Workflows: new to SP and looking for a buddy to share experience with.

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 22, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

I am interested in working with workflows and InfoPath forms. Would anyone like to buddy up with me and share information? I'll share what I have learned so far with you as well. Specifically today, I need to know if you can use custom workflows with the Issue Tracking Module - or do the custom WF's only work on a "list"? I am not able to get that to work. I can only get the 3 state workflow to work with it. You may contact me directly if interested at kayogrady@vivagroup.com. Thank you, Kay

Linq: how to share parameters between lambda expressions ?

When using Linq to objects, you will quickly feel the need to pass some parameters from a method to another but it's not so easy because each Linq method is not calling the following one. In a Linq sequence, each method is using the result computed by the previous one. So, local contexts are not visible from one method to another.
The compiler is using two technical different ways to let parameters go out of a method.

SharePoint 2007 Workflows - Things to Consider Before You Start

SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) utilizes the Workflow Foundation (WF) to enable workflows on lists and content types. But before you start doing cartwheels there are few things you should know before you get started. The experiences I'll be discussing are not from book smarts but from building real MOSS solutions that are in production today.

Download and Share Visual Studio Color Schemes

The good news is that Visual Studio allows you to completely customize the editor background and text colors to whatever you want - allowing you to tweak them to create the experience that is "just right" for your eyes and personality. You can then optionally export/import your color scheme preferences to an XML file via the Tools->Import and Export Settings menu command.

Workflow Services: Visual Design of Workflows with WCF and WF 4

The .NET Framework 4 makes it easier than ever to implement WCF services using WF. We'll demonstrate just how easy it is by modeling a long-running, durable and instrumented workflow based on a real-world business case without having to write any code.
