"Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?

The page took too long to save. Yo ucan click "Cance", and then try to sae the page again. If  you click "OK", you might lose unsaved date.

Press OK to continue, or Cancel to stay on the current page."

Thanks for any help!

Error "List does not exist" trying to insert pictures or links from Content Editor WebPart

I have put a Content Editor WebPart on a page and I'm trying to insert a picture from the Rich text editor, but whenever I try this I get this error:

List does not exist.

The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user.

This also happens when inserting links. When I use Fiddler I can see that the error occurs somewhere in AssetPortalBrowser.aspx and It's likely that the last location used to insert pictures and links no longer exist. So the question is how do I reset the location to point to a list on the current site, or any other list for that matter? I tried deleting and adding the WebPart on the page without any luck. Typing in a valid link in the link text box or setting the attribute "DefaultToLastUsedLocation" to "false" in the call to AssetPortalBrowser.aspx did not work either. I read the solution at http://mossipqueen.wordpress.com/2008/08/08/assetportalbrowser-error-list-does-not-exist/ (de- and re-activate Office SharePoint Server Publishing feature) but the feature is not activated on my web. Does anyone have a tip on what to do? This happens on a live SharePoint environment so there may be some restrictions as to what I can

Display error when inserting table in Content Editor Webpart

I've got a MOSS 2007. I want to insert a table into the Content Editor Webpart using the Rich Text Editor. I am choosing "Insert Table" and the new window occurs. But I can't do anything.

The buttons in the format section are not enabled.

There are a lot of display errors. (I wanted to upload an image but I don't know where...) The display errors are pictures with the name "TRANS.GIF" lying in the images folder of the 12Hive. There are several of these images maybe to align the context.

To summarize:

  • I can't use the "Format"
  • There are disply errors (images) in the dialog
Can anybody help me?

Content Editor Webpart not working in web part page

I Have a CEWP, i have written jquery for displaying the same.It works fine when i do the following:

Site Actions --> Edit page -->Add a Webpart --> CEWP --> and in the Source control editor, i paste the jquery. My jquery does a calculation by comparing two values A and B in a list. If A is greater, one image is shown, if it is less another image will be shown. When the user clicks the image the list gets opened and on the change in the values the image will be changed. This works perfectly when i do the above.

But when i create a Webpart page, it gets created in the Shared Documents site. And when i add a web part and does the same thing, my CEWP is not showing the correct image.

Content Editor Web Part in default.aspx not copied over.

I have a CEWP with some content in the default.aspx page on one site, and I downloaded and uploaded the default.aspx page to another site collection. But when I display the default.aspx page in the browser the CEWP is not there anymore.

Is the CEWP detached from the default.aspx page and must also be copied over to the new site collection? If so, then where is the CEWP stored?

Thanks for any help.

Problem with Content Query Webpart and Custom Userfields

Dear Community, I am using Sharepoint 2007's content query webpart to access content types from 2 lists each contained in a different sitecollection. To achieve this, I used this tutorial: http://www.heathersolomon.com/blog/articles/CustomItemStyle.aspx. The tutorial worked great. By using the property CommonViewFields and modifing the XML Stylesheets accordingly, i could access almost every field. Even User Fieldtypes like editor and author were accessible by adding (editor,User) or (author,User) to the CommonViewFields property. But when I tried to access the custom made userfield "Username" in the same way (adding Username,User to the property), the webpart threw an error and couldn't be displayed anymore. When I changed it to Username,Text , no error occured but it naturally didn't show up, since it is the wrong fieldtype. I hope some of you can help me, since all my researches on this topic only brought up some more people with the same problem, but no solution to it. Thanks in advance, SoundofSilence

where does Content Editor store it's content?

I know this must be a pretty standard thing but I must have missed it. Where or How does the sharepoint content editor store the content placed in it? Does that data get stored in a property of the webpart? Like if I were looking at the webpart of a particular webpage document library item using SharePointManager 2007, What property would that data exist in?

Internet Explorer problems downloading files from IIS 6 - Response.AddHeader("content-disposition",

I'm retrieving a file from my DB, storing in a Byte[] variable. In my local development environment, Visual Studio 2008, the file download works great in all browsers (IE, Firefox, and Chrome). But, when running on external IIS 6.0 web server, IE 7 and IE 8 browsers will not properly download files: the indicated file name seems to default to my ASPX page "[template].aspx" , not the file name that I specify in the Response.AddHeader(...).  FIREFOX and CHROME download all files, all MIME types JUST FINE with the correct file name. This problem occurs only in IE? (Several clients all tested with same results.) Is there a disconnect between IE and IIS 6.0 in how the response headers are interpreted? Is there another header attribute needed for IE?My code:    Response.Clear();    Response.ClearHeaders();    Response.Buffer = true;    Response.ContentType = f.MimeType;    Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=\"" + f.Name + "." + f.Extension+"\"");    Response.Charset = "";    Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache);    Response.BinaryWrite(f.File);    Response.End();Thanks.

Content Editor Web Part Title Wrap

Hello! I have run into a strange problem with wrapping the web part titles for the content editor web part. The classes appear to be the same for both the content editor titles and the list web part titles, however, the styles I applied ( word-wrap: break-word !important; ) and ( white-space: normal !important; ) are only working on the list web part titles. These web parts are in zones with a fixed width, and cells with a fixed width, but anytime a content editor part is added (with a long title) it still blows out the zone instead of wrapping the text. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sharepoint Content query Webpart

hello all ,             i want to create a webpart, which should display HTML code. and i need to edit the HTML source code.. how can i do it in sharepoint and which project i need to choose to create this webpart

How do I turn off HTML validation in the Content Editor Web Part?

I'm fairly used to SharePoint 2007, where I could inject pretty much whatever I wanted into the CEWP, and among other things affect the page style or create div-based layouts. However, in SharePoint 2010, inserting code into the CEWP seems to go through a HTML validation process, which inserts and converts the original HTML code and ends up in incorrect results. How can I turn off this HTML validation stuff, or alternatively, is there any other way for me to inject HTML into a web part as I wish?

Dynamically Setting the property value FilterValue1 of the Content Query WebPart? Inline? codeblock?

I want to dynamically set the FilterValue1 property of a Content by Query to the querystring ID. I tried to do it with an inline embed FilterValue1="<%= Reponse.Write .. but no luck Without having to code my own webpart, any way to change the value with a small C# code block? How about with javascript? Thank you!

Problems with Master Page and content window

I have a master page whose primary function is to allow a user to search for a Credit Union.  They can either search by ID # or search by name.  With processing this page it will set session variables which in turn I would hope would be passed along to the content window. Within the content window I am displaying the information that will be needed on that particutlar page, if no record is found then it will allow them to add.  I also need it to clear the fields in the content window if they go from one record with data to one without.  Now if a user types in the ID#, then it doesn't seem to have any problems populating the content window.  The problem comes when they try and search by name.  If more then one record is returned then it will populate a listbox.  Which then I would like a user to select the name they are searching for and then populate the search boxes as well as process the content window. The problem I seem to be facing is the Page Load on the content window.  Session variables don't seem to be set in time for the content window to have the variable available to it. Hopefully you can help me out.Masterpage.master.vb Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load 'ResetValues() Me._txtCUName.Attributes.Add("onchange", "if(document
