Report Builder 3 report preview error in SharePoint integrated mode

Hello folks! I've faced some strange error with RB 3.  My environment is: Win 2008R2+SQL2008R2 CU3+Sharepoint Foundation services 2010 SharePoint services integrated with Reporting Services.  When I try to run RB3 from SharePoint library and built some report I get strange error at the previw screen : Failed to preview report. The item 'http://myserver/cd6409dc-1089-4e8a..' cannot be found. Details: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The item 'http://myserver/cd6409dc-1089-4e8a-a2a4-f231c97039aa' cannot be found. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ItemNotFoundException: The item 'http://myserver/cd6409dc-1089-4e8a-a2a4-f231c97039aa' cannot be found.    at Microsoft.ReportingServices.WebServer.ReportingService2010Impl.CreateReportEditSession(String Report, String Parent, Byte[] Definition, String& EditSessionID, Warning[]& Warnings)    at Microsoft.ReportingServices.WebServer.ReportingService2010.CreateReportEditSession(String Report, String Parent, Byte[] Definition, String& EditSessionID, Warning[]& Warnings)  The most intresting thing, that my test environment with Win 2008R2 CTP+SQL2008R@ Nov CTP is working properly without any error. Could you please advise how to resole this problem? Thanks in advance, Andre.

Setting Title on SSRS (SharePoint Integrated Mode) subscription.

I have some subscriptions in SSRS where the report goes directly to a Document Library on Sharepoint.  The subscription works fine, however, I would like to have the Title of the report be the current date that the report is run.  Is there a way to put a formula such as =[today] in the Title field of the File Options section on the Subscription properties?  I have tried this but either it is not possible or I am not using the correct syntax.  Thanks, Tim Olig

While trying to view a report in integrated mode i see an unsupported RPL stream error

Trying to deploy a report in integrated mode on MOSS 2007. SQL server version is 2008 R2. I see the following:   ??? ?????????? ? ????м???? ?? ??????? ????????? ??????. ?????????? ?????????????м?? ?????? ?????? RPL: 34.62.1836345404. ??????м?? ??????: 10.3.     Yes i know its in russian. Another fail of Microsoft not being able to see the error codes and strings in english language, makes finding solutions even harder, because first you must find HOW is this called in english, then look for solution. Okay so, i found out that it is actually transalted into: unsupported RPL stream version detected 34.62.1836345404 expected version 10.3 Now, everywhere around the webs they say that this is because my Add-in is out of date and i need new RS addin for MOSS 2007.  But the link is dead!    For example, here http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/61357765-52aa-4085-9ee0-4cb494a6c3ad   @For SQL 2008 R2 together with WSS 3.0 / MOSS 2007, you need the SQL server 2008 november CTP add in:  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=44bda62c-0cda-4a99-8d0a-d7fe06b39422 But the link is dead and there is no hint as to what happened.   The only valid link i found is this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=65606fdd-093f-4c

SharePoint 2010 Reporting Services Integrated-mode Error

I am running SharePoint 2010 and Reporting Services 2008 R2 SharePoint integrated-mode. I am able to browse to the reportserver site : http://DBserver/reportserver which lists my site collections and I am able to get to the document library which holds my reports. However, when I try opening a report I get the following error: Report Server has encountered a SharePoint error. (rsSharePointError) The security validation for this page is invalid. Click Back in your Web browser, refresh the page, and try your operation again. For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors I am able to resolve that issue by going to Central Admin, Application Management, General Settings and turning Web Page Security Validation Off. But if I do that I get an error when using silverlight features like site, or list creation. Any ideas?

managed IIS7module +.Net 4.0 integrated pipeline + Medium Trust Level +GAC

I'm developing a managed module for IIS7. Assembly with my code is placed in GAC and worked fine within 2.0 pipeline...

But with .NET 4.0 pipeline (and Medium Trust Level chosen) there are no permissions to read registry and code is unable to read/write "C:\Program Files\<Folder>\MyAppConfig.file"

Is there any way to grant my assembly with proper permissions to do this?

Why do I get default error page desipite setting customErrors mode="Off"?

I could never figure it out -  set  <customErrors mode="Off" /> in all web.config files that exist under Interpub/wwwroot, but still get default error page. Which web.config does SharePoint use?

500 Error generating SSRS Report in SharePoint Integrated Mode

Our environment looks as follows:

- MOSS 2007 Site/Central Admin (Enterprise) on Server A

- SQL Reporting Services 2008 R2 on Server B

- Report created on workstation using Report Builder 3.0

- SharePoint Library (with Promoted InfoPath fields) is the XML datasource

The report generates perfectly fine in development, but once loading the RDL up to the SP Site we get the following error when trying to view:

An error occurred during client rendering.

The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.

Using this generic information we have checked into numerous apparent fixes, from confirming settings in the Central Admin, to changing the Zone Authentication to NTLM, to ensuring Anonymous Access is disabled, as well as some tweaks in IIS, etc.

