View all resources on a SharePoint group calendar by default.

I have set up a group calendar in SharePoint and added 10 items to the associated Resources list.  By default resource bookings will not appear on the group calendar unless you manually select the resources through the interface.  I would like the calendar's default view to display all bookings (or all available resources) by default.  Anyone have recommendations on the best way to do this?

Dear collegs,

I have one issue and hope that you maybe can help me.

Namely, I created on new Calendar.  In that Calendar exist 5 standard views (under the main Calendar view) and that are :

1) Day Group

2) Week Group

3) Day 

4) Week

5) Month

What I need is something what missed here - Month Group (namely exists standard view Month but not Month Group).

Do maybe somebody know how can add or make Group Month ? Is for that neccesary some programing or can simply that do only isnide SharePoint.

scrollbar is not showing for sharepoint list with group by view

Hi, have created a Share point 2007 list having a huge data. I have created a group by view by grouping the data with category. My requirement is to show the data as web part on a page. When i did so, while expanding the group inside the web part, the web part is expanding. I want to keep the height and width of the web part fixed so that the layout of the page will not be ugly looking. But though I am putting the option for fixed height and width in the web part setting but I am not able to see the scroll bars. Where as I can see the height and width are fixed but could see a few data instead of all the data with scroll bar.   Please advice me if there is any solution or workaround.Deeptyranjan

Sharepoint Calendar export to Outlook but can only view the Title column

I have created a Calendar in Sharepoint for booking out company vehicles. The fields I have created are: Vehicle (Choice), Driver (User/Group), Start & End Times, Title (text), DisplayField (Calculated text based on Vehicle + Title...... it would be nice to include Driver but it seems Sharepoint cannot handle the User/Group datatype in a calculated field.....but I digress). I use the DisplayField calculated field in my default calendar view in Sharepoint. All is good at this point. When one connects it to Outlook (via the Action menu in Sharepoint) the calendar is added but all the entries show only the Title field. If I double click on an entry, only the title field appears - the Vehicle and Driver values are missing. When I try to create a new entry - only the Title field (plus other default Outlook fields) are available. So: How can one display a value other than Title by default, and how can I display the other columns when looking at the event detail?

Well the title says it all really. We have a functioning sp 2010 site, setup this weekend, that's working great so far.  Primarily its being used for the company manual and procedures (a wiki site).  Search is working well and so on. I added a calendar with the intention of showing key company activities, plus holiday information and who's out at meetings.  We're a small company and this is unlikely to get ridiculously except on exceptional days. As it stands, when i create an item (for example someone out for a weeks holiday) unless another user adds one of the 'attendees' of the holiday event to the calendar it doesn't show up.  If I add all users as attendees then they can all see it by default. However, if I show that our chairman is attending a meeting at a client, then I can't explicitly say that the chairman is an attendee because for everyone to see it, they have to be attendees as well. I nsoed around a little and thought target audiences might be the way to go.  I configured all users and manager relationships, compiled the audience (it shows the right number of users).  However, if I setup a meeting with the chairman as an attendee, and the whole company audience as the target audience, then people still can't see it. Back to square one. So, is there an actual answer to this?  A different type of calendar, a query that

Group Calendar View


I created a team site from the template but am struggling with the calendar views.  When I load the page, I want to see each person in the group in the calendar web part.  By default, I can only see myself. 

The default view is set to "Group Week" so it would seem that everyone should be visible.  When I select People | SiteMembers, they show up so there isn't a permission problem.

Is there a different "group" than the site members which the webpart reads from?  I can't seem to find any info on this.

SharePoint 2007 - Calendar view of many teams



Many teams are using the SharePoint 2007 feature in my company.

My boss wants to see a view which shows him all the calendars.

Is it possible to create a calendar view which is an aggregate of multiple calendars?

I am using SharePoint 2007 enterprise.


Edit: I guess this feature is called the Calendar Overlay. (not sure though). How can I have this in 2007 environment?

Synchronize group calendar from Sharepoint 2007 (SBS Server 2008) using ActiveSync for mobile device


I've created a Public Folder Calendar on my Exchange Server that our Office Manager uses to inform all our partners and staff (small medical practice) of vacations, group meetings, etc.

I'd like to make this calendar available to mobile devices (1 Windows Mobile, 1 Blackberry, 3 iPhones). I know that individual user Exchange Calendars can sync, but I'm told Microsoft isn't making any effort to make this happen for Public Folder calendars because they're being deemphasized and will disappear in either the next or subsequent version of Exchange. There's a third party product that claims to do this (Outlook AddIn). Since the Public Folder Calendars are being de-emphasized in favor of the Sharepoint calendar, one would think that Activesync would be able to work with the SharePoint group calendar, but apparently that's not the case. Is my best bet still the Add to Outlook product from diditbetter.com?

Calendar View for External Data List in SharePoint 2010?


I'd like to create a calendar view from data contained in an External List.  My external content type has a Start Date, End Date, and other calendar fields.  Is this possible using the out of the box BCS?

For extra credit - I'd like to then use this calendar as an overlay on other calendars within my SharePoint 2010 application.

SHAREPOINT 2010(WSS) Calendar View



I use WSS 4.0 with SPCalendarView. I changed properties EnableV4Renderign to false and I still can't  use button next and previus in view day and week. When I use month view everything will be ok, but when I click on "day" view is changed but when I press button next the page are reloaded but nothing change. Somebody can help?

Would like to have Outlook group calendar update our SharePoint calendar

I have a group calendar in Outlook and I would like our SharePoint calendar to be automatically updated when changes are made to the Outlook group calendar. Is there a way to do this? Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Calendar View: Unable filter Recurring Event by Start/End Time and Group by Recurring Event View

Hi All,
I have just found several issues with Calendar View from WSS 3.0:

Unable to filter by [Start Time] and [End Time]
I am not sure why these 2 columns doesn't appear in the Filtering column in the View Settings. The workaround found in the internet is to create calculated column for Start Time and and End Time. However, it doesn't work for Recurring Event, the calculated column will show only first recurring event Start Time.

Unable to use "Group By"
When I create new view in Calendar using format: "Standard View, with Expanding Recurring Events", there is no option to specify "Group By". Anyone knows how to show all recurring event in List view and grouped by Start Time (or any other column).

How to delete the default columns( All day Event field ) from the Calendar List in sharepoint?



Is there anyway of disabling the All day Event field in a Calendar list. I don't have the option to hide it either.

Changing default 7 day calendar view to 5 days (mon-fri)


We are currently using a 'list' calendar on month view for holidays.

The calendar is currently showing monday to sunday. We work a 5 day week so saturday/sunday are irrelevant. Is it possible to change this view so that it only displays mon to fri??


SharePoint 2010 Work Group Calendar

 Question: Does anyone know how to default the workgroup calender in SP 2010 to display by default additional users on the calendar. Right now I can only see that the current user is displayed and then the user need to use the "Add Person" field.

Default Value for 'Person or Group' column in a Sharepoint 2010 Custom List



In Sharepoint 2010 I have a Custom List with a column of the type 'Person or Group'.
I would like to have a default name for this 'Person or group' column.
So when a user creates a new list entry and leves the 'Person or Group' column value blank the list entry should be created with the default value für the 'Person or Group' column.

Is there a way to schieve this?
