Project Deployment / WSPBuilder

Hello, We're following the tutorial at http://www.thesharepointblog.net/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?List=815f255a-d0ef-4258-be2a-28487dc9975c&ID=11 in order to create a feature to implement a custom master page and associated files.  It works great, up until we deploy it.  The feature is configured for a site level, but we get numerous errors when deploying. Our deployment process is: Use WSPBuilder to create the WSP Go to the site's solution gallery Upload and activate We've also tried putting it to a farm level and activating through management shell/Central Admin, and that doesn't work, either. Could anyone help us out with deploying a site project? Thanks!

WSPBuilder only including dll, not including list definition files etc

Hi All,

I have a project that contains:

2 Content Types

2 List Definitions

2 List Instances

Event Receivers for 1 List

Have grouped the List Instances and Definitions, so in my WSP View I have 3 features

   ContentTypes

   Lists

   Event Receivers

Now, when I build the wsp through VS 2008, it only includes the dll, it doesn't include any other files. So on deployment, none of my features get installed.

Any ideas?

WSPBuilder XSN Form Include

I have a workflow project with initiation infopath form in it.

My problem is that the very myinitform.xsn is not included in wsp package with WSPBuilder.

How should i make it to include this form?

Now i have form inside VS Project Folder and pointed it in feature.xml:

  <ElementManifests>
    <ElementManifest Location="elements.xml" />
    <ElementFile Location="myinitform.xsn"/>

Deploying the feature to a site (not globally) using WSPBuilder

Hi,

    I have developed an event handler for the task list as a feature, which overrides the ItemAdding,ItemDeleting and ItemUpdating event.
 I have even deployed the same on the server using the  WSPBuilder.

In the process of using the WSPBuilders, on creating the deployment folder I got a folder called "deploy"  in the "bin" folder.The deploy folder contains a folder, which again contains the deployment files like deploywithstsadm.bat, deploywithstsadmnocontenturls.bat, deploywithwspbuilder.bat  ......

For my project i used the deploywithstsadmnocontenturls.bat file, and deployed it. It gets deployed sucessfully.

The problem here is that the feature is getting deployed "Globally", how can i deploy it to a particular site like "ww.testsharepoint.com". ??????

Code behind file controls not defined/recognized when using WSPbuilder in Visual Studio 08

I am in the process of adding my custom aspx pages to the LAYOUTS folder(a folder I created) in a WSPbuilder solution in VS08. The problem I am having is when I build the solution it fails because the controls(Load, Textboxes, dropdown lists,etc) in the code behind file for the custom aspx pages say they are not defined. They all have a blue squiggly line and I get over 100 errors. Does anyone know what to do to get the WSP to recognize the code behind pages. Is there a setting or something I am missing.

WSPBuilder for VS2008

I have a very general question as I am new to SharePoint and also have no background in IT.

I am trying to create a list in sharepoint using WEPBuilder and VS C# 2008.

I try to create new project in wspbuilder, but it does not shows up under templates.  I have installed it and tried to run it too, but it seems that WSPBuilder was in some earlier version and when VS2008 try to convert it, it gives errors. (it says conversion failed).

Please Help.

Thanks

Installing WSPBuilder

I downloaded the WSPBuilder 1.06 from codeplex and installed it but although it showed that installation is successfully completed but nothing added to my visual studio 2010, I did it more times but didn't work, finally I decided to add "Item templates" and "Project templates" to root of visual studio manually,and then after I created a blank Feature to wsp project, it didn't work,no *.wsp file was created in my project root...

what should I do?

I use sharepoint 2010 and windows server 2008.
