                wrapper.ParameterCollection.Add("StudentObjectiveID", SqlDbType.Int).Value = objectiveid;
                wrapper.ParameterCollection.Add("SessionID", SqlDbType.Int).Value = sessionid;
                wrapper.ParameterCollection.Add("StaffID", SqlDbType.Int).Value = staffid;
                wrapper.ParameterCollection.Add("EnteredDate", SqlDbType.DateTime).Value = entereddate;
                wrapper.ParameterCollection.Add("Achievement", SqlDbType.NText).Value = Achievement;
                wrapper.ParameterCollection.Add("SessionStudentID", SqlDbType.Int).Value = session_student_id;
                wrapper.ParameterCollection.Add("ImageName", SqlDbType.NVarChar, 255).Value = imagename;

Accordion size issue

Hi I am using AJAX Accordion as side menu that i fill at the run time from database i create the panes and the menu items all at run time the problem here is that i cant make the accordion match the height of the page. i change the AutoSize to "Fill" and to "Limit" but still does not work as wanted it just fill based on the first opened pane so if first opened pane has 2 items then the accordion will take the height of the initial status as the accordion status any idea how to do that?   This is the script    <cc1:Accordion ID="SideMenuAccordion" runat="server" SelectedIndex="0" HeaderCssClass="accordionHeader" HeaderSelectedCssClass="accordionHeaderSelected" ContentCssClass="accordionContent" FadeTransitions="false" FramesPerSecond="40" TransitionDuration="250" Height="100%" RequireOpenedPane="true" SuppressHeaderPostbacks="true" AutoSize="Fill"> <Panes> </Panes> </cc1:Accordion>

Windows.Forms.Label size change issue

In a Windows Forms application developed with VB2008 Express, Label controls change size the first time the .Text property is updated.

On a Windows XP Pro SP3 system where the app was developed the labels retain the size set at design time.  On other systems, one also Windows XP, one Windows 7, labels shrink (all to the same size independent of content) the first time their .Text property is updated.  Labels that do not have their .Text property updated retain their design size.

Additional information:

The labels all occur within a FixedPanel of a SplitContainer.
Salient properties for the Label controls:
Anchor: Top, Left
AutoSize: False
BorderStyle: FixedSingle
Dock: None
Enabled: True
FlatStyle: Standard
Image: None
Locked: False
Margin: 0,0,0,0

WPF Application Size Issue

I'm planning to work on a desktop application using WPF. My biggest concern is, how to distribute this application to my users. It seems size of the framework 3.5 is near 200 MB. My users are not expected to download and deploy this much size from internet. Please suggest any alternative for this problem.

ISSUE: Cannot create a row of size which is greater than max 8060...Need Help

I have an issue related to maximum row size. I have a DW environment which has a table with multiple hierarchies and levels.

OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: Cannot create a row of size XXXX
which is greater than the allowable maximum of 8060. Errors in the OLAP
storage engine: An error occurred while the dimension, with the ID
of 'DATABASE', Name of 'DIMENSION' was being processed.
Server: The operation has been cancelled.

My current version is SQL Server 9.00.3257 (SP2 + CU 8). I would like to check if there is any upgrade available to fix this limitation (SQL Server 2005 SP3 / SQL Server 2008 SP1)....

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

How to go around the file size issue when uploading large files?

In my application the user uploads three files ( Resume, Cover Letter, Selection Creteria).

I want users not to upload more then 4 MB files, so In my web.confing file I have allowed max of 5 MB. <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="5000"/>. I did this so that I can validate the file and give user a message that they are trying to upload more then 4 MB file.

It all works fine if the user is only uploading resume. But if the user uploads all three files of size 4MB then my validation does not work and it goes to connection time out.

How can i handle the validation to check the file size of all 3 files?

Block size issue

I am not sure where exactly to post my issue, so i thoguht the general area would work for now.  Please let me know if I should post this somewhere else....here goes:

I have a SQL 2008 cluster on Windpows 2008 R2.  I had a new admin add the SAN drives and they were never configured for 64K block size as recommended.  Once the cluster was built, the SQL install was completed and installed to one of the SAN drives.  now we have to reformat all of the drives and make them 62k block size.

Is it possible to cut and paste the SQL directories to another drive, format said drive, then cut and paste the directories back?

if not...

Is there a recommended procedure or tool available?

Do i have to just move forward with a complete uninstall/reinstall of SQL server?

How do you set the LocalConnectionString Max Database Size property on the RDA object in C++?

How do you set the LocalConnectionString Max Database Size property on the RDA object in C++?

We have an C++ application running under PPC 2003. The SQL Server Compact edition 3.5 service pack 2 is installed.

We have successfully created a local database using the DBPROP_SSCE_MAX_DATABASE_SIZE property and set the size to 386mb.

The local database can be written locally to up to the Max Database Size.

When we perform a Pull operation with the RDA object the Pull fails when we set the Max Database Size property on the RDA LocalConectionString.

When we perform a Pull operation with the RDA object the Pull succeeds when we set only the Data Source property. But we can only Pull up to 128mb (the default size).

Reduce ASP.NET Page size and complexity using JQuery

This is my first post on asp.net blog. ASP.NET Ajax and JQuery are two different ajax framework. In this post I will show, how we can enhance gridview using ASP.NET Ajax and JQuery. I also compare the implementation of these frameworks. In next posts i will explain more about JQuery and ASP.NET Ajax and also tell you "How to combine the power of both framework". My Future post will related to ASP.NET and related frameworks.

Reduce Image Size

Detect Browser Screen Size??

Hi Everyone,  I need to detect the size of the user's screen for mobile devices (especially the BlackBerry). I've read a lot of pages that seem to refer me to the Request.Browser object, but I'm finding that this object doesn't have the correct values. For example, I have a BlackBerry and when I use the Request.Browser to get the screen size, it tells me it is 640x480. Well, I know it's not that big since an image of 300px wide just barely fits. Also, when I run on my desktop browser, it also says my screen is 640x480. I can assure you, it is not 640x480! ha!

  How does anyone reliably get the browser's screen size?? Do I have to revert to some kind of JavaScript? If so, where can I read more about it? Will it be any more reliable? Someone must have an idea about this. Thanks in advance!!

Obtain mobile device screen size

I am trying to get the screenHeight and width:

 // Get MobileCapabilities from current Request.Browser
        MobileCapabilities currentCapabilities = (MobileCapabilities)Request.Browser;
        // get a property of the browser
        Response.Write(currentCapabilities.ScreenPixelsHeight +  " <br>");
        Response.Write(currentCapabilities.ScreenPixelsWidth  + " <br>");

 but this is always show that the Height is 480 & the width is 640

I am trying on HTC with Opera Mobile 9.5

Any Advice?
