I've read about Document Converters in Sharepoint, and using xslt and xml mapping.
What is the best way to convert InfoPath form with data in sharepoint form library (in xml format) to Excel format?
And how to do it?

I have an interesting issue while deploying a VSTO enabled form today. For
some odd reason while performing stsadm -o verifyformtemplate -filename
foobar.xsn, it returned a "FatalError : The form cannot be converted because
it was designed for a later version of InfoPath Forms Services.".
Has anyone else tried deploying a InfoPath 2010 form with managed code in a
MOSS environment?? I'd hate to go back to InfoPath 2007, I love the new
How can I display the ID of an InfoPath form after I have submitted it to my doc library in SharePoint. In other words I want to display the ID the next time I open the form (ie after the first save) as well as in the doc library in a view.
Want to know how to Get or Set the Version for the new/existing InfoPath Form 2007 in the SharePoint Form Library. Actually I am submitting InfoPath Form to SharePoint Form Libraries on the fly. Want to set the Version of new form to 1.0 and
then increment by 0.1 every time when the user edits and save the form back to the form library. When the existing form is opened for editing, I need to get the current latest version of that form in the form library.
It is very urgent. Any help or pointers for this requirement would be appreciated. If anyone of you have handled such scenario in your projects, please share the code snippet with me.
Thanks for your help in advance.
It would be great if anyone of you answer my question.I have an info path form built in 2007 and published it to share point as a document library. My requirement is i should not
allow two instance of the same Form to be opened at the same Time.I mean if you open a form from Share point and If you try to open the next one without closing the previous Form,it should give an alert to user saying that the "Form is already Opened".
I tried like having a Boolean variable which is by default false. If i try to open for the 1st time it should make it as true and for the next time if we refer to that variable and make an alert. But it dint work. Please let me know by anyway i can do this
task.Your help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
I have an infopath form that has a field that matches values in a SharePoint List. In the SharePoint List I have two fields, One is email and the other is the field I am trying to match on. When the form is submitted I want to take that field from the form
and compare it to the SharePoint list and return the email that is associated with that list item. Can this be done?? I appreciate any assistance. Thank you.
When I try to reopen an InfoPath 2007 form from the SharePoint site (InfoPath Form Deployed on SharePoint Form Library), I got the following error message:
Hi Sharepoint Experrts,
I'm trying to develop InfoPath 2010 forms that use External Lists that have been created in Sharepoint Server 2010. I have problems when testing the forms because access is denied to the external lists.
When I try deploying the forms to the sharepoint site, I cannot upload the form template because it says I have to be a member of the local administrators group. However, I'm running the administrator account used to install and setup sharepoint on
the Windows 7 development machine I'm using.
I also tried loading the InfoPath Data Connections to a data connection library on my Sharepoint site... I can see the files when I login to the site but when I try creating a New form from a Data Connection File, I get an error message "This location does
not contain any data connection files with the appropriate settings". What ARE the appropriate settings?
I'm just really confused about this because I cannot seem to be able to build forms that use data connection files loaded onto a Sharepoint site or central server....
I appreciate any help I can get!
I have a form library, which is allready having nearly 200 forms. Now i need to promote some more infopath 2007 form fields to sharepoint 2007 list column. But after promoting and re-publishing the infopath template, newly promoted columns
does not show any value. Please suggest me how to fix this problem?
Work around :- If i just open a form and save it back, newly promoted field(Sharepoint library column) is displaying correct value. But this would be a tedious task if it has to be done for nearly 200 forms.
I have a sharepoint 2007 site that is accessed via 2 different urls.
When I browse the outside url and navigate to the InfoPath form library I created, I don't see the "New Document" button. If I browse to the same library using the Internal URL, the button appears as expected. what do I need to do to get the button to display?
I thought it might be a permissions issue because users need "contribute" in order to create a "New" instance of the form. I checked the permissions from the outside URL and everything seems correct.
Externally, the site uses an ISA server and Forms Authentication to authenticate visitors via https, Windows server 2008 and the Sharepoint Moss 2007 backend.
I have an InfoPath web-enabled form in MOSS 2007, that is integrated with a K2 blackpoint process for an approval workflow.
Once the form (a Purchase Order request form) has been approved in the K2 workflow process, I switch the form view to a "print-friendly" view for the requestor to view from the browser. However, now I need to go one step further with this scenario:
1) I need to somehow insert/embed an image with the scanned-in signature of the approver (likely stored in a SP doc library) at the signature line section of my form. Also, what are the security requirements for storing such images, but not granting
all users access to these (e.g. only services accounts that need to access this for embedding into the form, etc.)?
2) Then I need to convert this final "print-friendly" view of the form (with the signature image) to a PDF document so that I can store it in SharePoint (and email it to the requestor using K2's email event capabilities).
Can anyone help me with a solution to both of these requirement, or point me to some resources for this (even 3rd party components are open-game).
