Even though I use SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ UNCOMMITTED statement in my stored procedure, I can see IS locks being granted in SQL Server's Activity Monitor. Is this normal? From what I have read, when using READ UNCOMMITTED no locks should be
granted on any SELECT / JOIN statements within the stored procedure. The stored procedure is simple with a SELECT statement with couple of INNER JOINs, an UPDATE, and an INSERT statements.
Any help would be appreciated!
