each of them in order to create the OnClick events.
I added my code to the events, but when I click the buttons, their respective events aren't being called.
I am very confused!
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
My .aspx code:
<asp:Button ID="Button3" runat="server" Text="Accept" CausesValidation="true" onclick="Button3_Click" />
<asp:Button ID="Button4" runat="server" Text="Reject" CausesValidation="true" onclick="Button4_Click" />
My Code behind:
protected void Button3_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
int id = int.Parse(queryString);
//string connection = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["LiveDatabase"].ToString();
string connection = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["MySqlDatabase"].ToString();
MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlConnection MyConn = new MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlConnection(connection);
string query = "UPDATE p
is it posible to instead of clicking the "run the query" button to load the users records in the fields that the fields load automatically.
can this only be done with a role and a "set a value's field" action?
using c# asp.net i m able to achieve the enable and disable through auto postback
protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
string url = "default2.aspx?";
url += "sid=" + Server.UrlEncode(DropDownList1.SelectedItem.Text.Trim());
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
Panel1.Visible = false;
Panel2.Visible = false;
Panel3.Visible = false;
Panel4.Visible = false;
if (Request.QueryString != null)
Label1.Text = Request.QueryString["sid"].ToString();
protected void RadioButton1_CheckedChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
if (Request.QueryString["sid"] == "new")
Panel1.Visible = true;
Panel2.Visible = false;
if (Request.QueryString["sid"] == "old")
Panel3.Visible = true;
Panel4.Visible = false;
protected void RadioButton2_CheckedChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
I have a content page that has a form in it. The problem that I am having is that I get no response from the submit button for when clicking on it in IE 7 and 8. I have also siccessfully tested it in Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
This seems like a fairly common problem but I have yet to find a solution that works. I found some posts that suggested that there might be a problem with the aspnet_client folder so I ran aspnet_regiis -i and restarted IIS. I even when so far as to reinstall the asp.net framework and IIS. No love there.
I have verified that I have only one form tag in my master page also.
I also tried messing with the buttons UseSubmitBehavior, but that started up a whole mess of other problems like form field vaules not being posted.
Maybe there is something simple I've been missing becaue I've been looking at it too long ;) Fresh eyes would be appreciated.
Here is my master page:
