find and replace on regexp in selected text

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 26, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

I work in SQL Server Management Studio 9.00.1399.00

I have this text:

I search this regexp:

^{[^ ,]+}
and replace with this one:

o\.\1 = t\.\1

As result I expect this:

o.Column1 = t.Column1,
o.Column2 = t.Column2,
o.Column3 = t.Column3
Replace works fine when I search in Current Document. But it does not work in Selection. When I apply search and replace to selection, I get this result:

o. = t.,
o. = t.umn3
Is there any fix? Regexp never worked fine in SSMS, but usually I managed to find work around. Not this time.

Thank you,

regexp to find and replace strings in UNIX

I currently use UltraEdit to edit my files, which it has an option to do a search and replace in all files in a directory. In my directory I have files that I need to replace stuff in all of them.

Replace: $_POST['SomeVariableThatIsUnknown']
With: fetchValue($_POST, 'SomeVariableThatIsUnknown')

The SomeVariableThatIsUnknown variable could include numbers or other special characters (really anything other than ' or ]). Can someone help me with the REGEXP to find these and then one to replace them?

Search does not find text in Word document stored in document library on a Report Center site within

We have a document library on a site created off of the Report Center site template. We uploaded a Word 2007 document with the word zebra in the text. Using the search bar at the top of the page we selected This list: Our document library and searched for zebra. We received no results.

We tested the same thing on another site (site template Team site) within the same site collection and search worked fine.

Does the Report Center search function differently then the search functionality on the Team site?

how to get the text of selected checkbox from asp.net checkboxlist control using jquery

I have asp.net checkboxlist control that bounded to a data source so the number of items in the control are different from one to to another time.

I have this function:

     $('#<%=chkListGroups.ClientID %> input:checkbox:checked').siblings('label').text();

this function will return all texts for all selected items in the control as a one string.

 I'm looking for a way that when I check a check box from the ckeckboxlist control will return only last checked checkbox.

this code :

$('#<%=chkListGroups.ClientID %> input:checkbox:checked').last().siblings('label').text();

returns last checked item for example if I checked second will return
second item then when I checked fifth item will return fifth item but
if now when I check third item will return fifth item so it is always
returning last item checked in the list and I'm looking to

Please advice me how to do this using jquery.

Replace Text in textbox in word document using interop and asp.net

Hi all,  I'm trying to create a function to replace fields in a word document using asp.net. The fields are marked in the document using ###field### and I need to replace them with the data from the DB. The code I have works fine for the body of the word document but doesn't appear to work if the text is contained within a textbox, is there a way to correct this? Here's the code I am currently using Dim Contract as string Dim word As New Word.Application        Dim doc As Word.Document        Try            word.Documents.Open("c:\FYI.doc")            word.Visible = True             doc = word.ActiveDocument            Dim myStoryRange As Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Range            For Each myStoryRange In doc.StoryRanges                With myStoryRange.Find                    .Text = "###field###&quo

Patch for VS 2010 Find and Replace Dialog Growing

One of the top reported Microsoft Connect issues with VS 2010 has been an issue with the Find and Replace dialog - which grows 16px each time you use it (which is pretty annoying). The Visual Studio team recently released a patch that fixes this issue. You can download and apply it here. Hope this helps, Scott P.S. A few people reported issues installing the patch if they had an older version of the Silverlight 4 tools installed.  If you see an error message that says you need an update to Visual Studio to support Silverlight 4, you can fix it by installing the latest Silverlight 4 tools release.

How to get selected text of a drop down list in MVC?

