Scrollviewer with elements that loop

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 24, 2010    Points: 0   Category :WPF

1) Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to have a scrollviewer with elements that loop.

Let us say I have 4 items.

After scrolling from left to right you see something like this in order:

<item 1> <item 2> <item 3> <item 4> ... <item 1> <item 2>

Also currently I am using a StackPanel inside my scroller.

2) I also have another issue with scrollling... it seems when I click inbetween my images ( the items i have in my scroller), I cannot scroll. I have to directly click on the images to scroll.

3) Is there a way to snap these images whenever I scroll such that, the image closest to the center of the scroller will snap and enlarge in size.

Thanks for the tips :)

Microsoft's Collaborative Application Markup Language (CAML) Loop

discovered an interesting error recently while working with Microsoft's Collaborative Application Markup Language (CAML) that, surprisingly, had received no ink. Partly what surprises me about this is that the error may require you to rewrite large sections of your code if you haven't previously considered this SharePoint limitation. I'll start with some context, but first of all the error is:

How to use getElementById to get the elements in a form

There are many ways of accessing form elements, of which the easiest is by using the cross-browser W3C DOM document.getElementById method. Before we learn more about this method, it would be useful to know something about the Document Object Model (DOM), the concept of HTML nodes or elements, and the concept of containers.

Each time you load an HTML page, the web browser generates an internal representation of the page in the form of an inverted tree structure. Let us look at a simple form. We will use this form later to demonstrate the use of the getElementById method.

Need help in for each loop. i'm poor in for each loop. i wanna create a for each loop that can give me 2 value in each rows.

i create a for loop.. but is a mulitple rows. Anyone can help ?

Dim x As Integer, y As Double, x1 As Integer

        Dim d1 As TimeSpan

        temp_sec = ac.getTempTime(ddl_date.SelectedValue, ddl_id.SelectedValue)

        For I As Int32 = 0 To temp_sec.Tables(0).Rows.Count - 1
            If I Mod 1 = 0 Then
                ' To prevent list out of bounds
                If I + 1 < temp_sec.Tables(0).Rows.Count Then
                    d = temp_sec.Tables(0).Rows(I).Item(0)
                    prevD = temp_sec.Tables(0).Rows(I + 1).Item(0)
                    d1 = prevD - d
                    x = d1.TotalSeconds
                    x = x1 + x
                    y = temp_sec.Tables(0).Rows(I).Item(1)
                    list.Add(x, y)
                    x1 = x
                End If
            End If

Command Management: Use Design Patterns to Simplify the Relationship Between Menus and Form Elements

In Windows Forms applications, similar commands, such as those in a menu and their counterparts on a toolbar, are not automatically related. They don't fire the same event or run the same handler routine. Yet code that allows the same or similar user commands to fire the same code simplifies development.This article describes the principles of command management and why it's important to have functional commands that are not exclusive to any one UI element. In order to provide an MFC-like command management infrastructure, a design pattern is developed and applied as a series of C# classes.

Loop for every record

Hi guys.

I've got a simple table with an ID, a NAME and an ARCHIVE booleen.

I want to write piece of code that goes through each record and...

If ARCHIVE is false and a folder hasn't been created for it, it will create it and go to the next record.

If ARCHIVE is false and a folder has been created for it, it will do nothing and go to the next record.

If ARCHIVE is true the whole folder will be moved to another folder and go to the next record.

When all records have been checked, the code will end.

I was thinking of using a SQL count to find out how many records there were and making a loop that starts at record one. runs the folder checking/creating/archiving code then +1 until the loop ends but I couldn't work out how to assign the query results to an integer...

I'm not asking for anyone to write the code. I think I probably already know 80% of the theory behind doing this I just can't glue it all together. I know you can do the folder stuff with the System.IO Directory Class...

Anyway, all input is welcome. Cheers guys!

