Two modalpopups as a parent-child

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 25, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

When I  open two modalpopups, one over another, there is unexpected order.

After click on "Open Parent Panel", and click on "Open Child Panel",

Child Panel (newone) is under the Parent.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

What should I do to get it in "normal order"?

The code is:

    <asp:ScriptManager ID="A" runat="Server">
    <asp:Button id="Z1"  runat="server" Text="Open Parent Panel"

GridView Parent Child View with JQuery Effects

How to keep the hover for Parent menu and set the selected menu item css for child menu item?

I'm using cssfriendly control adapter for menu. My asp.net menu control's datasource is a sitemap file I'm using which contains all the urls.

I have the following questions:

  1. Is there a way to keep the parent menu item hovered while hovering over the respective child menu items?
  2. Is there a way to keep the child menu item selected? I am able to set the css for the parent menu, however I was wondering if the same is possible with the child items.

Please help! Smile

Display a nested child ListView on PostBack while using DataPager on parent ListView

Hello ASP.NET community,

I am having trouble finding how to solve the following issue :

I am using nested listviews to display Sales and Sales details.

The main ListView displays General Information about Sales and the child ListView displays the detailed information about one sale. the child listview is shown only when the user clicks on a link (see included code, DataBind is made on PageLoad) :

ASPX Markup Code :

<asp:listview id="lvSales" runat="server" onitemdatabound="lvSales_ItemDataBound">

InfoPath and Access - two parent tables and one child table

Hi there,

I'm trying to link an InfoPath form to an Access database, I want to connect the InfoPath form to 3 tables in the Access database but InfoPath will only recognise parent-child relationships in a series (e.g. the "Company" table is the parent to the "Customer" table, which is again parent to the "Orders" table)

I need to have two parent tables and one child table, though (e.g. "Customer" is parent to "Orders", but "Inventory_Item" is also parent to "Orders"). Is there any way to establish this in InfoPath? I'm using Windows XP, InfoPath 2007 and Access 2007.

Cheers, Patrick

How to assign data from 1 DataReader into Parent/Child object??

Hi I have a parent & child table. Parent - User UserID UserName Status 1 Shallin A 2 How A   Child - UserAccess UserID Country Default 1 US 0 1 UK 0 1 MY 1 2 SG 0 2 HK 0 2 MY 1   I also have parent & child object class.       I would like to use 1 C# function and 1 SP to handle the retrieve portion but I have 1 problem. I'm not sure how to assign the value from Reader to the object.   I do something like this but I only get 1 country which is the last country. if (dr.HasRows) {     while (dr.Read())     {         User objUser = new User();         objUser.UserID = dr["User_ID"].ToString().Trim();         objUser.UserName = dr["UserName"].ToString().Trim();         objUser.UserStatus = dr["Status"].ToString().Trim();         UserAccess objUserAccess = new UserAccess();         objUserAccess.Country = dr["Country"].ToString().Trim();         objUserAccess.Default = dr["Default"].ToString().Trim();         objUser.UserAccessCollection = new UserA

MDX Query - Get (Parent-Child) Dimension member regarding another Parent-Child Dimension, then, get

Hi there, I got the following MDX issue. My cube structure looks like that : DIMENSION CATEGORY (Parent-Child) --> (Many to many) FCTLESS_CategoryNode <-- DIMENSION NODE (Parent-Child) ___ DIMENSION NODE (Parent-Child) --> (Many to many) FCTLESS_NodeVariable <-- DIMENSION VARIABLE ___ DIMENSION VARIABLE <-- FACT (Supposed with only one value called VALUE) I'd like aggregate for N nodes linked to a specific category. For example, with the next content : DIMENSION CATEGORY - COUNTRY - SITE - BUILDING DIMENSION NODE US (Category Country)     - Site US_A (Category Site)     - Building US_A_A  (Category Building) FR (Category Country)     - Site FR_A (Category Site)     - Building FR_A_A  (Category Building)                                       - Site FR_A (Category Site)     - Building FR_A_B  (Category Building)                                       - Site FR_B (Category Site)

can this be done OOB (parent - child related lists)?

Hello, I'm brand new to sharepoint. Can I do the following out of the box, or will I need custom code? I need to create 2 related lists to form a master - detail relationship.  1. need to enter new parent and child list items on the same input form (like when adding a new parent item, also add new child items on the same screen) 2. need to have a view where when a parent item is selected the related child items display in a grid underneath can this be done out of the box? if yes, how? could someone provide an example or links to a 'how to'? thanks!

