Drag and drop images to form groups

My daughter is in kindergarten and the teacher asked me to help, I need to do a web page that will display images in one area, and allow them to be dragged to groups to categorize them, I guess I could add the needed number of panels for the groups but don't know about the dragging and dropping.

Any help greatly appreciated,

Making images available to NON-WPF applications (drag/drop) problem

Hallo: I am experimenting with drag and drop features, and in particular, with dragging images from my applications. The images are stored as BitmapImages and, when I start the drag event, I would like to fill the DataObject also with data which can be pasted also by other applications (such as, i.e. MS Word).

So, my code, for the time being, is:

BitmapeImage img;
///... some bitmapImage Initialization code...

/// Code Handling Drag event
DataObject myData = newDataObject();

myData.SetData(typeof(BitmapImage), img);

System.Drawing.Bitmap bmp = BitmapImageToBitmap(img);
myData.SetData(DataFormats.Bitmap, bmp);
myData.SetData(DataFormats.StringFormat, "Some String");

Where BitmapImageToBitmap is:

using Bitmap = System.Drawing.Bitmap;
using BitmapImage = System.Windows.Media.Imaging.BitmapImage;
using Encoder = System.Windows.Media.Imaging.BmpBitmapEncoder;

System Development Life Cycle

The Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a conceptual model used in project management that describes the stages involved in an information system development project from an initial feasibility study through maintenance of the completed application. Various SDLC methodologies have been developed to guide the processes involved including the waterfall model (the original SDLC method), rapid application development (RAD), joint application development (JAD), the fountain model and the spiral model. Mostly, several models are combined into some sort of hybrid methodology

Performance Tests: Precise Run Time Measurements with System.Diagnostics.Stopwatch

Everybody who does performance optimization stumbles sooner or later over the Stopwatch class in the System.Diagnostics namespace. And everybody has noticed that the measurements of the same function on the same computer can differ 25% -30% in run time. This article shows how single threaded test programs must be designed to get an accuracy of 0.1% - 0.2% out of the Stopwatch class. With this accuracy, algorithms can be tested and compared.

Reading and Writing Images From a Windows Mobile Database using UltraLite 10(C#)

Periodically I get a request for information on how to read and write binary data to a database running on Windows Mobile. If you search the Internet you can typically find examples that are available on Windows Desktops or allow you to read and write to a local file system. The problem is that it can take a bit of work to get this code to work on Windows Mobile accessing a database.

Ultimately you might be asking, why would I want to store and image in a database? Well in an environment where you synchronizing data between a local mobile database and a consolidated (central) database this can be extremely useful. Imagine if an insurance adjuster went to an accident scene, took a picture of a damaged car, loaded it into his Windows Mobile database and then replicated that image up to the Insurance headquarters for approval. All of this could be done in a very short period of time when using images in the database. Another good example might be a doctor who was waiting for a patient chart to become available. If you could store the image in a database this chart could be sent down to the doctor's device once it became available.

For this article I am not going to get into how to synchronize the images to and from a remote and central database as this is typically fairly straightforward when using a data synchronization technologies like MobiLink

Save images to SQL CE

Storing binary objects (such as image, office document etc.) into database is a little cumbersome when it comes to retrieval. Hence the most commonly accepted way is only store the file path in the database, and to store the documents on a file share.

Store and Display Images from MS Access Database Using C#

There is only the difference of coding syntax to stream the binary data of image content type to upload it into MS Access Database using C#/VB in ASP.Net 2.0

OleDb is used to connect the web site forms with MS Access Database using Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0

Problem upgrading to MVC3 - System.Web.Routing

I'm trying to upgrade to .NET 4 and MVC 3.

When trying to compile my project, I get the error:

Error 1 The type or namespace name 'Routing' does not exist in the namespace 'System.Web' (are you missing an assembly reference?) C:\Users\spencer\Desktop\weblauncher\Common\MVCConfig.cs 4 18 Common

The type or namespace name 'Routing' does not exist in the namespace 'System.Web' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

I do have the System.Web.Routing in my references for the project.

BUT - when I try to view System.Web.Routing in the OBJECT BROWSER, nothing is inside!  The System.Web.Routing namespace is not in there - the entire thing is empty!  Could it that the dll is corrupted?  I tried to reinstall the .NET 4 and MVC 3 stuff, but its still empty!

The dll is coming from here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework\v4.0\System.Web.Routing.dll

System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPerm

Good Day all,

Having an issue with an outside user accessing my IIS7 box. I do not have this problem when running the website from my host machine. I found this post: Http://forums.asp.net/t/1371394.aspx. I assure you that this is not a solution because I am not storing any of my files on a network share.

What do you think my approach should be.

I already have read rights to IIS user to my BIN folder.

Thanks for the help.

System.IO.Packaging is not visible

I am new to ASP.net, I installed VS2005 and IIS 5 on my PC and set up my first website using IIS (not the embedded webserver in VS).

For some reason I cannot find the Assembly: "System.IO.Packaging", please let me know if I am allowed to use it in that medium and how can I reference it?

Thanks in advance.
