I am trying to migrate from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010. My company's current setup has seen very limited use because we have previously been a mulitple-content-management provider shop, but there are some content items we wish to re-use.
We also want to completely redesign our SharePoint setup to better suit the needs of our business, and the various departments.
My problem, therefore, is the seeming fact that you can apparently EXPORT granular backups down to the list and document library level, but when you try to IMPORT those lists, it gives you static.

In Central Administration | Backup and Restore | Granular Backup: Export a site or list, choosing whichever list from a site that has content in it.
in PowerShell, attempt the command Import-SPWeb -identity <url|GUID> -path <location of .cmp file created above> -force -verbose
I have so far been able to import the list data, and unfortunately the web forms etc. that come with it.
I have a problem with that because I believe the .aspx pages that are copied in cause massive errors (I can no longer view the site after import).
