I am developing a site that uses the CreateUserWizard to allow a User to create a new account. This account is not authorized until I approve it and therefore does not automatically log the user in at that point, but there are two steps to the Wizard. The first step requests the standard account information: Username, Password, Confirm Password, EMail, Security Question and Security Answer. The second step asks for personal information common to a GuestBook or Forum: First Name, Last Name, Home Town, Home State, Website Address, and Signature. Upon completion, it sends an EMail to the new User with their information.
On ActiveStepChanged, we determine if we are on the Completed step and then perform some additional functions, such as adding the User to the Members Role. It then gets the personal information from the TextBoxes in Step Two and saves them to variables. A Profile is created using the ProfileCommon.Create Function and the appropriate values are stored in the Profile. The Profile is then saved.
The final step, and I haven't been able to determine where exactly this occurs in the process, is that an EMail is sent to the new User with their information using the SendingMail Event. In this event, I get the Username from the CreateUserWizard and load the MembershipUser.&nb