(MVC & jQuery) Can't Add Datepicker to List of form elements

I'm still relatively new to jQuery (mostly finding things I need online and making simple changes). I have the following piece of code in my MVC app to render a partial view

<% int i = 0;
   foreach (var item in Model) { %>

        <td valign="top" style="border: none;">
            <%= Html.TextBox("MeetingList[" + i + "].Start", String.Format("{0:MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm}", item.Start), new { @style = "width: 120px;", @class="start" })%>
        <td valign="top" style="border: none;">
            <%= Html.TextBox("MeetingList[" + i + "].End", String.Format("{0:MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm}", item.End), new { @style = "width: 120px;", @class = "end" })%>

And I've tried the following to grab each of those 'MeetingList[...' items and add a datepicker to them,

        $(".start").each(function(index) {
            var $temp = $('#MeetingList[' + index + '].Start');
}); });

config.web httpHandlers add and remove elements for ajax

I'm using an autocomplete contol of ajax toolkit. Yesterday a user found that it had stopped working (it wasn't generating the list as you type letters in the textbox). After hours of troubleshooting, I found that in web.config <httpHandlers>, this line -- <remove verb="*" path="*.asmx" /> was placed after the <add> line like this:

<add verb="*" path="*.asmx" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
<add verb="*" path="*_AppService.axd" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
<add verb="GET,HEAD" path="ScriptResource.axd" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler, System.Web.Extensions, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" validate="false"/>
<remove verb="*" path="*.asmx"/>

I fixed the problem by removing the <remove> line, but it seems I can also fix the problem by placing the <remove> line b

Loop with DataReader

Hi.  I am having a really hard time with this code trying to loop through a datareader, and then enter the data into another table.  The logic is that I get 2 columns path and document_no from an Oracle Database.  I then need to check if the file in the path column is a valid path.  If it is not valid, it should be inserted into a SQL Server 2005 database.  My code is below, can anyone help?  I'm getting a headache from it.  If any further info is needed just let me know.  Thanks.

Do While oraReader.Read()
                path1 = oraReader("Path")
                docno = oraReader("Document_No")
                If (System.IO.File.Exists(path1)) Then
                    sqlCmd = New SqlCommand("INSERT INTO CHECKLINKS1 (DOCUMENT_NO) VALUES (@doc)", conn)
                    sqlCmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@doc", docno)
                End If

Failure to reliably iterate through all elements of a COM Collection from C# .NET 4.0

In C#, .NET 4.0, I am making a call to a COM DLL to return a collection object. A foreach loop steps through each element of the collection. In the loop, a new .NET object is created for each element of the COM collection. The new object is added to a new .NET collection. This works fine in the development environment. In a deployed system, is works correctly most (about 90%) of the time.  However, sometimes (about 5% of the time) the foreach loop finds no items in the COM collection. Other times (also about 5%), it finds the first 2 or 3 or ... N items.  Somehow, the enumeration interface exposed by the COM object is failing. Here is a code snippet from the COM Object, which is called NameList.  NOTE that the VB6 cls file was opened in a text editor to show the class and method attributes. I'm currently experiencing a spinloop wait type with command of Unknown Token. The issue occured when I copied DB filed from another server and attempted to attach it -using the SSMS wizard - to the affected DB. The attach failed due to an OS permission error but the database engine - for no clear reason - mounted the DB in a Recovery/Read Only mode; the transaction did not rollback. This rogue DB cannot be altered, dropped, detached, etc and KILL command fails against the culprit SPID. In the DB log there is a stack dump at Location:  "logmgr.cpp":5527, * Expression:  !(minLSN.m_fSeqNo < lfcb->lfcb_fSeqNo). Serialization error in a for each loop

I have a for each loop in a 3.5 workflow. This takes a list if criteria to build a query string to call a Secure Webservive necesitating the use of a certificate. I load the certificate further up stream and pass it as a dependency property. The process returns a serialization error for the certificate. How do I avoid this error?  Thanks!
