Question: How do I enable/add the ability to Customize my Theme in SharePoint 2010 if the section is missing in one site collection on a server?
I'm doing all this on a staging server, not our production server.
I have a site collection that has been successfully moved from WSS 3.0 to SharePoint 2010 Server (Enterprise).
I ran the Visual Upgrade on all sites in the Site Collection, so that the v4 interface is being used.
When I edit the Theme (Site Actions / Site Settings: Look and Feel / Site Theme), I can only choose an existing one, and have no way to Customize it. The Customize Theme section simply isn't present.
Another new Site Collection (not an upgrade from WSS) on the same server correctly shows the Customize Theme section.
I checked all the features available and didn't see anything that stood out. (It's possible I missed it).
Hi all, Hopefully this is an easy question for somebody. There is an existing theme in SharePoint 2007 called "Wheat" and I need to import or recreate this to be used in a SharePoint 2010 site.
I know you can add a theme through "Site settings - Galleries - Themes" and adding a new item in SharePoint but can you copy or export a theme from SharePoint 2007?
I have a newly installed Sharepoint Server 2010 (say,
http://spserver/) somewhere on our LAN on Windows Server 2008 R2. And I am working with Word 2010 on my Windows 7 machine. I have created a Document library somewhere in a subsite of the Sharepoint server (say,
Now, working with Word 2010 I want to simply save the document that I'm working into that document library Doclibrary. I go to Word 2010 backstage... and can't find anything there.
1) Save As? It only shows my file system...
2) Save & Send? I see there Save to Sharepoint. But Browse for Location button gives me nothing. If I press Save As here, I just get my file system again.
What should I configure on Sharepoint server or in my machine, so that I can save to my doclibrary with as few clicks as possible, just like I always did with my local file system.
Connected SQL data table to SP 2010 ECT from SQL table. The SQL table has several fields that have a type of "numeric(3,0)". The SP 2010 list shows all fields form SQL. When we open up InfoPath Designer and reference the SP List data (from
SQL) all of our numer fields are missing from the available fields list.
I amd going to try another data type but that hardly feels like a solution. If anyone has any ideas please let me know!
According to the following MS article, the Tags feature is linked to the Managed Metadata Service, which is required to use Tags. For some reason I cannot find this feature as described in the article where it specified Managed Metadata Service is located
in the Application Management section. What should I check to make sure this feature/service can be enabled?
I have followed Jie Lie (Technical sharepoint Product Manger) steps in entirety (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/opal/archive/2009/11/19/user-profile-sync-setup-in-sharepoint-server-2010-beta.aspx),
my sync with AD is working fine except it is not pulling the pictures in the AD.
Here is my issue, we have photos of all employees stored as domain.xyz.jpg in the custom attribute (emp_pics_2001) with type string, but the picture url type is url (is this the culprit type change), I am using the custom attribute to map the field in the
Sharepoint 2010 miis client.
I am using the below url to do the set up:
i did check the profile db picture url field is NULL, i have all the other values for person except the picture.., I have already wasted more than 2 days in figuring this out
If i just get domain.xyz.jpg pulled to sharepoint, then i can prefix a url in front of it using powershell
I am using a full trusted service account with full permissions to the domain
please help me out..
