I need to install SQL Server Enterprise Manager to run with SQL Server 2008 to define the email settings which will help me to send email through transact sql. Can anyone any link from Microsoft to download ?
Also, Is there any other way to define settings for SQL Email which should not include any further installation with the current SQL Server 2008 ?
We have a problem with one of our live production systems which runs in SQL 2000 Standard. The issue is relating to memory utilisation. We are upgrading to SQL 2000 Enterprise this evening in order to increase memory from 2GB. However I'm
a little concearned as I'm not sure if (In case of major issues) we could revert the SQL 2000 Enterprise database back to SQL 2000 standard.
In theory we will not need to do this, but I need to understand if this is possible for our rollback position.
Any help would be greatfully appriciated.

I can’t seem to find this in SQL Server Management Studio, does it exist somewhere or is there an equivalent way of doing it. Any

trying to install sql server2005 on a windows 2003 server box.
getting msg below at the sql server .ÃÂ i looked at other posts on trying to uninstallÃÂ SQL Native Access Client and norton antivirus.ÃÂ i could never find the snac on the add - remove programs and this server does not have a virus protection program yet.
here's the history of the installs on the server:
wanted to test a 2005 upgrade so:
ÃÂ 1) installed sql server 2000 then sp4 then restored some databases to it - all OK
ÃÂ 2) tried to upgrade to sql 2005 but ran into problems and left it at that.
had a disk drive crash on the d drive so lost the installs but not the operating system
when the drive was replaced, left alone for a while
then wanted to test a straight 2005 install
ÃÂ 1) removed the broken 2005 attempt
ÃÂ 2) removed the 2000
ÃÂ 3) installed 2005 and got the error on the subject line:

we have a SSRS report which was working till few weeks backs on all the ie and started to show Diagnose the Internet connection error on ie6 and permission denied on ie7. although the report is running fine on ie8 and firefox with same security settings.
There has been no recent changes done to the report. tried it through fiddler but gives a 200 status for http. IS also connecting to URL and is making connect to the DB. HAve tried to check the script and activex settings also and found nothing absurd which
can stop the functionality.I have tried reducing the security to low also but with success. Can someone please help.
We plan to upgrade existing sql server enterprise 2000 RTM to SP3a(Chinese Traditional). Since we want to keep all the data after upgrading, can we use the original database backup(RTM) and restore to new version(Sp3a) without any error?
P.S: The RTM database backup have only basic item such as table, storeproc, index, without any replication items.
Thanks and regards,
I can find all sql instances in the network in Enterprise Manager > connect > Network servers list.
How can I hide my instances to appear in the list or in the network?
In Project Server 2007 running with SQL Server, there is a script "eglobal.sql" which generates the file "Enterprise Global" :
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Servers\12.0\Sql\Project Server\CORE\1033\eglobal.sql.
But when I tried to load it in one of my servers with SQL Server 2000 (I didn't tried on SQL Server 2005), I got the error message:
"The file ....CORE\1036\eglobal.sql contains a long row, which exceed the 64 K limit."
So, how to run this script?
Thanks for your help