We're still not having any luck getting the report to generate.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Reporting Services Integrated mode 2008 R2 Subscription Email Error

I have setup report subscriptions delivered via email,  on Sharepoint and they tend to fail sending email randomly. It works most of the time, once or twice a week few subscriptions fail. Here is the detailed error message:

Error Handling: Throwing Custom Exception Types from a Managed COM+ Server Application

Exception handling semantics in .NET are based on type, so you can create custom exceptions that have their own properties and methods. In .NET, exceptions are first-class citizens, and since they're the built-in error handling mechanism, all .NET-compliant languages must support exceptions. In addition, COM+ services are available to .NET code as Enterprise Services, so you can leverage exceptions in your Enterprise Services design.In this article the author describes custom exceptions, throwing exceptions across COM interop boundaries, and working with Enterprise Services.

Setting accessibility mode for multiple web applications

We have a SharePoint farm consisting of 5 web applications. These are tied together through branding and a custom sitemapprovider which present the farm as a single environment to end users. Our visually disabled users however have to enable the accessibility mode for each web application. Which is a nuisance, ideally they would only have to enable once for the complete farm. Does anybody have a solution for this problem.

Cannot export from a Report in SharePoint integrated mode in a server hardend environment

We have installed Reporting Services 2008 integrated with MOSS with SQL Server 2008 on a 64 bit platform.

The environment has worked fine in test (but the servers are not hardend).

With the production environment, any attempt to export from a report into another format (eg excel, tiff etc) results in an unexpected error within SharePoint requiring closing the browser and reopening.

There are no details behind the error. We can also find no traces of the error within any of the logs (SharePoint, Reporting Services, Windows event log etc)

When the report is opened directly from Reporting Services (ie http://servername:8080/reportserver) the report exports fine. Similarly, if the report is opened directly from Report Builder 2, or through opening Report Builder 2 from SharePoint there is no issue. This issue only happens when the report is invoked directly through SharePoint.

We can only assume that this issue has something to do with server hardening/UAC as we have

RDL Rendering (500 Internal Server) Error at Sharepoint Integrated Reporting Service

I have a serious problem that cannot be solved by googling around the keywords below:
sharepoint, moss 2007, reporting service, ssrs 2008, rendering, internal server error, ....

The error is;

"An error occurred during client rendering. The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. "

Everything is O.K.;

* When I render the report from the REPORTSERVER (http://localhost/ReportServer)
* When the reports are scheduled to be sent by the reporting service (planned via MOSS 2007)

But if I open (render) the RDL file from the sharepoint REPORTS LIBRARY interface, all of the reports fail with that internal error message above.

It is weird also that parametrized reports are displayed without errors although the parameters are queried from a sql dataset. But I got the error when rendering the report after I've chosen a parameter  and order "apply/report"...

Possible causes how I met that error may be;

After I have installed (then uninstalled) AJAX extensions
After I have re-configured IIS Web Service Extensions list items

Possible solution alternatives I've found;

I've found a solution on MSDN replying a similar issue with an ideal cause of the error but an evreka answer but no sol

WPF+ VS2010: Design mode error "The URI prefix is not recognized"?

our application uses VS2008 and WPF. To apply the styles in the design mode, we have used the "BlendMergedDictionary" class (see the following link) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/995101/how-do-i-get-wysiwyg-design-in-blend-vs-without-merged-resourcedictionary-in-ever It works very well in VS2008 IDE. Now we plan to move our application to VS2010. In VS2010 Design mode (click on ~.xaml design), we get error message:  "The URI prefix is not recognized."    at System.Net.WebRequest.Create(Uri requestUri, Boolean userUriBase)    at System.Net.WebRequest.Create(Uri requestUri)    at MS.Internal.WpfWebRequestHelper.CreateRequest(Uri uri)    at System.Windows.ResourceDictionary.set_Source(Uri value) the styles does not apply at the design time. It works fine in runtime. The following are the code: public class BlendMergedDictionary : ResourceDictionary { /// <summary> /// This class the purpose is allow we reference the "themes" and "styles" in resource dictionaries in separated assemblies /// by using StaticResource. The big problem using StaticResource is that it will complaints at design time can not find the resources /// So we use this class in xaml file, if it is design time, it will load the resource dictionaries in. /// If it is not in design time, it will use the reso

Subscriptions cannot be created, Sharepoint Integrated mode

Error when I try to add subscription: "Subscription cannot be created because credentials used to run this report are not stored." I have SSRS 2005 and WSS 3.0 both installed on a Windows 2008 x64 Server.  SQL 2005 is the database, which his on a 2nd server (also Win 2008 x64). I'm able to publish reports to sharepoint.  I'm able to view them in sharepoint web parts, but only when I set the credentials for the datasource to "stored connections" and check both "Use as windows credentials" and for "Set execution context to account". Everything I read seems to say that I have to use Stored Credentials.  That's what I'm doing though.... necessary in order for me to view the reports within sharepoint.   Other environment things that may be important: The Report Server App Pool is using a domain account.  The same one I'm using to execute the report.  The WSS Content App Pool and the Sharepoint Central Admin App Pool are also using domain accounts.  However all 3 are using different accounts.  I see reference to Kerberos vs. NTLM authentication.  Up to this point I've not had to completely understand that.  So the only thing I do understand about that is that in my Sharepoint Central Admin --> Application Management, Auth Type: Windows; Anonymous is NOT checked, an
