Any help would be great!!

Hello, just wanted to ask a question about SSIS and SharePoint, any input will be greatly appreciated.... did search the forum but could not find anything....
So basically we have a SQL Server DB with the metadata ONLY, WITHOUT the related files(doc/ppt/pdf..etc) which should've been in the DB and they are on a separate web server inside folders. Each row in the DB has a key (column) which matches the related
folder's name, so for row with ID #112, there's a folder named ID112 on the web server with the relevant files inside. There could be more than 8+ files for one folder.
Now, I think it is possible but just wanted to double check, would it be possible to use SSIS and some kind of a script to get the metadata inside the SQL DB AND the related files inside those folders, combine & relate them and
upload them into SharePoint as a custom list with file attachments? would they display the attachment normally (like the paperclip icon in a sharepoint list...etc) I wonder if anyone has tried this...
Any guidance, thoughts, suggestions for other solutions, inputs will be great!!! Thank you!!
I have 2 SQL 2005 servers with separate SSRS installs. Using SSRS on Server 1, I am trying to save a report that I built using Report Builder. The report is being built from a report model on Server 2. When I try to save the report, I get
an error....Unable to bind datasource to report.
The data source may might not be accessible from the location where the report was saved.
The report was saved to "...folder/Report2".
The data source is "/Models/xxxxx".
You will no longer be able to run the report until this problem is fixed
The item '/Models/xxxxx' cannot be found. ---> The item '/Models/xxxxx' cannot be found..
Thoughts on how to get around this?
I have several apps written in VB.net 2003. these are connecting to SQL Server 2000. What do I need to do to host the data on SQL Server 2008.
I have a MOSS 2007 WFE that on a VMWare virtual machine that has extreme lag. The SQL backend is reporting no issues. Just accessing the VM to move around in the OS (start, run, etc) takes 2-5 minutes, and as a result the users are seeing extreme
delays in accessing pages, search results populate 30+ secs rather than sub-second, if at all, clicking links take forever to respond, if at all, etc.
i'd like to move the a new VM because attempting to work in that VM is maddening. Whats the proper procedure to migrate all the pertinent configs etc for the WFE to another machine? NOTE: The second VM has been created and already has a
different name and IP.
I developed one project with compatible to ie6. now i want to convert that project to compatible of ie8 . what is the solution?
If any body know please let me know..
