how to get the text of selected checkbox from asp.net checkboxlist control using jquery

I have asp.net checkboxlist control that bounded to a data source so the number of items in the control are different from one to to another time.

I have this function:

     $('#<%=chkListGroups.ClientID %> input:checkbox:checked').siblings('label').text();

this function will return all texts for all selected items in the control as a one string.

 I'm looking for a way that when I check a check box from the ckeckboxlist control will return only last checked checkbox.

this code :

$('#<%=chkListGroups.ClientID %> input:checkbox:checked').last().siblings('label').text();

returns last checked item for example if I checked second will return
second item then when I checked fifth item will return fifth item but
if now when I check third item will return fifth item so it is always
returning last item checked in the list and I'm looking to

Please advice me how to do this using jquery.

Align spans vertically and horizontally inside a div

This question is not really about ASP.Net, but since almost all ASP.Net developers know css, I am sure someone will have answer. I have the following html and inline css:

<div id="container" style="height: 34px; width: 100%; border:1px solid #333">
<span id="largeText" style="font-size: 22px">Large text</span>
<span id="smallText" style="font-size: 12px">Small text</span>

I want to
(1) Vertically align both largeText and smallText in container div
(2) Horizontally largeText will be attached to the left border of container div  and smallText will be attached to the right.

Please help

How can I align Left the text into a Button?

How to align text to top position on Ribbon buttons?

Hello SharePoint Experts, I have a custom masterpage which is derived from v4.master and it uses the default SP Foundation 2010 Ribbon. As you all know,the default Ribbon buttons such as New Document,Upload Document,Alert Me,etc, have text at the bottom below the icons. Ribbon buttons such as CheckOut,CheckIn,etc have their text aligned to the right of the icons. My requirement is to have all the text on Ribbon groups and buttons aligned to the top such that the image is below the text.(By default it is the other way round). I tried manipulating the CMDUI.XML file located at 14\TEMPLATE\GLOBAL but no use. I also tried overriding the Ribbon CSS(from COREV4.CSS) but it was of no use as well. Does anyone have inputs on how to get this done? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.Regards, Gautam Kaikini, MCTS WSS 3.0 Application Development.

Problem extracting the middle characters of a text string

I need to extract a portion of text from one field and put it in another field and I am having trouble with the syntex.  I am doing this with an sql select statement in asp.net.

I can select the left most characters of the field (SELECT  BatchNumber, LEFT(BatchNumber, 3) AS Expr1 FROM  DonorHistory) or the right most characters of the field (SELECT BatchNumber, RIGHT(BatchNumber, 3) AS Expr1 FROM DonorHistory) but I cannot select characters from the middle of the field.  I expected that to be able to use a statements such as "SELECT BatchNumber, mid(BatchNumber, 3, 2) AS Expr1 FROM DonorHistory" but this statement gives me an error.  I also tried using middle in place of mid but that did not work either.

What am I doing wrong?

Align text in label and radiobuttonlist

I have an asp label and asp radiobuttonlist on the same line and need to get the text to align.  I understand the rbl renders as an html table.  The table appears to have spacing around the td elements, which pushes the text down.

Here's my code and CSS.  How can I get the text to align in a way that will work across browsers, text size and resolution settings?

AutoCompleteStringCollection for text box in DataGridView 2.0

I have been searching for a way to have autocomplete in a DataGridTextBox
object. There does not appear to be an obvious way to do this like you would
for a TextBox outside of a grid using the AutoCompleteCustomSource. Any
thoughts on how I can add this collection? :)

Built-in Functions - Text and Image Functions in SQL Server

Text and image functions operate on TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types. These data types are deprecated with SQL Server 2005 and should be replaced by VARCHAR(MAX), NVARCHAR(MAX) and VARBINARY(MAX) when possible. Alternatively you can also consider storing large string values using XML data type. Text and image functions are nondeterministic.

Future versions of SQL Server will not support TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types. Columns with TEXT / NTEXT data type do not support commonly used string functions such as LEN, LEFT, RIGHT, etc. Furthermore, due to the large size of TEXT data you''re likely to see performance issues if you store such data in the database. However, at times you can''t help but use the TEXT / NTEXT / IMAGE data types (for example when supporting 3rd party databases when you cannot change the schema) - this is when text and image functions come in handy.