I aggressively googled around, but could not find the information I am looking for.  I know how to populate a dropdownlist using my view model and Html.DropDownListFor helper method.Suppose the drop down list contains U.S. stateId and stateName key value pairs.  Suppose my ViewModel looks likepublic class MyViewModel{      public IList<State> States {get; set;}      public int SelectedStateId {get; set; }}public class State{     public int StateId {get; set; }     public string StateName {get; set; }}Now, in my controller's action method:[HttpPost]public ViewResult Index(MyViewModel  myViewModel){     // This following line seems to work fine, myViewModel automatically      // picks up the selected item of the drop down list.  How does this work?      // Is this the so-called model binding?      int selectedStateId = myViewModel.SelectedStateId;      // But, then, how do I get the selected state name?     string stateName = ??????????????     ... ... }Do I have to change my implementation of my view model?  In any case, how to get the selected item text of the drop down list?  Any hint?  Thanks a lot.

find and replace linebreaks in file read from disk

I have a css file which I want to read from disk and in that content I want to find and replace all linebreaks (do I look for vbCrlf or ...?)   Public Shared Function GetFileContents(ByVal FullFilename As String) As String        Dim filecontents As String = ""        If File.Exists(FullFilename) Then            Dim objStreamReader As StreamReader            objStreamReader = File.OpenText(FullFilename)            filecontents = objStreamReader.ReadToEnd()            objStreamReader.Close()        End If       Return filecontents    End FunctionSo in the returned variable "filecontents" I want to find and replace any linebreaks.        FILE: style.css#progress{color:#000;width:500px;height:30px;padding:0px;clear:both;}#progress ul{list-style:none;padding:0px;margin: auto;display:block;}#progress ul li{list-style:none;display:inline;float:left;width:auto;height:30px;padding:0px;line-height:30px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px;}

Cancel multiple WFs at once & global list find & replace

We have a number of products in our company, and a need for an email alert for various reasons for each product. Thus, I have a SP list where each list item has a drop-dead date, plus the manager's name and manager's email address as well as a note as to what needs to be done. When a new item is created, or a list item is changed, a workflow is initiated. Remember, each single product associated with a manager can have dozens of these email alert list items with differing drop-dead dates. The workflow is designed to send alerts out at stated intervals before the drop-dead date. The problem is that the manager in charge of a given product can and does change. What I have to do now is to open each of the items that pertain to that manager, stop the existing workflow, change the manager's name and email address in the item, then save it (thus starting a new workflow). This can get tedious when a single product can have several dozen list items corresponding to several dozen drop-dead dates. I would like to be able to filter the list, kill all the workflows that are connected to each item in the filtered list, change the manager name and email using the Datasheet facility, then save. At that point, X new workflows would start where X is the number of list items in the filtered list. 1. Is that possible (I doubt it) in our native SP 2007? 2. Does anyone

Replacing a text question in a Survey using JavaScript at runtime (document.body.innerHTML.replace)

Hi, I want to replace some of the text in a SharePoint Survey at runtime.  The idea behind that is to add a "header" or "title" to questions that are related together.  For example, let's say I have 2 related questions, a page separator, and 2 more related questions: (yes/no type of questions): Q1.  Are you between 20 and 40? Q2.  Did you went to college?   --page separator-- Q3.  J2EE Q4.  C/C++ The result on the final Survey should look like this: Tell us about you. Are you between 20 and 40?  Did you went to college?   --page separator-- Indicate what programming languages you know: J2EE C/C++ Simply, I tried to use the document.body.innerHTML.replace() in order to replace:  - Q1 with: <h2>Tell us about you.</h2>  - Q2 with ''  - Q3 with: <h2>Indicate what programming languages you know:</h2>  - Q4 with: '' Using the technique below, I added the following code in SharePoint Designer in NewForm.aspx: <asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderId="PlaceHolderTitleAreaClass" runat="server"> <script id="onetidPageTitleAreaFrameScript"> document.getElementById("onetidPageTitleAreaFrame").className="ms-areaseparator"; document.body.innerHTML = document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Q1/g,'

Find the RootNode text/value of TreeView control using Javascript

Is it possible to find the text/value of the Rootnode  of Treeview control using javascript.

highlighting the text of the selected item in Ajax Combobox

Is there a way to programmatically select the entire string of the selected item in the AJAX Combobox?

What I'm trying to do is bascially on a State/City selection.

1.  User selects a State from the first combobox.  This triggers the City combobox to be populated.  The item(0) is "Select One:".

2.  I want the entire "Select One:" to be hightlight as if the user had used their mouse and highlighted all the text.

The reason for this that I'd like the user to be able to start typing the city without needing to clear out the "Select One:" manually.

Can this be done?
