server side does not save data when using POST data to another URL using WebRequest

 I am using a IIS 7.5 on Windows 7. I have a simple application that uses System.Net.WebRequest to POST data to another URL (in fact, the server side URL is on my local computer and it is hosted in IIS 7.5).

  1.  The problem is the server does not save data from client although on the client side codes when I debug and I see the OK message return from the code line

   response.StatusDescription; // this has value of "OK"
2. How can I debug the server code side where to receive the request from client side who posts the data ?

The following is the codes for client who posts data using System.Net.WebRequest, and codes for server side who received posted data to save to database.

Client side codes: // also run on my local computer

public string PostIntegrationXml(XmlDocument xmlSubmitDoc)

Zip Your Data: Using the Zip Classes in the J# Class Libraries to Compress Files and Data with C#

Zip compression lets you save space and network bandwidth when storing files or sending them over the wire. In addition, you don't lose the directory structure of folders you Zip, which makes it a pretty useful compression scheme. The C# language doesn't have any classes that let you manipulate Zip files, but since .NET-targeted languages can share class implementations, and J# exposes classes in the java.util.zip namespace, you can get to those classes in your C# code. This article explains how to use the Microsoft J# class libraries to create an application in C# that compresses and decompresses Zip files. It also shows other unique parts of the J# runtime you can use from any .NET-compliant language to save some coding.

Read data from BLOB field and write to sharepoint list

Hi, I want to read the data from BLOB field and write it into sharepoint list item. Please provide some pointer to archive above objective.   Thanks in Advance.

Not always prompted for read-only or EDIT mode, when opening files with IE7, Sharepoint 3.0

Hello Everyone,   We use Sharepoint 3.0 and when I click on a document I get a pop up prompt that asks me whether I want to open the file in READ-ONLY or EDIT mode.   I use a machine with XP Pro that is running IE7.   A user called me today, also running IE7, and when he clicks to open a Sharepoint file he gets a different prompt - a simpler one that just offers OPEN or SAVE.   I don't care that his prompt looks different - the problem is that he is able to open the file, make edits, but then when he closes the file (using Excel) he isn't able to save his changes.   Excel only provides a save-as option for him.   This isn't a permission problem with his ID.   When I login to our Sharepoint 3.0 system as him, with his password (from my machine), I get the usual Read-Only / Edit prompt and when I open a file in EDIT mode I am able to save my changes with no problem.   Any thoughts on this?   Chris

SslStream.Read() - Returns invalid data

Hey,I am currently attempting to implement a multi-threaded C# socket, using SSL (.pem file/certification/private key combo) server using Visual Studio C# Express.I have successfully made the client application establish a connection, and send data, which appears in plain, de-crypted text on the server - this works.However, I am 'polling' the socket to see if data is available to read.Here is some code which is appropriate:----        public void Process(int threadId)        {            int BytesRead = 0;            try            {                Master.Log("BEGIN READ");                sslStream.ReadTimeout = 5000;                BytesRead = sslStream.Read(bytes, 0, bytes.Length);                Master.Log("READ " + BytesRead + " bytes");                if ( BytesRead > 0 )                {                   // process                }             } catch (IOException e) {                Log("Caught IOException: " + e.Message);                if (e.InnerException != null)                    Log("=========> INNER IOException: " + e.InnerException.Message);         }---- Here is some console output when running the application:---------LOG: Authentication successfulLOG: BEGIN READLOG: READ 140 bytesLOG: [Thread 0] [Client 1] [Address] Client.ProcessDataReceived()Text received from client: Testing
