FullTextSqlQuery unexpected result ( Sharepoint 2010 Foundation )

Hello All,I am trying write webpart related with search functionality in sharepoint and FullTextSqlQuery returns unexprected result. I couldn't understand why. In following code I am expecting results for default sharepoint ( sharepoint:80 ) website but it returns cental administration site search results.DataTable resultDataTable = new DataTable();FullTextSqlQuery FTQ = new FullTextSqlQuery(SPContext.Current.Site);FTQ.ResultTypes = ResultType.RelevantResults;FTQ.QueryText = "SELECT FileExtension, ContentClass, IsDocument, rank, title, path, author from scope() ";     ResultTableCollection resultTableCollection = FTQ.Execute();ResultTable resultTable = resultTableCollection[ResultType.RelevantResults];resultDataTable.Load(resultTable);In resultDataTable (path column) all rows related with Centeral Administration site. So, do you have any idea why?PS: I have tried following way to make sure it is runing on default web site;insted of "new FullTextSqlQuery(SPContext.Current.Site);", I put "new FullTextSqlQuery(new SPSite(http://sharepoint:80));" but result is same.

Understand sharepoint search result

i'm playing around with this code: http://weblogs.asp.net/jan/archive/2009/07/02/sharepoint-search-as-you-type-with-jquery.aspx

But i'm having a problem, with the result from sharepoint.

The result tells me, that there is (let's say) 76 hits.

But I have tried to find all 76 persons, and I only get 67.

Where is the last 9 persons ?

I hope this makes sense.

Question regarding result types in Sharepoint Enterprise Search

I'm trying to setup search scopes for content sources that are various shares on file servers in our domain, and the main things users will be searching for are autocad drawings and folders - searching by file/folder name. I've added the dwg file type to the list of file types included in the content index (we'll see if they show up in search results after the next incremental crawl), but I don't know how to add folders as a result type. Ideally, a user will be able to check off a box for Drawing/Folder/Word Doc/Spreadsheet/etc. right next to the text box where they enter the search term(s).

Any ideas?

Unique Permission on every individual item in a SharePoint Form Library can result in very slow perf

Hi All,

I just want to know that can sharePoint performance become slow by assigning unique permission on every individual item ? I have a form library in which there are hundreds of items and every item has unique permissions.

FYI: I read the following blogs and they are of the opinion that SharePoint performance can become horribly slow by assigning unique permissions

URL 1: http://sharepointbergen.blogspot.com/2008/09/sharepoint-2007-item-level-security.html

URL 2: http://weblogs.asp.net/erobillard/archive/2008/09/11/sharepoint-security-hard-limits-and-recommended-practices.aspx

Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated..

Using Copy.copyIntoItems() to upload a document to SharePoint, result indicates "Success" but docume

I'm encountering a problem uploading a modified document back into SharePoint 2007 (Trial).  SharePoint is not showing the update.  I'm using Axis2 1.5 and Java.

1) I've successfully checked out the Word doc using the Lists webservice, which marks the doc in SharePoint as checked out by me.
2) I've successfully retrieved the actual document using the Copy webservice.
3) After making changes locally, I'm attempting to upload the document back into SharePoint using the copyIntoItems method in the Copy webservice.

        CopyStub stub = new CopyStub();

        Options options = stub._getServiceClient().getOptions();
        options.setProperty(HTTPConstants.AUTHENTICATE, getAuthenticator());
        // If this next statement is uncommented, the call throws an exception with HTTP/1.1 415 Unsupperted Media Type.
        //options.setProperty(Constants.Configuration.ENABLE_MTOM, Constants.VALUE_TRUE);

        CopyStub.CopyIntoItems copyIntoItemsRequest = (CopyStub.CopyIntoItems) getTestObject(CopyStub.CopyIntoItems.class);

        DestinationUrlCollection destUrlCollection = new DestinationUrlCollection();
        // 11/5/2009 The following needs to be a relative URI.  Don't include http://<domain>.

So now the problem is: I need to categorize the responses based on the organization and department. That is i need to have a "view" where i can select a particular department and the responses for that particular department show up!

Changing the graphics on the home page of a SharePoint site

When you create a site in Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services by using the default Team Site template, the home page includes two default graphics. A Windows SharePoint Services graphic appears in the body of the page, and a picture of a house in a circle appears near the site title. You can change these graphics to customize your site. Changing the smaller graphic requires a Windows SharePoint Services compatible Web page editor

Displaying SharePoint lists in Web Parts

When you create a built-in or custom list in Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, Windows SharePoint Services creates a Web Part, a basic building block of a SharePoint site, to display that list. These Web Parts are called List View Web Parts. Windows SharePoint Services stores List View Web Parts in the site collection Web Part gallery. (The site collection Web Part gallery is the most central gallery of Web Parts for a work group. By default, the gallery name is the name of the site, such as "Our Team Site Web Part Gallery." )

Take a tour of your SharePoint site

What is a SharePoint site for?
A SharePoint site is a Web site that provides a central storage and collaboration space for documents, information, and ideas. A SharePoint site is a tool for collaboration, just like a telephone is a tool for communication, or a meeting is a tool for decision making. A SharePoint site helps groups of people (whether work teams or social groups) share information and work together. For example, a SharePoint site can help you:

Coordinate projects, calendars, and schedules.
Discuss ideas and review documents or proposals.
Share information and keep in touch with other people.

Six easy ways to customize your site using Web Parts in SharePoint

Becoming familiar with Web Part customization techniques gives you a range of page-customization choices. For example, you can customize your site's home page so that it displays the specific information that your team needs. You can rearrange the list items on the home page, add lists, and even change the images on the home page. As you become more familiar with Web Part Page customization techniques, you can build interactive Web Part Pages that makes the data in lists more dynamic and useful, and you can add new Web Parts that provide access to external data and Web services.

Working with SharePoint document libraries

Document libraries are collections of files that you can share with team members on a Web based on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. For example, you can create a library of common documents for a project, and team members can use their Web browsers to find the files, read them, and make comments. Users with Microsoft Office 2003 can check out and edit the files as if they resided on a local or network drive.

By default, your team Web site comes with a built-in document library named Shared Documents, which is listed on the Quick Launch bar as well as on the Documents and Lists page.
