I just installed SP 2010 and was running fine. All the sudden I was getting a 500 respnose when I would browse to a site. The only event that I can recall that might have sparked this issue was changing the administrator password. The administrator
account is not tied to SharePoint as a service account etc. I have installed all the necessary updates / hotfixes that are required for installation. Here's the error from the log. Thanks.
