I had installed VS 2010 Premium RC on my Windows7 machine and it was all going so well. I'd created a solution with some projects and was working perfectly happily. I was called onto another project but when I came back to VS2010 I had a problem. When I tried to open my solution I got an error "Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 has stopped working" and it invited me to Look on-line for a solution, or to Debug (pointless) or Close the program. I tried a few more times. Always the same. I thought of creating a new solution and importing the projects into it - the program closes down when you try to do anything at all. So I tried repairing it. No difference. I then tried Uninstalling and Reinstalling it. Aside from the fact that the dreaded message "Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 has stopped working" popping up at least ten times during uninstalling and reinstalling it, no further changes. I'm now in the process of uninstalling for the second time.
I'm not aware of any other changes to my system (updates etc.) and there are no missing service packs. The solution runs quite happily on a colleague's installation of VS2010 (installed from the same media, onto the same OS).
