To make a long story short, I'm trying to modify an old Powerbuilder 6.5 application (written in the mid-90's) to work with SQL Server 2008. PB 6.5 was created around the time of SQL Server 6.5, which used a network connectivity protocol called 'dblib' (a key file is called NTWDBLIB.DLL). At some point, Microsoft stopped distributing the dblib client connectivity drivers, but I'm told that the latest versions of SQL Server still support it (for now). PB 6.5 will only use the old dblib interface.
Can someone point me where I can find a downloadable the 'dblib' SQL Server Client library package for Win x86? I believe Microsft stopped distributing it after SQL Server 2000.
