Multiple tasks in video rendering

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 25, 2010    Points: 0   Category :WPF

Hi,

        I am devoleping a WPF application which renders live video coming from a Video camera. I am using  a seperate thread to get the frames from the camera. Apart from that i am using the UI thread to display it on the image element.

The image element is refreshed and redrawn using the below piece of code . But the video flickers a lot. Pleas let me know if i am doing somethin wrong.

{
         DrawingVisual drawingVisual = new DrawingVisual();
          DrawingContext drawingContext = drawingVisual.RenderOpen();
          Rect rect = new Rect(50 , 50 , 320, 240);
          drawingContext.DrawImage(bmpsrc, rect);

          RenderImage(bmpsrc);
          Refresh(drawingVisual);
          drawingContext.Close();
}

    private delegate void RenderImageEventsHandler(BitmapSource image);

    private void RenderImage(BitmapSource bmpsrc)
    {

      if (this.video.Dispatcher.CheckAccess())
      {
        this.video.Source = bm

duplicate video to multiple mediaelement

I have xpab (partial trust) application with multiple initialized pages. Each of these pages includes an mediaelement with a backroundvideo. Is it possible to load the sourcevideo only once? I would like to do something like this: page1mediaelent = publicMediaelement, page2mediaelent = publicMediaelement . . . pageNmediaelent = publicMediaelement.  I cannot afford to download the same wmv video n times.

SharePoint 2010 Workflow - Creating multiple tasks

I'm working on a SharePoint 2010 workflow which will assign multiple tasks to a list of users.

I'm using the Multiple Tasks webcast from Scot Hillier as a guideline
http://www.shillier.com/archive/2010/08/04/Creating_Multiple_and_Parallel_Tasks%20_in_SharePoint_2010_Workflow.aspx, but I cant' get the workflow to work.

I've created the custom activity to create a single task, and used a replicator to start the this custom activity for every user.
However, the sub-activities in my custom activity are not shown(as opposed to webcast).

 public class CreateSingleTaskActivity : SequenceActivity
    {
        public Guid SPTaskId = default(Guid);
        public string SPTaskOutcome = default(String);
        public SPWorkflowTaskProperties SPTaskProperties = new SPWorkflowTaskProperties();
        public SPWorkflowTaskProperties SPAfterProperties = new SPWorkflowTaskProperties();
        public SPWorkflowTaskProperties SPBeforeProperties = new SPWorkflowTaskProperties();
        public Guid TaskStatusFieldId = new Guid("FCA4FCB5-503C-4e9f-AC62-CD79EB

Multiple Collect Data tasks for one item

Hi guys,

I am fairly unfamiliar with creating custom workflows in SPD, so was hoping you can point me in the right direct.

The scenario is that my users enter information into a list. As soon as an item is added, several tasks are sent out to different users across the company, asking them if they are "interested in the item". Some of them will respond Yes, other's No. After everybody has responded, the system should check if anybody has responded with Yes. If so, a new workflow runs. If not, a different workflow runs.

So I thought I need the Collect Data action to create multiple tasks, but then I realised that they don't run at the same time, but after each other, which is not what I want. I want all users to receive their tasks at the same time. So I guess my first question would be if this means I need to create a different workflow for each user? Or is there an easier way to Collect Data from multiple users?

The other question, related to the one above, is: how do I figure out when all users have completed their related tasks? If the tasks are created by several different workflows how do I trigger a new, conditional workflow, after completion?

Thanks for the help.

how do I create email reminders for multiple tasks with a secondary workflow?

Hi,

I need some advice regarding a issue I picked up during the creation of a secondary workflow to be used for email reminders. I created the workflows in sharepoint designer 2007.

Current situation;

I have a complex primary workflow that creates multiple tasks (about 9 tasks). Its important to note that these tasks get created in sequence. Therefore a task will only be created once the previous task has been completed (It's pretty much an approval workflow). Maybe I should also mention that I disabled the automatic task email notifications and replaced them with send email actions in my primary workflow (this should, however, not relate to my problem).

My Problem;

I created a secondary workflow to handle the email reminders. However, the email reminders only seem to work for the first task (task 1 ) created in the primary workflow. This is the steps I created;

1) First I checked that I'm going to send the reminders for the tasks created by the primary workflow, by verify the primary workflow name in a condition.

