Earllier I posted a question about fetching stored procedure, function and assembly definitions from the database. I have been very busy trying to get this to work (and thank you for everyone around here who was willing to help me). I think it will be better
if I describe my situation in a little more detail.
Our clients have two options: (1) We provide then with a service managing their system remotely from our offices; or (2) We install our software (the software that we developed which is the same software we use to manage the systems) on site and they can
manage the system themselves.
I have been tasked with developing a module within out software suite which we will use to "serialize" the database structure to XML. This XML file can then be sent to a client 10 000 miles away and [s]he can then use it in another [similar] module in the
suite, locate the XML file on the local machine and compare their database with ours via the XML file.
So far I have managed to get the tables, columns, relationships, stored procedures and assemblies into the XML file. However, for a couple of days now, I have had much trouble with (1) getting function definitions out of the database to be able to write