Help about cascadin M2M with parent child hierachy custom rollup for one measure

Dear MSAS Experts, My name is Andre and i am writing my thesis about data quality which needs to be finished in about 3 weeks.:-( For my thesis i needed to develop a Schema which store data quality issues. This is a part of my schema which includes a cascading M2M: Facttabele: ErrorFact / ChecksFact / RULE ID / ... DT_RULE: Rule_ID / ..... RULE_ATTRIBUTE_BRIDGE: RULE_ID / Attribut_ID => M2M beetween Rule and Attribut(Rules can belong to multiple Attributes) DT_Attribut: Attribut_ID / .... Attribut_KPI_Bridge: Atribute_ID / KPI_ID => M2M beetween Attribute and KPI (Attributes can be used for multible KPI calc) DT_KPI: KPI_ID, KPI_Name, KPI_PARENT => Parent Child Since MSAS do not provide a Agrgatefunction I have a calculated Measure (lets say its called 'EC') which calculates the average of ErrorFact/ChecksFact. Now the problem I do have is that the 'EC' Measure should be aggregated within and only in the DT_KPI dimension that every child which belongs to the same parent should be muliplicated ('*') with each other till we reach the all member node. So if we have the following PC-Hierachy: -A --B ---C ---D --E The result of A would be (C*D)*E = A. B of course would show the result of C*D. On the other hand all the other facts should use the normal aggregation for this dimension. Also EC should be aggregated normal in all other dimensions. I tried usin

Parent-Child relationship on a Type 2 (SCD) Dimension

For a Type 2 slowly changing dimension (SCD) such as Employee with a Parent-Child relationship, how do you handle the explosion of new rows when a high ranking employee has an attribute change?   It will require terminating the high ranking employee row and adding a new current row with a new surrogate key. Then every employee row below this employee will also have to be terminated and a new current row added with the new surrogate key of the parent.   This will have to be performed 1 level at a time so the subordinate rows will have the new surrogate key of their immediate parent.   For a large organization such as 20,000 employees, this will result in a dimension with hundreds of thousands rows in a relatively short time.   Is there a better way to model this?

SSAS - How to get other members from dimension that has Parent Child hierarchy?

I have a Sales Territory dimension that has employee and parent employee attribute on which parent child hierarchy is defined and it gives below hierarchy while browsing - - Mark Rolls --- Lumin Jacs ----- Larry Gomes ------- Messica Owens ------- Tom Ted ----------- Jackson Lopez ----- Matthew Ron --- Fred jacob - Jason Ron --- Jecy Pedro   But beside this parent-child hierarchy I have other attributes like employee address, email and telephone. My facts related sales transaction is tagged to lowest level. For example here facts are available only for Jackson Lopez (being Field Executive). When use below query I get complete sales reporting hierarchy result with some measures like sales amount, sales volume. But while accesing other attributes like address or email, it's repeating address/email/telephone of jackson Lopes everywhere to whom fact record is linked, Actually I want address/email/telephone of each sales employee from that dimension within hierarchy. How do I get it? The query I used is: Here Parent Terr ID is parent child hierachy. SELECT ( Descendants( { [Dim SalesRegion].[Parent Terr ID].[Employee Level 01].&[538018] /* here Mark Rolls is 538018 */ }, 0,AFTER), NONEMPTY([Dim SalesRegion].[Emp Address].[Emp Address].Members), NONEMPTY([Dim SalesRegion].[Emp Email].[Emp Email].Members) ) ON ROWS , { ([Dim Date].[The Year].[The Year].[CY-2010], [Dim

Parent-Child, Unbalanced Hierarchy and unexpected Root behaviour

I have a chart accounts that contains an account key and parent account key (like the AW Enterprise sample). Each account ultimately has either Assets or Liabilities as parent. However, There also some accounts appear in the root because they have less levels then the other accounts. to put in other words: the acounts with exactly four levels, ultimately show up with either assets or liabilities in the root but the members with less then four levels, also appear in the root instead of under Assets or Liabilities. Where am I going wrong? The dimension settings appear to be exactly the same as the AdventureWorks-sample.

update/insert parent child at the same time

Hi Al, Is there a way to create a contact form that takes the name. address and other info for the master record; Then, somehow, on the same page, allow the user to enter multiple contact info as chid records (i.e. phone, email, etc.) All this using the Objec DataSource or SQL DataSource (which ever is easy) and doesn't require writing too much code. Any reference material welcomed. Thanks, rod.
