I have a requirement to calculate the Web application idle time.
Say the user doesnt use the web application for 15 minutes, then a message needs to be displayed to the user.
How can this be done.

In my current system MOSS and windows 2003, I do not know where to see connection pool live time ? and Application pool live time?
How to keep live these for certain number of hours? Where can I change? Is it possible to keep minimum number of connection pool live always?
Thanks for help in advance.
A few of my clients are using XBAP application running over .net 4 client profile in IE8. The operating system they use is windows XP (service pack 2 or 3) on all their machines. We've had no issues during install of the .net framework or our XBAP application
but many of them are complaining that after keeping the xbap open for a long time their computer begins to slow down considerably. This specially happens when program is left open without using it for some time. On my own development system which is a windows
7 machine with full .net framework installed i haven't experienced such issue.
I checked for resource usage of the application but there is no significant increase in memory usage. The CPU consumption however becomes quite high, which I suspect is the reason for degradation of performance during these episodes. If this was a single
case i would have ignored it for some glitch on their system but this is happening on many machines and I suspect this has got something to do with .net framework on xp machines.
I don't see any reason for why this should be happening. Is there any documented bug, report related to this ? Are there any compatibility issues of .net 4 with other common programs running in xp? Do you have any idea on why
this could be happening ? What kind of data should i provide you s

I wish to acces my database using MSSMS at the same time that I am running my web application. When I tried to access my database with MSSMS I get the following error:
Failed to retrieve data for this request (Microsoft.SqlServer. Management.SDk.Sfc)
Unable to open the physical file "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\myapp\App_Data\aspnetdb.mdf".Operationg system error 32: "32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)". (Microsoft SQL Server, Error:5120).
What can I do to being able to view my database with MSSMS at the same time?
Thanks for your help,
I have a web application that is using a single page. This page has 2 multiviews and each one of them has around 10 views. Each of the views contain a grid and a form. My main problem is that when Switching views my application takes too much time (Around 5 seconds). I am using the three tier model though, that is; I have a Busingess Logic Layer and a Data Access Layer and I am using Object Data sources.
I am so confused about the main reason for the huge load time my website requires. In addition, I am not using any images within my views which might need high load time.
Please help me out in this
