ModalPopup/UpdatePanel from codebehind, inconsistent behavior onClick

First post bear with me please:

I have a simple form with a list of linkbuttons, each fires the same onclick event which sets an indicator image.  I have a dummy button with style="display:none" which I have set as the TargetControlID of the modal.

onClick event from the imagebutton, the modal is shown via modal.Show().  The cancel button inside the modalpopup fires an event which turns off the indicator image and hides the modal via modal.Hide().

The events fire perfectly, it's very simple!  Although after doing some testing I noticed the modalpopup is not presented after the 6-10th cycle of clicking the open event, then clicking cancel.  The grey background appears but it is behind the main panel and the modal is either presented behind this or is just simply not displaying.

I spent hours researching various methods, implemented the CancelControlID to see if it was somehow tied to my call of modal.Hide() that fails.

This occurs with an updatepanel only.  The behaviour is much cleaner this way, so I would hope to be able to implement this.  I have basically eliminated everything but these two events!  Please help

Treeview node to add onclick event to download files

 Hi, I would like to know how to add onclick evend to a TreeNode so that the file can be downloaded.   How can I implement below sample code to a TreeNode? <a href="#" onclick="popup('/directory1/Somefile.doc'); return false;" target="download"> Somefile </a> <script language="javascript"> function popup(url) { popWin = window.parent.open(url, 'popWindow', 'height=900, width=900, toolbar=no, menubar=yes, scrollbars=yes, titlebar=no, resizable=yes,location=0, directories=no, status=no'); } </script> I have TreeNodePopulate event to populate nodes like this: protected void DocRepository_TreeNodePopulate(object sender, TreeNodeEventArgs e) { .... onclick on control with eval dosn't work

Hi, I have an aspx control with works perfectly:<asp:HyperLink ID="lnkSeekJob" runat="server" Text="Søgt job" NavigateUrl='<%# "SeekJob.aspx?id=" + Eval("companyPId")%>' Target="SeekJob" name="SeekJob" onClick="wopen('SeekJob.aspx?id=3', 'popup', 600, 480); return false;" /> The problem is that the id isn't always 3 - so I have to get the rows id - I try this with eval:<asp:HyperLink ID="lnkSeekJob" runat="server" Text="Søgt job" NavigateUrl='<%# "SeekJob.aspx?id=" + Eval("companyPId")%>' Target="SeekJob" name="SeekJob" onClick='<%# "wopen('SeekJob.aspx?id=" + Eval("companyPId") + ", 'popup', 600, 480); return false;"%>' /> But I then get the error: The server tag isn't weel formed. I think (I'm pretty sure) it's because of the "/' . They aren't set correctly. Can anyone help me - so I set these correctly? Kind regards, simsen :-)

asp:Button inside a SharePoint Dataview's Rows with onclick event does not call C# function. Pull i

asp:Button inside SharePoint Dataview Rows with onclick event does not call C# function. Pull it out of Dataview and works fine. I have a ASP.NET Button I've placed inside a SharePoint  DataView's rows with an onclick event pointing to C# function block inside my page. The page refreshes when I click on them, but it's not hitting that code block. If I move the button to outside the dataview and make the ID fixed, the code works beautifully. what's up with that? the button in the Dataview: td class="ms-vb" style="width: 70px"><asp:Button runat="server" Text="Delete" id="Delete{@ID}" CommandArgument="{@FileRef}" OnClick="DeleteDoc"/> </td> my C# onclick handler (inline C# on the page) void DeleteDoc(object sender, EventArgs e) { Button b = sender as Button; .. more code The buttons are rendered and they look like this: input type="submit" name="ctl00$PlaceHolderMain$g_08acadfd_957b_4112_a426_cc7c81991c1e$Delete1" value="Delete" id="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_g_08acadfd_957b_4112_a426_cc7c81991c1e_Delete1" Thie code block in inline and I'm working from SharePoint Designer. Not sure how I can troubleshoot this.  Am I missing something here, maybe I need to add an Itemtemplate or something like we need to in the ASP.N

ImageButton onClick

 I created an image button called "pic1" with the OnClick feature. When clicked it runs "btnClicked".   In the sub "btnClick", how would I get information? One example is to get the button tooltip.  I tried this: request.form.item("pic1.tooltip"). That did not work.

Disable submit but keep onclick

This is what I have:

<input id="deleteBtn" type="image" src="/Content/Images/deleteRecord_up.png" onclick="javascript:confirmDeleteRecord(id) ;" />

It is an button of type image that has an onclick with it.  When I click it the "confirmDeleteRecord" runs great but then the form submits which I don't want.  I tried using "onmouseout=this.disabled=true" but then I can't even get the "confirmDeleteRecord" to run.

How do I keep the onclick functionality but disable it as far as submitting the form?

thanks in advance.

No OnClick-events on any button/ImageButtons on any page runs any code

I Simply drag a button from the toolbar onto a new page with a master page and a title, double click it so that I enter the Button1_Click function and sets a breakpoint and add some random code. The breakpoint nor the code never fires. I've tried this on several different pages and controllers, but with the same results: The page reloads, but no code is run.

I Have Tried:

Ive tried with three different webbrowsers with all plugins disabled.

I've tried to turn of Causes Validation, - Nothing changes.

I've tried to clean and Rebuild the project, - Still nothing.

I've tried to create a whole new project, - Does'nt work there either.

Other Information:

A RadioButtonList OnDatabound Event works, but whenever i try to do a Button or ImageButton click event the code for the event never fires. Ive programmed several webapplications in other versions of visual studio and ASP.NET but I have never encountered this problem before.

Breakpoints work in other parts of the code and the compile settings is set to DEBUG.

I am using

* Visual Studio 2010

* MVC 2.

Am I supposed to file a bug report or does anyone out there have a solution?

Many thanks in adv

HtmlElement.GetAttribute.("onClick") method getting and setting

Using a WebBrowser control I want to assign a new method to the "onClick" event of an anchor element. GetAttribute returns a System.__ComObject, so it doesn't work if I use SetAttribute with the javascript string for the new method. Any idea? Thank you all in advance.

onclick() of PopupControlExtender's target control does not work.

I am wondering if anyone could shed some light on why onclick of the target control does not work.

I am asking this mainly out of curiosity because replacing onclcick with onfocus achieves what I need.
