Displaying a Parameter Value in the report footer that corresponds with the parameterized data on ea

I've got a report that has only one parameter, it determines the department (or departments) to base the report on, the parameter is set to allow for multiple values. The report returns only on page per department, so the report could be anywhere from one to a hundred pages, one page per department. I've included a text box in the report footer that displays the report name and the parameter value, the expression looks like this: =Globals!ReportName & " For Department " & Parameters!Dept.Value(0)    I know that in this example the zero inside of the parenthesis of the parameter value is what is returning the actual value when the report is rendered, and I understand that the zero is value in the array of parameter values. What I'm looking to do is adapt this expression so that the parameter value rendered on each page corresponds with the data (departement) displayed on the specific page. So using the example of the data, if the user selected three departments in the parameter drop down, then each page that displayed the different department’s information would also display that departments name in the page footer text box. I'm thinking that each time a page is rendered that there is a group or global variable that can be called to provide this dynamically but I can't seem to find the information. Appreciate any help, Dan

Masterpage with header and footer and buttons on header to change between silverlight and asp pages.

Hi, I would like to create a master page with a header and footer. The header contains buttons which call either an ASP page or Silverlight page. I want to be able to select a page and the relevant page is loaded. The problem I am facing is that the footer does not dock to the bottom unless I include a fixed height. Can someone help as to the best way of doing this. I am not sure if I need to use a masterpage for this or just a simple page? The following is my code on the master page:<head runat="server"> <title>Staff Profiles</title> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="head" runat="server"></asp:ContentPlaceHolder> <link href="CSS/mainpage.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server" > <div id="container"> <div class="mainHeader" align="center"> <table width="920" height="120" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td width="10" rowspan="2"><img src="images/Header_01.jpg" alt="" width="10" height="120" /></td>

question regarding displaying parameter value on the report header section

hi,

i have a tabular report which has 3 parameters.@begin date ,@enddate and @employeeid.the default value for the @employeeid parameter is "All" .the report works fine even if i don't enter any value for  the parameter @employeeid .

my question is:

i need to display the parameter value for the @employeeid in report header which is easy @parameter!employeeid.value

but I need to display "All" for @employeeid parameter in the report header even i don't enter any value for @employeeid

i tried to do it by using the code below it is not giving me an error but it is not displaying "All" when i don't enter any value for the @employeeid parameter.

=IIF(isnothing(Parameters!employeeid.Value),"All",Parameters!employeeid.Value).

any help in this is greatly appreciated.

thanks,

krishna

SSRS Report - Page break after the Header when export to PDF

Hi,

I am using SSRS 2005 version. I am printing multiple invoices, taking multiple invoice numbers as a parameter and printing invoices.

I have grouped the report based on Invoice  number, so that the invoices are printed sequentially and there will be page break after each invoice. Within each invoice there is a header, body and footer.

My issue is after the header is printed, an automatic page break happens after the header, and the body moves to the next page. Therefore there is a large gap between the report header and the body. The report layout is landscape.

I wish any one can solve this issue and grateful if they can give the solution for my problem.

Thanks,

Mahalingam

Exporting a PerformancePoint Excel Services Report to Excel

Have an Excel services PivotTable in a PPS 2010 dashboard.  When the user selects the "Export to Excel" option they receive this error.

I do not see any options in the webpart to show the old toolbar that used to show up in the Excel Services views.  (It had an option to open the pivottable in Excel or export a "snapshot" to Excel)

How do users export Excel Services reports to Excel?

Error

The selected view does not support an export to the selected format.

Exporting one particular page from SSRS report

Hi,

I have developed a report using 2 sub-reports. The report data spans across many pages.
User wants to export one of the sub-report in TIFF format.

Is this possible? Can I export one particular page using export option? Here I don't know the exact page number as well because sub-report may get displayed on any page 2,3.4 etc.

Reporting Services 2008 - footer problem when exporting to Word

I have a footer that I want to show up on the last page only.

I use the following expression for the text box under text box properties --> visability

=IIF(Globals!TotalPages = Globals!PageNumber,

False, True)

When I run the report in reporting services, it does only print the footer on the last page.  When exported to Word, footer prints on all pages.

My questions:

1.  Is my expression ignored in Word for the footer, so I will not be able to do this in the footer?

2.  Is there another way to have something print at the bottom of the last page that will be recognized when exported to MS Word (report size will vary based on data returned)?

Any help is appreciated.

Kind regards.