2) Once I verified the primary workflow I added the reminder time to the Created date of

SP2010 VS workflow: how to create multiple tasks

I need to create multiple workflow tasks in a while cycle.

I have put the "createTask" activity inside the "whileActivity" and specified the cycle conditions

But obviously i get an error when tryng to create two tasks with the same name, id and properties.

Is there a way to do this?

State Machine - Create AND wait for multiple tasks

After spending quite some time on this and researching every link I could find, I still am unable to make this work. I'd think this would be an every day case that many people encounter. Document approval with multiple reviewers.

But all the workflow examples I can find have one of two things in common. Either they are sequential and don't allow the workflow to revert to an earlier 'state/step' OR they are state machine but then only track one task at any point in time.

I need it to be a state machine since the workflow could go in circles between different groups of reviewers until they all agree. I need to be able in any given state, assign tasks to MULTIPLE users to review that document, and then also WAIT till ALL the users in that state have finished reviewing that document. Only then can it go to the next state and a different SET of reviewers. From there it might go back to the initial reviewers if they're not happy or it might move on to the next state.

I had tried using a replicator in the submit state to create multiple tasks for all the users (my replicator fired multiple times but only one task would get created). But then when I tried to create the second state to wait on all the tasks that were created, that was a whole other set of issues. I was also starting to go down the road of a statemachine triggering a bunch of sequentials but

assign multiple tasks to multiple users

Is there a way to create task list (or similiar maybe issues tracking list), then assign the entire list of tasks to a single user?  So if I were to add a new user to the site, I could assign a this list of Tasks to the user (Im a thinking like a templated custom list) for them to complete? I am using WSS 3.0.

I only see this as a 1 to 1 now, one task for 1 user.  I have seen where I can assign more that 1 user to a task, but the task is shared by the users.  I need the tasks to be assigned to each users separately.

Creating Multiple tasks in perticular state in State Machine Workflow

Hi Everyone,

I'm very new to workflow so forgive me if I'm asking stupid question.

Here is my scenario :-

Once the data got submitted to a list I have create task for different states(Like HRState, ITDepartment State etc etc) and each pf the state will have more than one task with different data(in terms of title,assigned to etc). That being said my question will be how I will accomplish these I read about replicator on many bolg but I'm not sure if I can provide different data for each task or not. Also I need to keep track if someone reject the task and come back to lets say HRState than based on that data I have to go to perticular task.

Please advise me to accomplish the task.

I'm working with Sharepoint 2010 and Visual Studio 2010.

Thanks in advance.

Setting Transparency color of Form disrupts video rendering

I have created irregular shaped media player application. I use WMP ActiveX control to play videos. To make form irregular shaped, I have put a background image on form and have set tranparency color to some color(color of edges of background image).

This works fine in Vista and Win7. But on XP Video screen flickers initially and then there is audio but no video. However if I move my form or minimize it, video screen will appear on monitor at the same location where it should have before moving or minimizing the form. The video appears but not on my form but on whatever was behind of my form.

Also if I disable the hardware acceleration or remove the transparency color change, the video problem will sort but edges of form will no longer be transparent. I understand this has something to do with hardware overlay(VMR7 used by WMP) in XP, but I am not getting whole picture.

Can anyone give some light on this?

Is there any other way to make irregular shaped windows form?

Connect to Outlook a Task list that has Tasks with Multiple users assigned

Using MOSS 2007 SP2 and Outlook 2007 SP2

I go to a task list that has multiple users assigned to a task.

I setup the connect to outlook for this list, and in outlook I only see the tasks that have a single user assigned.

None of the multiple user assigned tasks are visable, is this how it is supposed to work?

While Activity for creating multiple tasks not working

I am using a while activity for creating multiple tasks for a workflow. The code is executed fine and the task is created when the loop runs only once. But when the loop runs twice or more, only one task is getting created. Also the WF status shows as Error Occured.

All I want to do here is create multiple tasks (no of tasks depends on an entered column value) for the same user. Is it posible to use 'while' in this scenario? Or is there any other way to go ahead?

NB: I am using state machine workflow.
