Window.Open in AJAX Accordian Panel Opens Link in Same Window

I'm using the following span to open a page in a new window. What is INCREDIBLY odd is that it is exactly the same code from three different pages, but the first refuses to open in a new window. The only difference is that the first example resides within an Ajax Accordian Panel so I suspect that it might be an Ajax related issue. Ideas? Does not open in new window.<span onclick="window.open ('http://[domainname]/Mercury/production/content/directory/DirectorySideBar.aspx','mywindow','width=271,height=498,scrollbars=no');">   Opens in new window<span onclick="window.open ('http://[domainname]/Mercury/production/content/directory/DirectorySideBar.aspx','mywindow','width=271,height=498,scrollbars=no');">   Opens in new window<span onclick="window.open ('http://[domainname]/Mercury/production/content/directory/DirectorySideBar.aspx','mywindow','width=271,height=498,scrollbars=no');">

Formview's control collection empty when placed inside an AJAX accordian content pane.

The following problem occurs:

I have an accordian content pane on my page holding a formview. At code behind I can iterate the control collection of the content pane using FindControl and find the actual formview control. However it seems that when a formview is placed inside an accordian pane the formview itself looses it's control collection items.

So my problem is at codebehind I can get the FormView control, but it's control collection is empty, when placed inside an accordian content pane.

Using recursive find control function also doesn't help since there are no more items.

Embed Youtube inside Ajax Html Editor- problem

When inserting a simple embed of youtube inside the ajax editor, on firefox and chrome problems occur. On the other hand on internet explorer 8 everything works fine. I found this solution http://www.nopcommerce.com/boards/t/4228/bug-in-ajax-html-editor.aspx .

My question is where do I find the DesignPanel.pre.js ?

AJAX rating control on DataRepeater problem

I am using a DataRepeater control to display records from a database. I have placed an AJAX rating control in the repeater. The control works fine for the first record in the data repeater but it does not work for the rest of the records. The problem is that the control renders fine on the screen but I cannot click it - the mouse changes when hovering over it, but the control does nothing, not even when I click it. The first item works ok though. Any ideas what could be the problem?

 Thanks a lot

Ajax Control Toolkit problem

I have been trying over a week to make ModalPopup work. Still can't understand how to do it. Can somebody help me? Actually, I didn't find a way to use ANYTHING from the Ajax Control Toolkit.I want to put a ModalPopup with the Toolkit 4 in the Log In of this file:<%@ Master Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="Site.master.cs" Inherits="WebApplication1.SiteMaster" %> <%@ Register      Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit"      Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit"      TagPrefix="ajaxToolkit" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en"> <head id="Head1" runat="server">     <title></title>     <link href="~/Styles/Site.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />     <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="HeadContent" runat="server">     </asp:ContentPlaceHolder>     <script runat="server"> </script> </head> <body>     <form id="Form1"

simple wfc and ajax problem

Good day,I wrote a very basic hello world wfc/ajax solution.C#public string sayHello(string name)    {        return "Hello " + name;    }JS:function go() {            tempuri.org.IService.sayHello("John", OnSuccess());        }        function OnSuccess(r) {            document.getElementById("result").innerHTML = r;        }All the plumbing is pretty much what all the dev sites say...but I am getting a curious result. If I put a break in OnSuccess and in sayHello functions. The onSuccess is hit before the sayHello - both are hit though so the wfc seems to be working its just that the onSuccess is being called straight away rather than after the return from the server.Help appreciatedKalCODE:<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server">

Ajax problem with IIS

I'm having a problem with a AJAX call that works against the VS development server but not against IIS. The culprit is the .post statement in the function below. The function is called when a button is clicked. The index action is not called when run against IIS. From what I read I'm 99% sure it has to do with the URL "Beast/Index".  function runReportMessage() { $("#runReport").html("Running the report. Please wait"); $("#financialDataBtnRun").attr("disabled", "disabled"); $("#bottomBtnRun").attr("disabled", "disabled"); $("#btnRun").attr("disabled", "disabled"); $("#hiddenSubmit").val("Run Report"); $.post("/Beast/Index", $("#beastForm").serialize(), function(result) { window.open(result.message); $("#runReport").html(""); $("#financialDataBtnRun").removeAttr("disabled"); $("#btnRun").removeAttr("disabled"); $("#bottomBtnRun").removeAttr("disabled"); }, "json"); }  I tried using the Url.Action but with no luck. This is the code that I tried. It's not working on the VS Development Server either.  var myLink = &#

Accordian DataBinding problem

Hi Folks, I am having a strange problem with an Accordian control which is databound to a DataView. Each pane displays data about a person. The problem is that when a new person is added which sorts to one of the inner panes, it initially displays the content (but not the header) of the pane following. For example, if there are two panes, one for Andy and one for Mary, and I add a new person named Bill, then the headers will be Andy, Bill and Mary, as expected. But expanding Bill will show the info for Mary. Both Andy and Mary display the correct data.  If I leave the page and return, all displays correctly. I have stepped through the code, listed below,  and verified to my satisfaction that when I rebind the control, the data in the underlying datatable and dataview is correct. Any thoughts? Thanks. Dan   Here is the declaration of the Accordian control:  <cc1:Accordion ID="accPeople" runat="server"   Width="400px" Height="100" TransitionDuration="1" AutoSize="None"   RequireOpenedPane="false"  SelectedIndex="-1" ContentCssClass="AccCntnt" HeaderCssClass="AccHdr"   HeaderSelectedCssClass="AccHdrSlctd">  <HeaderTemplate>    <table >      <tr>

Problem with ASP.NET Ajax, Framework version 4.0 and the SeaMonkey browser...

I have a site that I'm upgrading to the 4.0 framework and I've come across an issue with asp.net ajax and the SeaMonkey browser. It seems like the script manager is not registering the scripts on the page in seamonkey (but it works fine in IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari). Now, if I change the user agent string in SeaMonkey to use the user agent string from any of those other browsers, it works fine. So I guess my question is does ASP.NET Ajax check the browser's user agent to determine what scripts to register and, if so, is it possible that SeaMonkey is not included in the list in the 4.0 framework (I should add that it's working fine in the 3.5 framework so it seems to me like this is a difference between the two framework versions).

Problem with AJAX - template

Hi, I tried something with the templates of the AJAX-framework, but I can't get it work:  <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title></title> </head> <body> <div id="container"> </div> <div id="template" style="display:none;"> Hallo {{ Vorname }} {{ Nachname }} <br /> </div> <script src="scripts/MicrosoftAjax.debug.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="scripts/MicrosoftAjaxTemplates.debug.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var person = { Vorname: "Christian", Nachname: "Kiefer" }; function pageLoad() { var t = new Sys.UI.Template($get('template')); t.instantiateIn($get('container'), person); } </script> </body> </html>   I get the error message: "Runtime error in Microsoft JScript: 'Vorname' ist undefined" Can someone see the error?   thanks   Christian

Ajax Session timeout problem

Hi,  I have some problems when using AJAX with updatepanels. I have an ASP.NET webapplication with a login that uses form authentication with the timeout set to 5 min. After 5 min of idle the site should be redirected to the login.aspx page. My problem is that after using the site for 5 minutes when clicking on contents inside an updatepanel I get a messagebox with the following error: A Runtime Error has occurred.Do you wish to Debug? Line: 4723Error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 12031  I think that it has something to do with the ajax updatepanel since when I remove the updatpanels this problem does not appear. Instead the site is redirected to login.aspx as expected. When searching on the problem on google I see alot of people having similar problem, but I haven't found suitable solution. Any suggestions?
