I had some web applications that each had their own application pools. After some reading and searching, I decided to change all of the web applications to use only one application pool. I accomplished this using the script found here:
. The problem I'm having is that, after deleting the old application pools from IIS, the application pools are still showing up under the managed service accounts
credential management list. Therefore I can't delete the managed accounts I had setup for these application pools. I've found powershell commands to remove service application pools, but I haven't been able to find anything on removing the web
application pools from SharePoint's configuration. Any thoughts?
