Sharepoint designer 2007 - Java date query - and how to disable value required for hidden fields

Hi guys,

created a list, i've managed to get field to hide and dates to populate into the applicable fields, I just have 2 queries taht I need some help with

>I need to work out how to get var tmoz to ignore saturdays and sundays - i.e. if request is raised on fri - it would default to the following mondays

>I need to work out how to mark a field as no input required if it is hidden, and input required if visible (urgent change justifacation)

 Below is the current java i'm using

<script type="text/javascript">
  _spBodyOnLoadFunctionNames.push("hideFieldsOnStart");
  function hideFieldsOnStart()
  {
   //hide the control at start
   var control = getTagFromIdentifierAndTitle("input","TextField","Urgent Change Justifacation");
   var control2 = getTagFromIdentifierAndTitle("input","DateTimeFieldDate","Proposed Implementation Date");

Query does not work on sharepoint 2007. Gives error

Hello,

I am facing problems retrieving correct number of records when I am performing a people search on SP 2007.

Following is the query that I had originally written:

Select Title,Path,PreferredName,WorkPhone,MobilePhone,WorkEmail,JobTitle,OfficeNumber,PictureURL,Responsibilities,Skills,PastProjects,SipAddress,EmployeeLocation,Manager,Department,Assistant,EmployeeType,AccountName,UserProfile_GUID from Scope() WHERE ("Scope"='People') AND ( FirstName LIKE '%Keyword%' OR LastName LIKE '%Keyword%' OR OfficeNumber LIKE '%Keyword%' ) ORDER BY Title ASC

But, there is a problem here. Those records where the condition "FirstName LIKE '%Keyword%'" is satisfied, does not display if there is no value in OfficeNumber. This is giving incorrect number of records.

To correct this, I have changed the query and am using UNION in my query. See the following query:

(Select Title,Path,PreferredName,WorkPhone,MobilePhone,WorkEmail,JobTitle,OfficeNumber,PictureURL,Responsibilities,Skills,PastProjects,SipAddress,EmployeeLocation,Manager,Department,Assistant,EmployeeType,AccountName,UserProfile_GUID from Scope() WHERE ("Scope"='People') and (EmployeeType = 'Contingent Worker' or EmployeeType = 'Employee') AND (FirstName LIKE '%Keyword%'))
UNION
(Select Title,Path,PreferredNam

Use an Access 2007 view query as a datasource in SharePoint

I have a legacy Access database with which I would like to display filtered data in SharePoint.  Specifically I would like to write an Access view query, and display the results of that query in a SharePoint page or list.

I cannot load the source table into SharePoint because it contains sensitive data.  Is there a way to display this query view in SharePoint without having to move the entire database into SharePoint or convert the Access backend to SQL Server?

Write Custom WebParts for SharePoint 2007

The popularity of SharePoint Portal Server 2003 led Microsoft to tightly integrate the next SharePoint version, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007, with its ASP.NET 2.0 WebPart framework. SharePoint 2007 Workflows - Things to Consider Before You Start

SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) utilizes the Workflow Foundation (WF) to enable workflows on lists and content types. But before you start doing cartwheels there are few things you should know before you get started. The experiences I'll be discussing are not from book smarts but from building real MOSS solutions that are in production today.

Content Query Web Part missing in SharePoint 2010

If you don't see content query web part listed in the web parts list, this is because you have not enabled "Search Server Web Parts" feature in site collection features. Enable this feature and content query web part will show in the list of web parts.

Writing Custom Web Parts for SharePoint 2007

As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, SharePoint 2007 is built on top of ASP.NET 2.0, which means you can now use ASP.NET 2.0 features (Forms Authentication, Master Pages, Membership, Site Navigation, New Data Controls, etc) when building SharePoint sites. This is true for both the new Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 version (which will be a free download) as well as Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (which costs money).
